I definitely believe he was somebody’s cat either they lost him or abandoned him. He just seems far too friendly in the beginning. I’m so glad that you found him and gave him a great life. Animals deserve the best.

@@rexysmile you just ask the vet and they put this little thing inside them and it shows that you own the animal. so if anyone finds it they can give it back, but people are greedy and sometimes keep the animal.

My man is just like this with his little girl kitty. He's a big burly guy but brings her breakfast in bed, numerous places for her to lay. I am the other woman she will get in between us, she hisses at me sometimes, walks over my head to get to Daddy, and knows how to get me to get her food or treats. I had cats and I actually adore her and am so happy she loves him like that. Lol

@@gardenjoy5223 I don't agree. If the cat had constant itching and irritation from fleas, the relief from showering would have been almost instantaneous or if not, then very soon afterwards. And I think the cat would be smart enough to figure out that it was something to do with the shower.

Perhaps by prolonged exposure, over and over again, which would be a very mean thing to do. There are kinder ways for a cat to help it get rid of flees.

Years back, I moved into a house and noticed an old black cat always hanging around it. I learned from my neighbors that the cat's previous owner abandoned him when he/she moved away. As an older cat, the stray would have had a had time competing for food with the younger ones but avoided starving because my neighbors were kind enough to keep feeding him until I moved in. The cat wouldn't let anyone else adopt him but stayed inside and around the empty house by going through a small pet door. No doubt he was waiting for an owner who would never return. It was so heart-breaking to see so I immediately adopted the cat and named him Puma. He was the sweetest cuddlebug ever and brought me a lot of joy. Sadly, he only lived about a year or so longer before passing away from age and illness. Its been 14 years since I lost Puma and I still miss him so much...
Definitely not a wild cat, but an abandoned one. The bath wasn't a completely foreign thing to him. Why would anyone abandon such a great animal? Or any animal at all... Sad, but glad he got a loving couple to adopt him and care for his little soul.
Its always possible he belonged to a family that moved and he decided to escape and go back to his old area, or just got lost. The cat is far too friendly, so I doubt he was mistreated. Obviously wanting affection so he's probably been without a home for a while.
I think sometimes the owners go to jail. Because of the stigma they don't look for anyone to adopt the cat .
No excuse but maybe the current situation could be a reason there is so much heartbreak going on at present all for some thing called flu we have it every year get over it ffs

Nothing unusual... You can't force compassion, it has to be heartfelt. And that comes from personal experience in most cases.

Videos & stories like this restore my faith in humanity. The news cycle is just incessant bad news dominated by violence, crime & often death. You see so many stories of cold, callous & cruel people committing atrocities like murders or fraud. Abandoning a cat or dog is right up there with the worst of crimes as far as I’m concerned.
How could you resist a cute fuzzy face & meows like that & not be a cold sociopath? Answer: You can’t. Only a heartless person could. Our cats & dogs bring out the best in us. They bring our lives meaning & purpose & provide immeasurable joy. We might save them but they can save us ever day.
This woman is an angel. She took this time to build a rapport with the kitty because she has a heart of gold. You guys were meant to have him. What a cutie! I cannot believe how well he behaved in the shower. My 2 boys clean themselves obviously but I try to clean them up from time to time but they DETEST water. I can only wipe them with a wet cloth & even then they get pissed. He is a champ!
Stories like this remind me that there are amazing people out there doing incredible acts. She might not be a billionaire or a celebrity but to me, people like her are heroes and kudos to all those who provide forever homes & advocate & care for cats & dogs. You rock!

Yeah. Or maybe it's always been their cat and they're faking a rescue video. I hate being 'that person' but after several channels have been exposed as fake animal rescue channels, I'm always subtly looking for concrete evidence that these are legit. I didn't really see any here. No actual vet footage or reports, the cat looked pretty healthy despite them saying he was in 'rough shape', it was very trusting of them VERY quickly - something most cats aren't when it comes to strangers...and especially if putting one in the shower! I'm just saying, videos like these; are easy to fake and get thousands of people praising you. I hope I'm wrong though, they seem like nice people.

Definitely. My hubby loves cats and we’ve been married 31 years this May. Our little feral kitty we brought in from outside is my husband’s cat. We named her Josie and when we took her to the vet she had been in their TNR program and was deemed feral. We’ve had her now 2 years and she is the most loving cuddle bug ever.🐈💕

It's aways sad when they hesitate to come to you. It makes me wonder what humans have done to make him feel apprehensive. Then when Klaus ran over to you and was snuggling with you in the car what a great feeling because he trusts you and feels safe around you. I bet that shower felt great to him after being on the street. He's such a pretty little cat. When your husband was singing pat-a-cake to Klaus that was so sweet. He is one loved, happy little guy.

And so gentle. Most cats would leave some scratches when having a wash, - sometimes we just have to wash them. And most cats would not allow the tummy rubbing. Well done humans! Thank you. BUT PLEASE get some sort of Vet approved restraint for when driving. A loose cat can become a lethal missile in a car crash. Or even in hard sudden braking. Save his life again. PLEASE.

I never in a million years thought that after retiring from NYPD that I would go to Phoenix, rescue an abandoned kitty and that she would take over my life? We have not put a tree up in years. We believe our oldest cat died because he kept eating the fake tree needles despite our numerous attempts to get him to leave it alone and our vet seemed clueless. At any rate we decided not to take any chances with our other cats. We have one that will run out the door and grab a pine needle and try to bring it in to eat it and we have to grab it out of her mouth. Cats are adorable and lovable, but a bit on the crazy side.

