- On April 24, 2023 in Florida, officers were dispatched to Walmart in reference to a shoplifting in progress. Two suspects had exited the store with a cart full of unpurchased merchandise. By the time officers could arrive on scene, the suspects had loaded the merchandise into an older Infinity and fled. Minutes later, the vehicle was spotted by a motorcycle officer who was able to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle. Shortly thereafter, multiple officers arrived on scene. This is body-cam footage of the events that followed.

The subjects in these videos are to be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Walmart should have their own police department

Here In the UK police won't even attend if the theft amount doesn't meet a certain threshold. Theft goes unpunished 90% of the time it's a complete joke
it's not "a system".... every state, and even local jurisdictions have their own systems, there isn't one nation-wide "system"... I promise you, in some states and cities (like where I live), you will get arrested for this, and you will get prosecuted for this.
The failure of "the system" is that people don't realize what the system actually is - most people don't vote in small and local elections, a large number of people don't vote in congressional elections (only presidential elections). When you ignore local elections, ones where only about 20% of the voting population is voting, you can get someone who wins that does not represent anyones values. This is what is happening. Soft-on-crime progressive liberal DA's are getting elected (largely funded by George Soros backed financing), and then when cops do their jobs, it doesn't matter because the DA's turn them loose
The way to make a difference is to vote for all of the people running in every election, all the way down to the smallest ones, school boards and things like that. Definitely vote where you can for city councils, DA's, county judges, sheriffs - those are the people in office that are going to make more of a difference in the area where you live, far more than the congressional or presidential election outcomes

I hate when cops tell the criminals that if it’s a misdemeanor you might be released immediately. You could see the excitement in the woman’s eyes when he told her that. It may be true, but it almost feels like the officer is downplaying the severity of the crime to the criminal. You don’t need to try to comfort these thieves by telling them that they may not be going to jail. At least make them sweat for a minute.

This is sad. Went to Walmart this past week after not shopping there for 4 months and laundry detergent is locked in clear cases. Criminals are making it worse for us regular folks who do not steal to shop. I see why some cities closed down Walmarts and probably other stores. If these politicians/judges/federal govt don't get a handle on enforcing law, people will no longer want to go anywhere and shopping online will be our only option (if that... porch bandits). Make it make sense!
Sidenote: Good news, is there are communities like Dolton who took a stand against their mayor due to corruption and turning the law against their constitutes. It's a great example of Govt being for the people, by the people.
