    Just ordered a V8, had great experience with V7. My V7 had some problems with charging it a few months down the road, and Sabneo just sent me a new one. Big fan of the company.

    Personally I would've said the emitter was inspired by Rey's 2nd saber and the pommel inspired by OWK's Ep1 padawan saber. I just bought a Sabneo V8 pixel blade on it's own, the same day I ordered a Xenopixel V3 core from Padawan Outpost. The core turned up today, two days after ordering but I have to potentially wait another 2 weeks for the blade! That already has made me doubt my decision especially as both companies operated out of the UK. The only reason I bought it was because I saved £35 and to be fair the videos of the actual blade look good but I wouldn't buy a hilt. I'd agree with your assessment of this saber especially the company branding (why do they do that when we all know they're LGT parts and can be found from multiple other saber companies, although in their defense they're the only ones I've seen with THAT emitter which I rather like!)
    If that emitter become available on it's own I'm grabbing one (even though I don't like the character whos hilt it come from!) Fair review, good job!

    you can add some led weights in the pommel to make the end more heavy and change the balance point so you can spin it under the extruder instead of at the base of the blade. a touch of hot glue to hold them in place inside the bottom of the pommel (not blocking the speaker holes) and you're good to go

    I just got one and it actually is Amazing for its price most definitely. But how could they miss the option to change blade retraction/turnoff type. 🤔 🧐 they should release a firmware update.
    Edit: they also updated the box, now it is a lift top box and with a plastic insert rather than foam

    Great honest review of this saber. I own both v7 and v8, v7 was much better made in my opinion.

      The hilt was better for sure
      I do like the electronics of the v8 better cuz I like neopixels a lot but that’s my personal preference

    Glad they reached out to you as I am having issues with getting some replacement parts for 2 of my sabers. Been over a week since they said I will have a tracking number, not the best if I encounter a problem in 5 days of having it. Sadly bad product if I cannot use it.

      @@ZDVMedia For sure man many times they are really good for what it’s worth but the customer service and getting my warranty squared away is not helpful I even bought an extra warranty to on top of the manufacturing warranty.

    Hey Solstice, any idea how one might go about replacing that sn pixel board with maybe golden or proffie?

      Well, I haven’t personally taken apart the saber to see the core
      But if it is a removable core you could buy a golden harvest or proffie saber core and install it like that as usually LGT sabers have similar core styles. If not, there are many saber communities on Facebook that teach and help with replacing, re-wiring and installing boards.

      That’s strange?
      What steps are you using to activate the drag effect?

      It could be the blade style you’re using or maybe the soundfont
      Try switching those two and see if you can get it to work

      Hi did you get the drag effect to work? Apparently it only works on 36 inch neo pixel blades which mine isn't. It makes the drag effect noise but no light effect on the tip

      Oh, that’s interesting actually. So, the first thing I recommend is turning the flash-on-clash feature on or off and testing it. if that doesn’t work, then you may be into something, I’ll talk with the company about it cuz it may be a board programming issue where the blade length is set wrong so it’s trying to use the 36 instead of 32 on some sabers. Thank you for bringing that up!

      @@ZDVMedia yeah I saw something on a reditt thread about it..if you hear back from sabneo about the problem please could you post your findings. I'm going to email them as it's a feature I'd really like working. Other than that it's a great value neo pixel saber.

    I can’t figure out how to change the blade color. Seems to be stuck on the flashy rainbow stuff. Just want blue or green. Very frustrating…

      In that case you might’ve switched the blade style. In order to switch between blade styles, while the saber is off, press and hold the bottom button for one second, then release, you’ll hear it say a brief description of the next style
      Then to change the colour while the saber style is on stable
      Turn on the saber
      Point down, hold the bottom button, and twist fast

      That’s definitely odd
      That sounds like a power supply issue
      Or it’s not properly charged
      If it is charged
      Contact the company for a replacement

      It could also be that the blade was not screwed in properly
      When screwing in the blade make sure to apply a bit of pressure to ensure it stays in place

      @@ZDVMedia I did finally get the colors to change. Had to hold down, press top button for a second until I heard “SabNeo V8”, then it shuts off. While off, I just fast press the bottom buttons to cycle through various color options. Blade still won’t stay on though, will try charging it some more and reinstalling the blade. Thank you, I’ll keep working at it…

      Be sure to charge it for a couple hours before attempting to turn it on, if it doesn’t turn on after that, contact the company for a replacement under warranty
