Ashley, You have no idea how much I needed this video. I’ve been a Christian for many years now and I’m just starting to discover the meaning of some of the blessings that the Lord has given to me. I believe that every Christian has a special way that they connect with God and the way I connect is singing and worshiping Him. I’ve always felt like I belonged on a stage and last year I really felt a calling to do MT. Even as a freshman in high school, I was told that I could do MT as a career, but it wasn’t just other people’s words that helped me make up my mind. I’ve been listening to what the Lord says to me and I truly believe that He has called me to be a light for Him in the world of theater. As of right now, I am training at a Christian theater company so it is easy to share my faith and be myself there as opposed to going to a regular theater. You have shown me how to prepare for the time when I have to leave the Christian theater and how to hold tight to my beliefs This video has reminded me that wherever I end up after this season of life, God has a plan for me. It has also shown me that I need to take more time out of my week just for the Lord. I can’t thank you enough for this video. God loves you so much and I will be praying for you! ❤️✝️

Ashley!!! I love this video, and I love your channel even more now! Knowing that’s you’re a Christian and that you’re a theatre girly is so amazing. I have done shows where directors have pushed boundaries when doing couple work, choreography, etc…I have a show coming up soon, and I can’t wait to have more boundaries and be more open with cast mates! I have been so excited to shine Jesus to all my peeps, and this was so encouraging!🤍
I rarely comment on any video, but I wanted to personally thank you for sharing your experience and raw beliefs, it shows that you truly love The Lord. I have been very convicted recently, because I have found myself yearning to experience what musical theater is, but sadly thinking that it is an unreachable goal for myself. May God bless you and give you the strength and desire to keep seeking him as well as doing what you love.❤️ PS: I would really appreciate if you could share more of your journey through MT.

You just got a new subscriber ☺️ I’m in my theater group in school but like you I’m also a Christ follower and I’ve been questioning whether or not MT is something I should be doing, even though I love it (especially the classics) this really helped me, I especially loved the bullet pt about being a Jesus to others and letting him shine his light through you. ☺️ And I see him in you especially! What a cool topic!! You seem like such a nice and fun person. I will definitely check out your vlogs! ❤️ I'm a Christian myself and have been doing theatre since high school. I had a couple times throughout school where there were shows I was cast in that were everything I wasn't comfortable with. I couldn't get out of them because they were part of my grade, and I was scared to share my real feelings about it. After graduating college, I really started to think about my boundaries and honoring God in theatre. And maybe God allowed me to be in those shows to test me. Now I am currently rehearsing for my second show at a local community theatre. The environment and the people have made my times there so much better and freeing. I feel morally connected to the shows I've been involved in, and I have made amazing friends. I still have to work on balancing my theatre life and my time spent with God, but I am praying for His strength! I wish you the best on your future theatre adventures! ❤️
