    Splitters are one of the simplest mods that completely change the look of the front end. Looks great mate. Look forward to whats to come! (Spoiler extension would be a good shout)

      Glad to hear it Mark, cheers. The front splitter is the V4, I think it’s the most subtle out the bunch! 👍

    I have the same model year i think its to much what iv been wondering about is if i should lower it 40/40

    • @tubedarren
      @tubedarren  Год назад

      Hmm I think the ride height on these are pretty good to begin with, but I suppose it all depends on your kind of driving and distance etc. I use mine as daily and do a lot of miles on varied terrain, so comfort and ride height is important to me. I lowered a polo 6r GTI by 40mm back in 2012 and it ruined it lol

    Dont understand whz did zou improvise ???
    More easy and prpore way is remove front bumper and put proper quality bolts with secure nuts

    Can't get to my nuts, thinking of doing the same method as you.
    Can you tell me how it's held up after 10 months, also at speed on motorway.

    Quite like it but the fact maxton can't be arsed to give you better fixings then it's probably a no from me!

    1 weird thing is. You buy a VRS combi? Like a sporty car which looks like a funeral car transporting ciffins. I just dont get it :-D

    Do you know know why I chose 190hp 4x4 Octavia 2023 over Octavia RS?
    Box modded to 230hp with 4x4 suits me better. 0-100 in 5.9s and I don’t have to worry about wheels spinning till 3rd gear like they do with RS version. If you want “look” pick RS, but if you care more about driving experience take 4x4 TSI one.

      Well not true about the driving experience. The 2.0 TSI in vRS is a different/better engine. You can tune it to 350 hp by just a tune. Or even more with a turbo kit. 190hp TSI is a different engine and is not capable of doing this. Also the vRS TSI has a limited slip dif (VAQ), yours doesn’t. vRS has a sporty chassis, steering and brakes, yours doesn’t. And it makes a huge difference. Also the new Challenge Plus RS edition has got a sporty exhaust. Sure 4x4 is better (still only haldex and not permanent Quattro like on Audis). But that’s the only advantage. While vRS has like 4 or 5 over 2.0 TSI 190hp (not talking about the design). If you want something sportier than TSI vRS buy Golf R or Cupra, not 190hp Octavia lol.

      I chose RS over Sportline 4x4 cause with the same price the factory RS has about 4000-5000euros worth more extras on it. I mean with snow and stuff the 4x4 would have been nice but when the snow melts then im sure that the 180kw FWD with electronic LSD beats the 140kw 4x4 corner handling and acceleration by far.