He was definitely abandoned. House cats are not equipped for sudden wild life and the poor chap must have been very scared once he knew he was deserted. It's why he was dirty and underweight and cried for help as soon as he saw a human. So awesome that this woman was there when she was needed and made sure to capture the little guy. They all struck gold!! I can only wish the worst on whoever abandoned this sweet little guy. He knew he had to turn on the charm and he sure once he knew his rescuer wouldn't harm him, he sure turned on that charm as only a cat can.

We rescued a ginger cat from a parking lot 8 years ago. He was in really bad shape but super friendly. My mom picked him up and put him in the car and he sat in her lap the whole drive. The vet thought he wasn’t gonna make it but he did! Had 8 amazing years with my fat cat. The most incredible and majestic boy. He was super cuddly and fluffy. I miss you my Leo. Lost him two years ago but gave him a good life. Rest In Peace ❤️

I never really liked cats was a dog person till a stray came to my house she looked pregnant after a while so I got worried and put a bed in my summer house the next night there was 2 kittens took her too the vets everything ok she said next night 2 more kittens then dad turns up now I live with 6 cats lol

I miss my happiness. We had him for 18 years. He’s been gone 6 months and I can’t think about him without crying. I still can’t look at black and white cats.
I was like you... I may never be able to have an orange tabby again.. But when it really hits you that your life is stupid without a cat, you're ready ! Yes I know how bad it can hurt. I lost my boy of 7 yo during a routine procedure at the vet. One minute it's fine we'll be heading home shortly the next minute they come out and tell me he was dead. Talk about a gut punch. His litter mate brother and two dog siblings helped me get through it. For weeks I still cried whenever I thought about him. Eventually the pain lessens and the happy moments take it's place. It can take a long time though.Every time we would have a pet pass mom would say she never wanted another.Every time she found room in her heart for another in time.

I saved a kitten in July three years ago from lack of food and water.
The vet said he was about 1 year old.
He had somehow gotten inside my locked apartment building and onto the third floor.
The landlord started down the stairs with the kitten stuffed inside a small box.
Can you imagine the terror that little guy was experiencing?
I told the landlord to hand him over and I'd figure out what to do with him.
He was so skinny you could see every vertebrae in his spine and his hipbones were sticking way out.
It just made me want to cry when I saw him.
He appears to be a tuxedo cat, with gray looking fur.
The fur is actually black with silver ends and he's gorgeous. His eyes are gold with emerald green centers.
I can leave the door of my apt. wide open and he won't go near it,
which means that I'm now owned by two wonderful cat souls!

That is a great story. Cats can flatten themselves to a pancake height. When we caught our feral kitten Sunny who had a necrotic eye that popped out of his head and needed to be removed, he had never been handled by humans. When we got to the vet he jumped off the table, flattened himself and slid under a cabinet on wheels. They tried moving the cabinet but the feline pancake moved with it. There were a few other shenanigans before they called in the custodian. This big man lifted the cabinet with one hand, scooped up the tiny miscreant and took him down to surgery. That was seven years ago and Sunny is a huge, wonderful companion. A few months after the incident his feline sister (Tippy) walked into my house and she is still here too. I love them both.

That's awesome they found themselves a Norwedgian Forest Cat; ear and toe tufts, white tipped tail, acts like a dog, enjoys water, talks a lot, purrs loud, and is super friendly to everyone. We got one at 7 weeks old from a shelter and Meeps asks EXACTLY the same way. Best cats ever.

I did cat rescue work in NY for years, and regularly came across cats that had been dumped. In addition, a neighbor who had five cats sold her house. The day the moving van came, after everything was loaded up, she opened the door (I SAW THIS) and let every single cat go into the street. They had been indoor cats. I only was able to recover one, G-d only knows what happened to poor other babies. Grateful there are open hearted people like these two. The kitty is gorgeous.

Wish i could find a kitten or cat that loving. I always seem to find the ones that do NOT want to be picked up and cuddled. The little one I have now sleeps in my lap( when in the recliner) , sleeps on the bed (no cuddles), she does though have me wrapped around her paw. I adopted her at a rescue center and I love her dearly. Sweet, smart and as stubborn as a mule. Will not come to me and I know she knows what I'm saying because "come on let's open the door" can't get it open quick enough. I told her when I adopted her that I was a patter and a smoocher. I had a cat named Nosey too. The best cat anyone could ask for! He was a huge Siamese and definitely lived all nine of his lives and lived to 18. He is still so fondly remembered even 20 years later. God bless you and your Nosey .

a friend of me built a cat-house (basically an oversized bird-house) that I keep behind my house, so the neighborhood-cats can go inside when it rains.. it's not *that* big, but he put 2 stories in, and i was wondering how any cat would get inside, let alone to the lower story, but he said "if their head fits through the opening, that's all that counts".. lo and behold, last time it was raining there, were 2 in there..

I think the rule of thumb is if a cat can get head in there then they’re whole body can easily get in.

@@DirectorOfChaos9292 not necessarily. If the cat’s an indoor cat, people tend not to think that they need to get their cat chipped, even though all it takes sometimes is leaving the door open a second too long and then their cat’s gone.

That's pretty crazy. Our Calvin looked almost identical to him and he did the same thing to us. We showed up at home one day and there he was freezing cold and hungry. Awesome cat. We had him for 17 years. Hope you have many good years ahead of you.
He settled in right away because he knew he was "HOME".
He was out there looking for YOU. He was meant to be yours and now, he has found HEAVEN in your arms. Thank you for caring enough to help him. He will always bring you happiness for your kindness. God bless all of you. He also saved your lives.
