I was in Matilda earlier this year and it was so fun! I had the same script with the same rule that we couldn’t highlight in them. I played a big kid and it was SO FUN!

I was the student director in my last show (as well as a minor character) and I carried a fan with me too and a lot of the cast members used it. I was really glad that bringing the fan proved to be useful for the cast.

Love this! Speaking of mic belts, when I was in high school we didn't have the budget for mic belts (yay for supporting the arts lol) so our director is a literal genius and she bought a spool of elastic banding and she cut it to fit our waist and then safety pinned a baby sock to it to hold the mic! It wasn't perfect and was a tad time consuming but it felt so much better than not having anything at all!

I just got done with tech week for Matilda as Matilda, and I spend almost every day sleeping😊

Watching this while packing my makeup bag for dress rehearsal tomorrow (I’m playing Hilda klinemann in rock of ages)

I perform rock of ages in 2 days so this is helpful lol ( I’m playing Hilda klinemann)
