  • The Devinci E-Milano is a high quality hybrid electric bike with basic suspension fork that's well suited to neighborhood and city riding. Tall efficient wheels lower the attack angle and medium volume 700x50c tires provide some added stability and comfort. Excellent weight distribution with the motor and battery low and center, standard 68mm Q-Factor and overall light weight of just 47.3lbs for the medium frame. Two sizes, approachable mid-step frame, classy silver color appeals to all. Hydraulic disc brakes with adjustable reach levers are easier to reach and actuate. Standard 160mm brake rotors won't get bumped and bent easily at bike racks. Quick release wheels and seat clamp make the bike easy to transport, service, and adjust. Extremely quiet motor offers 40nm of torque and is paired with a minimalist 418wh battery pack that's easy to remove. Basic ABUS key cannot be keyed alike. No compression or lockout on the suspension fork, just preload adjust. No kickstand is included, but it does have a 40mm mounting point, the tires are not reflective or puncture resistant. Only available in Canada.

Quick update! I was told that the bike will be available in two frame sizes: Small is 40cm and Medium is 45cm. I communicated five sizes in the video based on previous information. The bike I'm riding is size Medium, I'm 5'9" (175cm) and weigh 135lbs (61kg).

Great video. Nice to see a report from a Canadian (Québec) company. Too bad they don’t sell it in the US.

A guy in my building owns a Devinci (not this model) and rants and raves about it - he loves it.

I really like the clean, minimalist look to it. It doesn't look like an ebike at a quick glance.

Yeah, I agree with you! It’s very clean and almost “regular” looking, which is great. Even though the battery is external, it’s done well and super easy to reach for charging or removal. I actually really like this bike :)

Sure thing! It was my first time working with them, but I've always admired the brand for being authentic, uniquely French Canadian in heritage, and offering such a wide range of quality products... it's an impressive company, thanks again Charlieroy!

I really don't get why bikes in general don't have reflectors front and back in 2022. Safety is very important.

It’s so awesome that you mention this! I got this bike after a demo event and it was kind of dirty and all the reflectors were taken off. I put the wheel reflectors back on, even though the little centerpiece was missing and they weren’t fully attached. They were front and rear reflectors designed to go on the handlebars and seat post, but the screws needed to tighten them were missing… I care a lot about safety too, thanks again for your comment!

I watched this review after watching the Propella review, and you know, for the money, I'd buy the Propella before this one. Very hard to understand why a bike that costs $2717US has the same limitations as the Propella (no lights/fenders, small motor and battery). I suppose you're paying for the mid-drive motor, but the use cases seem very similar. This bike makes the Propella seem like a bargain!. And the Propella has a kickstand! HAHAHA.

Hah- Did you show us the wikipedia entry for Milan in case we didn't believe you that it was a city?
