It's taste like daal wada use to make dahi bhalla. It's taste good with idali sambhar and on top some coconut chutney. Break into small pieces (wada and idali) put into sambhar and eat with coconut chutney.

They have missed a lot of the main stuff. Sakkarai Pongal, Murukku, paruppu vadai, bajji, bonda, kadala mittai, pori, panjamirtham, adhurasam, laddu, halwa, thenga bun, nellu urundai. Except medhu Vada and fish fry, the rest are full blown meals (not snacks or what u typically get in streets), and/or not very authentic to Tamil Nadu.
Of all dishes Biryani looks most tasty. Medhu vada comes 2nd, but I would not eat them for breakfast. I prefer to enjoy vada during afternoon with tea. Egg mittai looks like a sure way to get diabetes, man that is a lot of sugar. Least favourite one has to be lamb brain gravy dosa.

I have spent 10 years in North and 15 years in South. To be true, North Indian food taste better and more variety than South Indian. South can't compare North Indian food. If you can't digest, don't afraid just visit North India and taste yummy North Indian food.
