    Resington could plug his guitar into a bowl of chowder and get a good metal tone out of it.

    Glad to have a chance to help out your channel and give a little back with something I was definitely going to buy anyway. The added discount through your link was a welcome surprise. I have gotten so much from this channel over the years and I'm grateful for every bit of it. Thanks for everything you do and keep rockin'.

    That's what I'm talking about! This woke me up faster than my coffee, so thanks for that! Ludicrous chugs, your demo slams like crazy. They all slam like crazy, that's why I'm here! 😂I really like that graphic EQ, and it should dial in just about anything you require. Sounds great if you ask me! Thanks for the rundown! 👑🎸🔥

    WTF they made a plugin version of a KSR Ceres??!! I have to compare it with mine!
    One thing i have noticed with the Ceres is that it really comes to life with a proper power amp simulation from Amphub or the Guptech PdeQ pedal. Like you demonstrated with the EQ, with Presence and Depth added to it, just makes it chug a whole lot more!
    I also love that it doesn't need a boost pedal at all to sound great in the drop A territory!
    For what the switches do, this is from KSR's website:
    "Bright:
    Up = On, Down = Off. The switch works just like a typical Gain pot bright capacitor in that the lower the Gain setting, the more the effect.
    Feel:
    Up = Fat, Center = Tight, Down = Thick
    Mode:
    Up = Ares Crunch, Center = Artemis/Gemini Red Mode, Down = Colossus Lead"

      @@gazjo85 the plugin here doesn't sound too close to the tone i dial in with the Ceres. i think the actual pedal sounds a little less dirty.
      The distortion on it is nicely saturated, especially on the Fat and Thick feel. The Tight setting is great for djenty tones or just ridiculously low tunings

    Yes! Holy heck! AuroraDSP is so spot on! I've tried it for an hour now and it's so good! That quick, dense and roaring distortion is just....sex! :) Played through the presets and then purchased through your affiliate link, gotta have it! :) Thanks for bringing us the news on all this great stuff!

      Bought the $10 iOS app. Had a great SLO sound before the presets completed downloading. Bit laggy/scratchy/poppy on my 2016 iPad Pro but not an issue if I don't futz with the controls while playing. This is a great app for iOS AND it runs on MacOS as well. Thank You for this demo. Was very informative and useful! Best Regards and Best Wishes!

    Hey Resington! I'm curious. Do you have a setup that you think is the best sound you've ever achieved with software? So plugins, IRs are fair game, paid or free, what do you think is the best in-the-box sound you've ever gotten?

      Yet affordable. I have that same Taranov amp sim, the Megafuzzie. Got quite a few of his plugs, paid and free. His stuff is amazing, and some of his free stuff can be just as good as some of his paid stuff.

    Random question but have been meaning to ask lol: With your usual master chain that you run, do you normally leave the mastering track with all of its FX armed while you record? Or do you only turn it on once you're done tracking? Noob question but just wondered.

    This the most stupid plugin design I ever seen.
    Overdrive->Preamp->Pedal->Delay->Cab->EQ in 3 sections. No content at all.
    EQ on the end as separated section is just like „let’s put something on end, let’s sell this as extra feature” but we all know that EQ is in every daw nowadays, so this can be useful for standalone only.
    We have overdrive on beginning. Literally one overdrive, as pre EQ probably. Delay is nice to have. So it’s just preamp and cab sim.
    Aurora DSP is headless rider - it looks like they don’t have any strategy or plans, products are developed randomly, no consistency in gui, in product series. Sad but true.

    • @resington

      Totally fair points. Thanks for watching.

    • @PippPriss
      @PippPriss 3 месяца назад +3

      You have fair points, but I would still like to contest them/bring a different perspective.
      I think it's important to note that this plugin is meant to be a teaser for an upcoming suite, with loads of distortion,overdrive and preamp plugins, which I think is a cool idea. And using resingtons discount code, the price is 16€ - totally fair, if you compare it to the competition.
      Also, I think the fact that they switch up GUIs quite often is rather a testament that they are trying new stuff every now and then. Also, Mammoth, Rhino and Gorilla are pretty "in line", GUI-wise. This rather goes hand in hand with their "AURORA DSP CRAFT SERIES", where they try to replicate real gear.
      Also, the KSR Ceres is a sought-after, but not so often modelled plugin, so I am very happy they made this product.
      And: adding the EQ for standalone is not only a selling point, but actually a proper standard by now. Every company sleeping on this is, in my opinion, lazy-ing out.

    • @chrishall5176
      @chrishall5176 2 месяца назад +1

      My question is why fix something in the Daw after the fact when you can get it right inside the plugin at the start?

    • @WilhelmUnterharnscheidt
      @WilhelmUnterharnscheidt 2 месяца назад

      @@chrishall5176 Maybe because some people prefer to use the equalizer they are used to?
      I do not believe that the eq from Aurora is better than FabFilter, change my mind.
      And if it is I am waiting for a separate product.

      Look man. Less is more. For someone like me that doesn't futz around tweaking endlessly. I want a tone. I want the ability to save multiple tones. I want a simple interface. I don't need/want 80 amps, 200 FX, 7000 IR's. I'm a simpleton and stoopid so this works for me. AND I am totally Standalone either via iPad or Macbook with Focusrite. I hear ya, but why thread crap here on this doods work. Don't like it? Don't use/buy it. But why come here to bitch/vent? Otherwise, I hope you have a fantastic rest of year, make some hell gnarly sounds play it like ya stole it! Best Regards and Best Wishes!
