I worked with her years back in another Thai restaurant and she definitely worked her way up to learn everything about the business. This took many hours, days and years for her while also studying at the same time. She never gave up, was always dedicated to her family and I was glad to visit the first location when it was in Queens. I no longer live in New York, working overseas now but if I do return. I'd definitely make an effort to visit the other locations. Glad to see her story finally here. Good work Ploy!!! 😌👌🏽💕
@ Danny P Chauca.. My eyes burst into tears after finished the reading..oh ! what a feeling you've put into your comments.. sorry for me to continue crying..😢😰😢😰
This is inspiring. We must protect family restaurants such as this one. Stop making your routine to go to fast food restaurants when you’re hungry, instead help out a local business and get an amazing meal!!🧡
Asians are very family oriented I have noticed. Every Asian American I met when they introduce me to their families they all have such a tight knit bond with one another from parents, siblings, uncles and aunts. And also my favorite Thai cuisine is Isaan North East Thai. Love Som Tum with sticky rice and steamed or fried fish and a platter of mixed vegetables 👌
I used to live across the street from LOOK and would go all the time. They're the nicest people, and the pork blood noodle soup is incredible. It's the closest thing to the boat noodle soups I got when I was in Thailand. Everything on their menu is great too....the isaan sausage, this fried mackerel with sides. Glad to see they're getting this coverage.
I salute you guys I'm a south Bronx new York native and my mother was a single mother raised me my brother and my sister. Never give up and stick to your family because family is everything
It’s great to see how friends and family help one another in life together , especially family members who have the heart and the soul and love for each other to work together as a team, to put out the best food
There was a mother, daughter, and brother combo that ran a Thai food truck in my area. I miss the truck, they opened my eyes to trusting a chef. It’s been the only place I could always say the special and it was new and I loved it.
Best content on RUclips man! Keep the episodes coming, we need this love during the pandemic. Much love to these people and I have more appreciation for Thai culture and their cuisine.
Such a great story , I love it. I need to get to Brooklyn when we fully open back up soon. This food looks so yummy!!!!! And I know it's made out of love. Mama love there I salute her for working so hard while taking care of her family to get what she wanted. !
As a Thai food eating white American, it is amazing to me how we decided pad Thai would be the dish we American-ize and expect at every Thai food spot... how do we not choose the most delicious curries instead!!!
Thing is actually the Thai King back then kind of created Pad Thai as a national dish but having in mind making it famous and catered to tourists and foreigners so I'm not really mad if they expect Pad Thai..just don't be surprised if authentic restaurants like them don't do it because in reality like in a lot of cuisines we don't eat it at home lol
@@threvorpaul it was actually Phibun in one of the original military juntas that modernized Thailand and picked Pad Thai. Truthfully Pad Kra Pow is more the true National dish of Thailand. Everybody eats it!
Wow annoying basic Karens and Kens really be like "how can this be a Thai restaurant without Pad Thai". Go to your Americanized McThai food places then... Nonetheless glad this family found their own dish which works.
Pad Thai is a modern invention by Marshall Plaek, then prime minister, during WW2 along with other policies and inventions. It was created to build a new kind of noodle dish that has a nationalistic Thai identity, as opposed to most noodle dishes which were Chinese. It worked and has since become the face of Thai cuisine.
Awesome story. Whish I could come all the way from TX just to try the food. Looks really delicious and made with love and pride in where you come from.
An incredibly successful family, so precious! :) You deserve so much happiness and success in this world as a result of your very hard work, well done. So proud of you all as excellent examples of lovely people making the world a better place, thank you! :)
The soup in the thumbnail is a chili soup with pork, prawns, and quail eggs. I was hoping they'd show how they make it because it's the best food I've ever eaten. But it seems like the secret ingredient is shady mama Manadsanan's love!!
Joe/ is the best such a wonderful humble young man. Love there food from Monday off, great food all the time. Now I know why you guys are closed on Mondays.
I am Thai, it is very true that Thai people don't eat pad thai often at all. My friends and I all think that Pad Thai is very overrated. I mean like we get it that it's good but it's not that good. There are many more dishes that are wayyy more flavorful than Pad Thai.
