2 Japanese guys try South Indian Food in Japan.
We both have visited South India.
And we love south Indian food, like parotha, dosa, fish masala and others.

South India is divided into central south (Andhra, Telangana and Karnataka) and far south (Tamilnadu and Kerala). All southern states use curry leaves and mustard seeds for tempering compared to cumin seeds used in North India.
Central south india uses tamarind and jaggery to flavour the curry whereas far south states use coconut paste and coconut milk in their curry.
Far south states also use coconut oil as cooking medium. In comparison, central south india uses groundnut oil and north india uses mustard oil.

So sorry to hear about what happened on your bus trip to Mahabalipuram. Don't worry this happens with us too!! It's not just the foreigners , maybe he forgot to tell you about the stop as he maybe busy in checking tickets.
As for North Indian and South Indian Food , the North Indian people eat more intense spicy food than South Indian people. It mainly contains chilli , and they add various types of masala. Also there is more use of coconut in South Indian dishes .( I have not heard about Chicken sambar as in India, mostly sambar is made of various vegetables, it is more like a Dal { kinda like curry } . I don't know if the restaurant has added it for Japanese taste. )
Yes Hampi is considered as south india, Goa is included in Western India. Hampi is in Karnataka while Goa is a different state. Goa , Maharashtra and Gujarat make up the western India while Tamilnadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are considered South India.
Amazing Video !! Keep going !! Love your work!! ❤️

Hello Jay and Hiro, really love your content and the videos you make❤️,Glad to hear that Hiro visited Mangalore, I am from Mangalore which is to the south of India and I used to live in Mumbai, it's not super north of India but I have experienced the difference in North and South Indian Foods, the Major Difference in South Indian Food is people use coconuts in most of the dish which gives the food a sweet and rich taste whereas in the North Indian Food people use Mustard Oil and more Diary Products which gives the food creamier and a heavy taste. Hope to see you both visit India once the Covid settles down (。>ω<)。, Love from India❤️

The next time you come to India make sure u visit Kerala. In Kerala you have to go to thattu kadaas at night time .. I bet you'll love those foods n keralites are more friendly so they would also give advice on what food u should try..
Also in India i guess u will have to spend 1month minimum in one city to kinda understand how the languages and food is different.

As a Singaporean living in Osaka, I've often craved for dosa, prata, and briyani (S. Indian food often found in Singapore). I've been to Nantala which is pretty good but now I have another option to try. Glad to find your channel!

a lot of south indian people dont eat non-veg side dishes with DOSA, a lot of south indian restaurant's dont serve them like that , they should correct that , please Japanese friends realize and experience what is genuine and what is made up
South indian custom is to serve TOMATO/COCONUT chutney which is a paste formed out of them , with SAMBAR
so what my youtuber friend just paid for isn't genuine
