      Thanks Ghost! 🙏 Appreciate the feedback! It’s very common I get questions on Logic Pro Automation tasks. And these quick key commands is what really made automation fast to work with, at least for me. Glad its helpful! 👌😄🥁

    Great! These shortcuts are the most helpful! As for volume automation, I never do that; I find it much more convenient to automate gain of a Gain plugin (in Logic) or of a Utility device (in Live). This way, you can adjust your mixing with the fader while keeping the volume automation curves intact.

    • @MattiasHolmgren
      @MattiasHolmgren  Год назад

      Yeah automation often goes to a utility plugin rather than volume fader. Its indeed much more conveniant. 👌 But the intention of the video is to show how general automation works in Logic Pro. Thanks! 😄☕️

    I really like the way you teach and explain things. It matches my learning style. Would you happen to have a video on busses and/or side chaining? And also a video specifically talking about creating different synth sounds, arp, lfo, etc. I’m new to music production and getting into melodic house!

      Hi, appreciate your kind feedback. Glad you like my teaching and video format. I do talk about synthesizing aspects in various videos. In my Logic Pro / Bitwig courses you learn the foundations. I would also suggest the new Ambient Music course which deals a ton with sound design.

    great video, but one question!
    I've been having a weird issue since I just updated to 10.7.9 from 10.6.3, where sometimes it seems to add volume fader automation that isn't visible, and just locks the fader in at a certain volume, and keeps snapping back if I try to change it. the only thing that visibly changes, is the "read" button becomes inverted making it more green, which looks to be an indication that automation is engaged. but no automation shows up anywhere and I am prevented from moving my fader unless I turn off the "read" button all together. anyone else have this issue?
    thanks man!

    • @MattiasHolmgren
      @MattiasHolmgren  10 месяцев назад

      If you create a new project does the automation behave the same way for you? I'm on 10.7.9 and had no issues with automation so far. When automation exist on a track it turns green (if enabled). If no automation exists its a grey box with green text.,

    Hello, is it possible in logic to automate and activate two functions, by pressing a single key from the keyboard?

    • @MattiasHolmgren
      @MattiasHolmgren  3 месяца назад +1

      What are you trying to achieve? In my experience if you assign different functions to the same key, Logic will complain about "replacing" the key command target.

      @@MattiasHolmgren Ok, thanks for telling me, in fact I want to do more or less this, but if I have to have problems with Logic
      , I prefer to leave everything as it is. Thank you :)

    Maybe stupid question, but can I use apple pencil with ipad and write automation like you do now?

    • @MattiasHolmgren
      @MattiasHolmgren  Год назад +1

      Yes if you use the pencil tool in Logic you can draw automation. I usually never do that because its way easier to make a sweet curve between two single points…than redraw 1999 points to correct / adjust an automation pass. 😅👌🥁☕️

    whenever i change anything about the track, even something as little as putting the track in solo mode for example, then the audio paremeter menu goes into solo mode (or whatever that recent change was). how can i change it back so that the parameter stays in volume mode?

    • @yungbuddha5455
      @yungbuddha5455 10 месяцев назад +1

      just figured it out. accidentally had "auto select automation parameter in read mode" checked. @@MattiasHolmgren
