      1 a lack of Talent. They just don't have the best minds working there.

    @senipain2785 Год назад +4

    I know this will likely seem completely illogical to you, but, I straight up refuse to buy an Optimus Prime that doesn't come with a Matrix of Leadership, and further, I always want the Energon Axe. They are 100% essential to me. Yes, even in chug. It's why I won't buy the ssbb Optimus or Siege Optimus.

    • @senipain2785
      @senipain2785 Год назад +4

      For the reason why:
      I (generally speaking) have a collection of one toy per character (or at least character design) and I want that figure to encompasses that character's totality.
      The matrix is one of the most important parts of transformers lore in every continuity it is cannon to, and the ability to store and remove it from his chest is a fun play factor for me.
      Then, regarding his axe: I don't care that it was only in the G1 cartoon for one episode. I care that it has been his primary melee weapon in fiction for the last nearly 40 years. You spend more time with the toys than you do the shows afterall

    • @PerspectiveEnd
      @PerspectiveEnd  Год назад

      Here's the one problem I have with that. Optimus isn't even the guy the Matrix is important to in G1.
      It's only ever brought up in the movie while he's dying. It's important to Hotrod, Ultra Magnus and Rodimus, but not OG Optimus.
      And you are missing out on two FANTASTIC Optimuses, because they aren't coming with an accessory we already have a MILLION of in the fandom.
      Also the Axe hasn't been his Primary Melee weapon ever since. It's on and off, but he didn't use it in G1 after episode 1, he didn't use it in RID 2001, he didn't use it in the UT, He didn't use it in prime, he Didn't use it in the movies. In fact in most of those he used a sword.
      He really only used it in the High Moon Games.

    • @senipain2785
      @senipain2785 Год назад +1

      @@PerspectiveEnd I 100% disagree with the claim it wasn't important to Optimus. Granted, you've said before that you didn't finish season 3 (which is fair tbh. Skylynix and Wheelie can go in a trash compactor), but he used it throughout his appearances there. In fact, every episode he was in in season 3&4 had him use the bloody thing. Also, again, outside the G1 show, the Matrix has been more important than his gun.
      By the way, that would also include the Transformers Marvel comic, where the Matrix was introduced first, and more important to Optimus then any other character though out the comic.
      As for the axe, you got roasted on the discord already so, I won't hammer on that lol

    Gonna be honest the nylon really isn’t a detractor for me, the matte finish really works for these models and I’ll gladly take feeling flexible over super noticeable panel lines and higher chance of breakage
    MS made the right call I think, especially for legends scale figures, their Shockwave not being great is kinda proof of that, since it uses ABS instead of the standard nylon.

    • @PerspectiveEnd
      @PerspectiveEnd  Год назад +1

      At legends scale this plastic can work, but in these quantities it just doesn't look good, especially the way it can scuff, I don't know why it didn't show up on camera at all, but in person there are long streaks of plastic that's been scuffed so it reflects differently than the rest of it.

    I know I commented on this several times, but I wanted to check back in with my report on the MS-02EX (2023 revision), as I just received it yesterday.
    First off and most glaringly, the box arrived looking like a fat man had stepped on it. I contacted MS and they're going to try working something out with their warehouse to send me another one, (they haven't asked for the one I have back yet, but I'm fully prepared to do so if they ask.
    Second, Many of his issues do really seem fixed. His feet don't feel super loose, his hipskirts aren't as much of a pain as the first run seemed to have, and the paint+die cast added to his feet seems to have worked. The Paint really improves the overall look of the figure, especially in the face. The matrix Chamber is painted better and the matrix itself is show accurate colors.
    The big con is some of the tolerances and transformation feels really tight now. the swivels on his upper biceps are incredibly tight, while some bits of the leg's transformation remain so tight the plastic developed a stress mark before even transforming. (the armature that allows the back tires to flip around). They also seemed to really fight snapping into place in truck mode correctly, as bits of the truck bed were interfering with the back left wheel rolling correctly. (I followed video tutorials to make sure it wasn't user error)
    Also in one odd case, the hip joint side split feels really rather loose now, to the point where if a leg does a side split, the weight of the leg will pull it back down.
    There also appear to be quite a few bits of "Gate remnant (remaining excess plastic from where the plastic was fed into the mold)
    All in all, the most glaring issues were fixed, although some bits of transformation are a bit finnicky, although I'm not sure how much of it is due to a very fat man sitting on my figure in transit. The additional paint really elevates the sculpt of the figure, the figure can balance far better, and the additional accessory of the jetpack was an unnecessary, but really cool inclusion.

    • @PerspectiveEnd
      @PerspectiveEnd  7 месяцев назад

      It feels good at a Smaller Scale. When it gets this big it feels really bad, because the flexibility that's a positive at a smaller scale is multiplied by the scale, so the figure feels insubstantial and bendy.

Loved it since the legends version was leaked, but I'm still holding out for a "premium" release, with paint that negates the translucent nature of the plastic (small hope if improved hands). I still disagree on your view of Optus Pexus, as it simply poses more naturally, with built up joints, but that's what happens when the alt mode they had to achieve was that basic, so apples and oranges.

    Still better then MP44
    Seriously 500$ for a MP optimus that chips paint and has a utterly confusing transformation like a Michael bay transformer
    And 500$ for all the accessories that are just too much
    And not to mention the mini figures that come apart so easily and are just ment for the door opening gimmick
    I'd say light of peace gets a W in many ways. It's cheap it has good articutlation and posing is great
    Also the unpainted weapons are not a big deal at all.
    I mean would you rather have MP44 and all its overly inflated priced weapons or something that won't make you go broke
    Plus the thing i love about it the most the back is clean and animation accurate too and is way better looking in his alt mode too then MP44
