On September 21, 2022, a Chamblee police officer was conducting a routine patrol when he witnessed a Dodge Charger and a Chevrolet Tahoe make an illegal left turn at a red traffic light. Promptly pulling over both vehicles, the officer began his investigation.
The driver of the Charger immediately complied with the officer's request to stop. However, the driver of the Tahoe parked the vehicle in a handicapped spot and exited the car before the assisting officer arrived, raising suspicion.
Upon questioning, the Charger's driver claimed that they had just purchased the Tahoe from a dealership and had all the necessary paperwork inside the vehicle. The officer, curious about the absence of a license plate and the presence of only a "test drive" paper plate on the Tahoe, probed further.
Meanwhile, the officer detected a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the Charger. The driver of the Charger denied having any drugs in the car but admitted to having a Draco pistol in the back seat. A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of identification cards and bank cards belonging to different individuals.
In the meantime, the Tahoe's driver made a call to Jim Ellis dealership. An employee came and tried to explain the "test drive" plate on the Tahoe. A K9 unit was summoned to inspect for drugs, and the dog alerted to the presence of drugs on the Tahoe's driver's side. A subsequent search revealed a firearm stashed in the center console, which the Tahoe's driver claimed belonged to his cousin.
With the situation now clear, the driver of the Tahoe received a ticket for reckless driving. However, the Charger's driver was arrested on serious charges, including financial transaction card theft, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and reckless driving.

Here is the problem with this whole case. The guy in the Tahoe was getting the car from his so called dad but the deal was not finalized. With that loop hole, they can drive the car off the lot and you wont see it again. They used someone else's ID to get the car and went ti someone who they knew at the dealship and slide him a few bucks for the deal while he still makes a commission off the car.

That car dealer guy at the end is full of it
Every single thing he said is 100% correct. The dad completed the financing paperwork, the car was legally purchased and now the son is driving it, dealerships don't immediately register vehicles in 30 minutes. It takes a day or two. So when the cops run it, so it shows the previous owners. There's a reason when you leave the dealership with a car, you have the purchase order that shows your name, the vin number and date. The guy driving drove off before they put on the drive out tag, which happens everyday. The dealership did nothing wrong in this situation.
Almost bought a car from the salesman thru my phone 😂😂 explained everything perfectly
The Sales Man In The End Is Hilariously The Best Liar Ever 😩😂😂😂
Everything he said was 100% correct. He explained it as clearly as he possibly could. It's obvious the majority of the people talking negatively about the dealership don't understand how buying a car at a dealership or on finance works.
The salesmen were way more shady than the dude with the gun, the stolen IDs, and the old gunshot wound if that makes any sense.
There dealerships
I know Chamblee PD has several open investigations that is developing into a RICO case, on that note there is a team of investigators lead by a no nonsense big Bertha black female sergeant who have been busting fraudsters using stolen ID's, Credit cards, fraudulent bank financial records and other false documents. They use runners to pick up these vehicles, many dealerships were getting ripped off from these thieves being aided by dirty sales representatives. Big Bertha and her team is amazing to watch them conduct field interrogations. Chamblee seems to be a magnet for criminals go to for auto thefts.
How is a gunshot wound shady 😂

Not the cops clowning them for having bad weed lol
This is unfortunate for the both drivers. Every bit of this started when the drivers ran the stop light, and why the guns? Jim Eliss did what is called a “spot delivery”. They put the customer in the vehicle before the financing was approved by the lender. That’s why the customer didn’t have a bill of sale. It puts the customer in jeopardy. It’s a sales tactic that is common at all car dealerships. It’s to prevent the customer from going to another dealership to buy a different vehicle. It’s a shady way of doing business. Charging the buyer documents fees is even a worst gimmick . A class action law suit should be filed against automotive dealerships and the manufacturers. These are crooks .
These cops just did an illegal search on camera after the other police officer warned them not to. Giving the whole case away.
