Honoring Doc Watson. My brother loved Doc. When brother passed, looking at some pics, he was standing beside a album cover of Doc’ s Religious Songs. We played two of them at his funeral

Raised my kids on Nitty Gritty Dirt Band albums. It was so great in 2012 when we were able to take our oldest son to see NGDB, he loves them so much!

Having seen Doc Watson many times over the years, the first time was the craziest!!!! Winter of 78/79 in the attic of a big farmhouse turned into a music venue called "Harry Hopes" in Cary, Illinois!!! So, a Jimmy Driftwood song sung by Doc Watson, was the 1st bluegrass song I played on guitar!!!

Vince must hold some sort of record for musical collaborations. Just saw him in concert at The Oregon State Fair on 9-1-15 and here he is 2 weeks later playing with this group of living legends. Still remember my first Nitty Gritty Dirt Band concert and wondering where the harmonica sound was coming from. Didn't expect it to be in the mouth of drummer Jimmie Fadden.

+lvsrlmsc No kidding. I can't think of another famous band's drummer multi-tasking like this in concert.

+lvsrlmsc Great reference. His live performance of "Carolina In The Pines" is one of my top ten favorite YT videos.

Someday he might catch Emmylou in the number of collaborations if he tries a little harder.

Agreed! Billy absolutely kills it, he’s got a great voice and his picking is second to none. I really like that’s it’s just him alone with his guitar. For the life of me I can’t understand why Billy isn’t more we’ll known.

Didn't like what they did with this classic at all. He's no Doc Watson. He didn't even credit Jimmie Driftwood.

This song is a total lie. What's this "There never was a horse like the Tennessee Stud" nonsense? What about Secretariat? Huh?
