That is a great story. Cats can flatten themselves to a pancake height. When we caught our feral kitten Sunny who had a necrotic eye that popped out of his head and needed to be removed, he had never been handled by humans. When we got to the vet he jumped off the table, flattened himself and slid under a cabinet on wheels. They tried moving the cabinet but the feline pancake moved with it. There were a few other shenanigans before they called in the custodian. This big man lifted the cabinet with one hand, scooped up the tiny miscreant and took him down to surgery. That was seven years ago and Sunny is a huge, wonderful companion. A few months after the incident his feline sister (Tippy) walked into my house and she is still here too. I love them both.

I did cat rescue work in NY for years, and regularly came across cats that had been dumped. In addition, a neighbor who had five cats sold her house. The day the moving van came, after everything was loaded up, she opened the door (I SAW THIS) and let every single cat go into the street. They had been indoor cats. I only was able to recover one, G-d only knows what happened to poor other babies. Grateful there are open hearted people like these two. The kitty is gorgeous.

Yes I know how bad it can hurt. I lost my boy of 7 yo during a routine procedure at the vet. One minute it's fine we'll be heading home shortly the next minute they come out and tell me he was dead. Talk about a gut punch. His litter mate brother and two dog siblings helped me get through it. For weeks I still cried whenever I thought about him. Eventually the pain lessens and the happy moments take it's place. It can take a long time though.Every time we would have a pet pass mom would say she never wanted another.Every time she found room in her heart for another in time.

@@DirectorOfChaos9292 not necessarily. If the cat’s an indoor cat, people tend not to think that they need to get their cat chipped, even though all it takes sometimes is leaving the door open a second too long and then their cat’s gone.
a friend of me built a cat-house (basically an oversized bird-house) that I keep behind my house, so the neighborhood-cats can go inside when it rains.. it's not *that* big, but he put 2 stories in, and i was wondering how any cat would get inside, let alone to the lower story, but he said "if their head fits through the opening, that's all that counts".. lo and behold, last time it was raining there, were 2 in there..
When this cat bonded with both mom and dad from the beginning, you know he belonged with them. Much love to all three. Thank you both for taking him in. Every cat needs a home.
I just love stories like this, and have rescued a few stray and abandoned cats in my neighbourhood. One thing caught my attention about this story, and I would like to make more people aware of. Micro-chipping your animals. I occasionally help out a disabled friend that has a cat, I found a almond shape lump between her cats shoulder blades. We checked the cat for bite marks etc, but nothing, and had a vet biopsy the lump which came back as cancerous, and quickly had the lump remove, which was quite expensive. In the centre of the lump was, yes you've guess it, the micro-chip. The vet would not confirm that the chip was the cause of the cancer (what vet would, when they are the ones that place it into your pet), but after a quick check on line, I found some sites that suggested that, in some cases it can happen. I am not saying don't get your pet micro-chipped, because if your pet gets lost or stolen, the micro-chip is the only way to prove its yours, but to regularly check that area and if you notice anything strange, get your pet checked.
I definitely believe he was somebody’s cat either they lost him or abandoned him. He just seems far too friendly in the beginning. I’m so glad that you found him and gave him a great life. Animals deserve the best.

Yeah. ThAT look in his dad,s arms says ,,This is MINE. Hands off.!!,,
3:02 I LOVE when a kitten leaps up like that! Tabby cats especially, are great leapers!
Thankyou for adopting both cats, your like me,I couldn't turn them away
Lol, and great job!

Hopefully momma and all the female kittens were spayed, or you will be living with plenty more cats soon.
That you were able to change your mind about cats gives me hope that you'll change your mind about punctuation, too.

God bless both of you for saving his life, I have my Natasha 12 years now after she was abandoned in Phoenix. I never in a million years thought that after retiring from NYPD that I would go to Phoenix, rescue an abandoned kitty and that she would take over my life? But you know what I say, whoever abandoned her, Thank You, because she is the greatest companion ever!
Once you get a kitty definitely makes life a lot better, smiles all around.
Unfortunately for me, getting a cat would make my life worse, it totally sux having bad allergies to pets :'(
You are so right!! I wish I got my kitty years ago!!
She brings me nothing but love and happiness!! I can't wait everyday after work so I can rush home to her meowing at the door when she hears me come in!!

No, they’re made of liquid
I did cat rescue work in NY for years, and regularly came across cats that had been dumped. In addition, a neighbor who had five cats sold her house. The day the moving van came, after everything was loaded up, she opened the door (I SAW THIS) and let every single cat go into the street. They had been indoor cats. I only was able to recover one, G-d only knows what happened to poor other babies. Grateful there are open hearted people like these two. The kitty is gorgeous.
So sad,poor cats
it's sad knowing that that not many cats get this lucky
It's heartbreaking
Which is why I wonder, why 300+ would dislike this video.
I just wish all cat's have a loving home because they are far too beautiful, loving and cuuuuuuuuute to be on the streets.
I have lucky one...found her on top of a garbage can 2,3, week old...one cat at a time...
So true,it's so sad and unfair

What a purring baby! Love him. Lucky him to have you two🤗
I miss my happiness. We had him for 18 years. He’s been gone 6 months and I can’t think about him without crying. I still can’t look at black and white cats.
I was like you... I may never be able to have an orange tabby again.. But when it really hits you that your life is stupid without a cat, you're ready ! The next one(s) will be the right one(s) no matter what. I have black cats now, happiness is back and making more animals happy is priceless. Do yourself a favour Jeanne, adopt a stray !
I know what you mean. My kitty has passed away several years ago and I still miss him.
💔
That's pretty crazy. Our Calvin looked almost identical to him and he did the same thing to us. We showed up at home one day and there he was freezing cold and hungry. Awesome cat. We had him for 17 years. Hope you have many good years ahead of you.

No chip. So whoever left him there was being deliberate
@@DirectorOfChaos9292 not necessarily. If the cat’s an indoor cat, people tend not to think that they need to get their cat chipped, even though all it takes sometimes is leaving the door open a second too long and then their cat’s gone.

And that’s how you know these two are going to make fantastic parents if they decide to go that route. 😍🥰
“How is there even room under there” - as a cat owner, yes.
They can make things happen when they need to, can't they?
a friend of me built a cat-house (basically an oversized bird-house) that I keep behind my house, so the neighborhood-cats can go inside when it rains.. it's not *that* big, but he put 2 stories in, and i was wondering how any cat would get inside, let alone to the lower story, but he said "if their head fits through the opening, that's all that counts".. lo and behold, last time it was raining there, were 2 in there..
Human, "you can't do that"
Cat, "challenge accepted!"
I think the rule of thumb is if a cat can get head in there then they’re whole body can easily get in.
Its a meowing Cheetoh with legs. How adorable.

When this cat bonded with both mom and dad from the beginning, you know he belonged with them. Much love to all three.
Thank you both for taking him in. Every cat needs a home.
I saved and adopted a starving cat, he cried just like that cat, it breaks my heart
That couple was so sweet, kind and caring to this cat. God bless them both for rescuing and taking in this cat and giving him a most wonderful life.
