I own a 2011 Chevrolet Spark bifuel 1.0 liter with only 65 hp. I bought that car new with 0.0 kilometers on the clock and still drive it and it has 185.000 kilometers on the clock now. Still running strong and never had issues with the car. It is the best car I have ever owned. Sadly Chevrolet does not sell the Spark anymore in the Netherlands. If I need a new car I really want a new Spark because it is a solid car. Have owned Japanese and a lot of European cars, but the Spark is the car I want. I hope that Chevrolet reconsider their decission and start selling them again in my country because there is a market for small cars in my country. Nice car btw.

Thomas Burick oh beyond. Raise hand on my $10k Spark for 3 years now without a single cent on anything mechanical. Only thing I spent money on is 2 oil changes and a left wiper blade (right one is still stock and working fine).
I hate the stock tires but they don’t want to die. I’m almost 40k miles on it and can’t wait to see if the road noise and bumps significantly improve with much higher grade tires. Don’t see why this car won’t keep going for 10+ years.

well he did mention some of the drawbacks about the acceleration at about 2:00 so it's not all sunny rainbows....and the other side of the coin is all these snooty car websites which call this a "cheap" car. It's really not bad for what it is and the base trim is great because it's very simple and not a gadget basket which is unusual for a newer car

This car is a great option as long as you get the MANUAL version. Ditch the unreliable CVT and this goes for the majority of cars out there. You´ll save a lot of money going for a manual but unfortunately the average american is TOO DAMN lazy to do it.

I have a 2017 LS. I love it. 32 mpg combined. Car hums at 90 on the interstate. The CVT is trash. First gear is pure mechanical engineering retardation. It sells the car short. No pun intended. The Kuomo tires are trash too. Two vendor debacles and the car is still amazing. My tires were dry rotted at 9k. A turbo would've made this car a straight killer. I'm looking at a 2022 LT Special edition. This car is fun.

Not really. Theres never been a recorded case of transmission failure in recent sparks, that iv seen (iv been doing a shitload of research cuz i dont wanna buy a shit car thats gonna die) as long as you properly maintain your vehicle. I think since its such a lightweight car it just doesn't wear as much. But thats just a guess and research from an 18 year old girl lol. Everyone who's in this comment section who says they have a spark hasn't mentioned anything about transmission issues. Just saying there's no need to be so negative ❤
