Nah you can notice the movements of LaBrie and the pressure that it looks like he gives his voice. LaBrie wasnt re-recorded, I also know a friend who saw it live. LaBrie sounds amazing here too dunno why people are getting worked up. He's recovered
this is the real version of hollow years they made years ago on their demos, check falling into infinity demos, that's the real DT's music on this album, amazing album, i love that one 😄👍

That last chorus is still the best key change in any DT song. That transition was absolutely beautiful. Also only DT can make a 5 mins song over 10 mins, love it 🤘

It sounds to me like Petrucci was just doing everything he could to avoid copying his solo from Budokan which was so badass and well done that it sounded very much like it was written and not improvised(that could very well be the case). Still a great version of the song though

LaBrie sang amazing in Budapest on 1st July. Literally, his voice was perfect. I don't feel, that he is the weakpoint of DT. He is a great singer, and we know, he had accident in 1994. Watch the Awake tour in Japan 1995. James's voice is much much better now ...

Yeah bands will do that, I still remember my first guitar teacher telling me and my friend he had just recorded a live DVD with his band and they just had to go to the studio to re-record some parts to release it, we where like wtf? isn't it live? then he explained the whold ordeal on how bands release live performance videos. Finding that out was a bit like finding out Santa wasn't real haha

Why critique James LaBrie so much? I think his voice is beautiful for a band that has so much diversity in its style and sound. He might have a few hitches here and there, but afterall, he's human too. While instruments can be maintained or tuned similiarly everytime, or be replaced with a new one, a human's voice can't. Just cut him some slack, and enjoy the awesome performance as a whole :)
