Man I randomly just did a search tonite for "K-swapped civics" and stumbled upon it and was literally hypnotized through the entire video , some of the best racing and drivers that I've seen in a while . Really glad that there still are people working to keep the original honda scene alive , now they do it with K motors instead of B's but shit , stock K's holding down multiple passes pushing out well over 600whp , that demands respect from any gear head I don't care what kinda cars your into but that demands respect. Going stock is probably best. You can get plenty of power and it's easy to just swap an engine. Then just hook all the bolt-ons back on, done.

They're still a huge disappointment to the original and true Type R's which the last real one in my opinion died when the ended production of the JDM 8th gen civic type R. A 6800rpm redline and turbo charged motor in a chassis over 3000 pounds is so so so insanely far from what all previous real type R's genuinely were about. If fact in my opinion the last and newest Honda that Honda has produced rhst I will actually say I truelly like in all ways are the 8th gen civic Si's and Rsx type S's , everything made since they ended those two chassis has been garbage and so far away from hondas true roots and what they used to stand , I don't see them ever outting out a vehicle that could "feel and act like a real dohc VTec Honda" especially since they made a catastrophic partnership joining forces with possibly worst car manufacturer of the last few decades which of course is General Motors , I have no ides what rhe F the shot callers of Honda were thinking on that one.

Are you supposed to degree and check the valve to valve clearance when installing the pro1 cams? It looks like you guys just dropped the cams straight in.

The white car looks like if the lsd lets go on one of the wheels and it startes spinning the other wheel
That would also explain why it looked to be "torque steering" and just looking flat out untamed going down the track , car couldn't stay in a straight line, I'd be afraid to go past half throttle myself at those speeds with a car so wildly pulling back and forth down the track. I don't remember what car they were briefly talking about but I think it was someone looking at the white one your talking about with one of the wheels off and said something related to the snap ring that holds the wheel bearing into the knuckle was off and lying around the CV shaft and somehow thst caused the one axle or cv shaft to not spin , I don't get how thst coulf happen though becaude the axle literally goes into the splines of the hub which obviously is pressed into the bearing and kept in place with I think on K's a 36mm axle nut , so i dunno how a wheel bearing snap ring coming off couldve caused the axoe to not spin , unless somehow (and reaching with this one) the snap ring got caught up in between the mounting face of the outer hub side of the CV shaft in such a way that if locked the CV shaft to the inner side of the hub and bearing and/or the steering knuckle itself, cause he did say it wasn't spinning , which means it's broken , the diff is broken or it's literally seized. Hard to imagine a large wheel bearing retaining clip could get sucked into and mangled in the tight tight almost zero clearance between the outter face of the cv hub and the wheel bearing/hub and knuckle assembling that it got so badly chewed and jammed in there that it'd actually stop 600+whp driven cv joint from being able to spin , but who knows , in the 19 years I've worked in heavy collision, mechanical repair , and high end restorization and vehicle customization ,I've learned that I can always expect to see something happen or fail in a way I've never yet seen or could even imagine , but thats part of what makes it so much fun is every jobs a new experience, st lesst in the type of shops ive worked in for almost two decades.

I love what y'all are doing! But, what's the deal?... are we just pushing these stock blocks as far as we can until they blow up or are we actually making sustainable power here?
Based on the stock blocks theme I tend to get the idea these are just toys (the engines) for these guys , but regardless Honda B series and K series engines have both many decades ago proved they can be made to make the power these guys were pushing if built properly and maintain reliable and as you stated "sustainable power". These guys are simple not going there becsuse its cheaper to blow a motor and replace it than it is to build one that can do this and last a few years and dozens of passes.

That car is stripped and some stuff cut. I believe it's right around 2k lbs
I don’t like how every time one of the cars come up to make a pass this guy repeats himself (stock k24 makes 678 horsepower trying to break into the 9s)....... Like my dude we get it stop repeating it.
i think he does it because the cars go 20-30 plus mins between passes and he forgets that he stated the set up lol

Most likely just idle it until it reaches the operating temp for ecu
I wonder why nobody races the Honda N360 it weighs 1100lbs, you can trim it down to maybe 700 or 600 & with a stock k20 200hp it can make a 9 second pass.
spinning into 4th means it needs a weight plate bad to me lol that weight penalty on the white hatch wont hurt as much as traction would help
blue car doesn't have a weight plate at all and cuts 1.56 60' on bad prep.
