Great review. I received one earlier this week & have been trying to figure it all out. So far I love it, other than hitting the buttons on accident so often. I appreciate your written instructions!
Personally I like this one better because of the hilt design and the two button control. The v8 alpha has very similar features but not as much control and not as easy to spin But the v8 alpha is definitely a nicer hilt
I tell all companies that I review completely honestly. What I display here is what I experience. The downside may be that there is no freedom to alter sounds and full blade style control like proffie, xeno, or cfx. But for $140 this is a very good saber for stunt work and such
Nice review. I have the previous gen v8 saber. I would have really liked to see how this new gen handles blade color change. You kind of glossed over it, but I think it's a major upgrade from the previous gen, if it really does let you pick any color. On mine, I can only choose from like 9 colors. Which is nice, but far from the infinite color choices they're advertising on the new sabers. So are the blade colors really that much more customizable? I'm on the fence whether or not to pick up one of these new sabers.
The blade styles mostly have the infinite colour change abilities aside from the fancier blade styles like cross, infinite, rainbow and Christmas. But yes the infinite RGB is far better on this new saber than the previous one and the quick switch is equally nice, the only colour that kinda lacks is purple but every other colour works beautifully. If you’re big on quick easy control and colour options, it’s definitely worth picking up!
@@ZDVMedia Thanks for the clarification! It was really one of the only things that bugged me about the last V8 saber. I couldn't color match it with my other sabers. Yeah, I wouldn't expect the colors to work on the specialized styles. I see those as gimmicks mostly and not meant for the true SW Fans.

Thanks for the instructions as I bought this saber but no instructions in packaging your review has been very helpful thanks
Happy to help!
Great review! Just a question: how long is the blade without the hilt? Thanks.
Does it really have tip drag though? All other reviews say no.
Mine does, it can be a bit finicky to get going sometimes though.

Thanks for your review! How about SABNEO V8 PIXEL 2.0 ALPHA ? Is this one better?

really nice review but please dont put backgroundmusic i couldnt hear the saber sounds
Honestly that was more a mic issue, I don’t have a lav mic setup just yet so saber sounds don’t really get picked up very well
@@ZDVMedia oh ok thanks for answering! ill be getting one as well
$140 for a Neopixel saber with this many features? Aside from the sound chip there has to be a catch here because this sounds too good to be true

@ViveNate yea, the colour matching is much better on this one aside from purple which is more like magenta or pink in hue
You stated that the blade is polycarbonate but what is the hilt made from.
Thick Aluminum metal I believe but I’d have to look it up
You can raise the volume….
Yes you can raise the volume
Merci pour ta critique, est-ce qu’on à toujours la possibilité d’ajouter un coupleur pour faire un double sabre ?
Yes
@@ZeDigitalVacuum Merci de votre réponse 👌
Does this have the same features as the original v8
Yes, as well a few new blade styles and controls
@@ZDVMedia thanks for a reply
