Everyone has their tastes. Doesn't necessarily mean you should tell people to not buy it if you don't like it. No disrespect. Everything you said in the video was pretty valid.
So, I've never played Burnin Rubber 5, but I have played the previous entries in the series, back when it was a series of browser games. For browser games, these were GREAT. You got so much content, all for free. The third game especially is my favorite, and ironically, has more gameplay variety than the 5th, and better balancing (cars you unlock are actually better than your starter car, there's at least a dozen gamemodes, albeit with small differences, it's welcome, and a lot more levels)
So heres some info about this supposed "game I've never heard of" (don't tell me what i haven't heard of thanks), this game was first made in the Shockwave engine (the version is from 2007 i believe) for BROWSERS in 2013 (you can figure this out by reading the Steam page and reviews you ignored i guess) by a couple of guys (idk how big their team was at the time but it was likely 2 people), it uses a lot of assets that are over 15 years old at this point and the reason the game is the way it is is because of engine limitations and the devs just having other stuff to do (they've released A LOT of games before BR5 man), the Steam version is a Unity port with some Unity graphical effects and better textures and stuff but otherwise its still the same game, why is it on Steam? Browsers no longer support Shockwave (yknow like Flash) and basically no site hosts the game anymore, you can find the XS version which runs on WebGL but its a VERY different game. Judging this like a regular racing game is fine ig but also misleading, it should be judged like a revived web game also the title is Burnin' Rubber 5HD... how did you screw that up side note, this game is NEVER getting an update unless its some critical issue with the game not launching or something, the developer is infamous for not updating their stuff
Wow, that's quite a lot to say over a "web game." Frankly, I don't care about any of the circumstances around a game. I'm not here to judge a game that I don't think was good and then say it's fine because of this or that. You could argue which is the best way to judge games: whether with limitations in mind or not but I think it's more valuable to people to just know whether a game is fun to play or not regardless of any other fact.
@@ThroarbinGaming Circumstances do matter in games, especially in old titles. This game is almost 12 years old so i think it's not fair to judge it like new indie game. The steam reviews are so positiv beacase most people play this game ot of nostalgia and know that this is a web game. You should have looked at the game history before saying that it's a bad game and not worth a dollar. There are many games that people like even tho they are old. Stalker, Fallout, Half life or even GTA are games that where good in their time but bad in todays standards. And the starting car are definitely not the fastest, you were just too lazy to try the rest. Some of your points about the games is true but review was not fair. And about the boss battle being hard all i can say that it's a skill issue
I've played this game in 2018, and the nostalgia I've gotten for the Burnin' Rubber series is crazy. I honestly wont recommend this game if your a new player since better game's exist now that we're in 2023. Overall good game, but not worth for the money. Awesome video by the way!
Well it's your opinion and I can agree with most of what you've said and i respect that I like the burnin' rubber series including the spinoffs but burnin' rubber 5 was a little disappointing since i expected an open world like burnin' rubber 4 and the car physics is better but overall it's not really bad Almost every part of burnin' rubber has mods and some of them change the game (not completely) like Burnin' rubber 5A which it aims to overhaul the game with almost everything possible There's also nitrostream 2: sabotage which is also really good Maybe you can check the mods out most of these mods don't require the base game
Forgot to mention Almost EVERY PART of burnin' rubber games (excluding br5 xs, br5 air and multiplayer) was made for web games before they went out of support
I liked this game kind but idk why you would "do not buy" but the game is kind fine its an remastered of Flash game *2013* and idk why cuz the models vehicles are excalty same. And saddly there is no Helicopter but Burnin' rubber 5 it kind bad but i think burnin' rubber 3-4 or 5 Mods are still better than this. Edited: The game have very bad handing cuz the developer is lazy and also. I wish they should like add Sub Challenges. And in OG BR5 you able to reset.. and yea you cant reset in HD which is kind annoying. But Yea BR5HD Vehicles is not good as you think but the previouses ones have much better system. And some vehicles have pros and cons So yeah. Also the game is moddable Minigun is now worst guns to use cuz its not good and its worse than Machine gun. I recommend you use heavy machine gun, shotgun or Railgun.
Wait, a HELICOPTER!? And yeah, I am fully aware how to drift, lol, I just found it made little difference with many of the vehicles I tried. Also interesting strategy for the last fight. Never found any particular vehicle to necessarily be "better" but idk
