One of the most talented bands to come from the 80s metal scene, Cinderella was a fantastic band. Burch chose Don't know what you got till it's gone as the introduction song because of the songs wide appeal and as it turned out Alexis really liked it. She said she is going to add it to her playlist.

Speaking of "hair bands" of the 80s that produced solid blues based rock, you should break out the best of the bunch. Great White. Mark Kendall was (imo) a better guitarist and Jack Russell a much better vocalist. The official videos of Rock Me and the full version of House Of Broken Love are pinnacle examples of this on display... especially HOBL.

"Bad Seamstress Blues / Fallin' Apart At The Seams" is one of my favorites
In concert they would do the classic guitar hero poses playing then suddenly spin the guitars 360 degrees around their body in synch by throwing/spinning them on the straps, so badass.
I have seen all the greats and loads of the almosts and Cinderella was top-shelf showmanship like Alice Cooper, Kiss, Van Halen, AC/DC, and Mötley Crüe . . .

A lot of bands I think we kind of took for granted and didn’t realize the talent and greatness that we were witnessing in real time. Looking back has made me appreciate the great bands of that time even more today. I’ve loved music all of my life but there’s something special about the music from about 1980 - 1995. They were pure talent and many were classically trained. Some of my favorite songs and bands never made it big. There’s something about a band’s struggle and hardships to “make it” that produces their best music. For every big moment or event that’s happened in my life there’s usually a song attached to it. 🤘🏻🎸🎤🤘🏻

Saw Cinderella open for BonJovi in '87. I was 20 doing the cover band thang around town with some originals and working at "the" pro music shop in El Paso. The shop was invited as guests, and we met both bands before the show. All the guys from Cinderella signed a Kramer guitar that we later sold at the shop. Jeff was a Kramer endorser. He is playing a Kramer guitar in the vid. Both bands were badass. 🤘

BURRRRCH ... awesome song. I've met Tom several times here in Baltimore when he's played here over the years. He's a great guy and extremely humble. Thanks for having Alexis check these guys out.
Edit: Can confirm, his speaking voice is NOTHING like his singing voice. I feel that he strained his vocal chords to get that high pitched rasp sound which contributed to his vocal paralysis later in life. A ton of vocalists did things like this to get to a higher pitch than they normally could because in those days, having a high pitch singer was equal to having a lead guitarist that could play 1,000 notes in a 12 bar frame. It was all about one upping the next band. Sad but true. You can thank EVH for the guitar competition and guys like Tate, Dickinson, Halford, and Dio for the Vocal competition.

I have been a fan of Cinderella since 1991. I actually bought the first three albums all on the same day from two different shops that faced each other on my local high street. I had never heard the band before, but at that point I was pretty much buying anything hair metal that I could lay my hands on. Loved all three albums, and shortly after I picked up the 7" picture disc of the single, Heartbreak station.
It took until 2011 for me to finally get to see them live when they did a one off show in London, England.
So glad I got that chance as the band fell apart after that, and sadly it was mostly down to Jeff and his issues. I remember an interview with Jeff and he always regretted the band would never work together again because nobody wanted to work with him anymore.
Sadly when Jeff passed away I was totally unaware (same with Johnny Solinger) as I was hospitalised at the time for three whole months and my brain was kinda messed up. Months later when I was out I randomly found out about both Jeff and Johnny and was stunned. It's just a shame that Jeff and the band never made up. Don't know what you go til its gone is very apt for their relationship.

Cinderella/Dokken/Poison/Doo….love it all….but, and I hope Alexis knows the song, “For You”, by Keith Urban……is one AMAZING country song! As a Veteran, it strikes a nerve, with me….and is just amazing! Been a fan, from the early days, and I LOVE you guys. I admire you, and what you’ve made. 👍🇺🇸❤️

Great guys and the show was awesome, i still remember clearly some moments of that show like when they did Night Songs, the backdrop was so beautiful.

I attended the Cinderella/White Lion/Tangier concert at the CNE Grandstand in Toronto on Aug 24/89 on their Long Cold Winter tour. Way back when concerts were actually affordable it was a great triple bill even though I never knew anything about Tangier at age 16. Back in the day Q107 in Toronto had a late Friday night program called The Power Factory which was dedicated to hard rock/Heavy Metal, they ran a concert to win tickets and I used my brothers name as you had to be 19 here in Canada to win.. What I won were front row center tickets. One of more memorable concerts.

My 2nd favorite band, hope this sends more down a Cinderella rabbit hole, they made great videos. Also, Bon Jovi was a big reason they got signed so you see him show up in a video. And Tom is touring right now.

Just a suggestion for the band Lynch Mob. My friend was the lead singer Oni Logan on Wicked Sensation. He was in my good friends band back in the 80s in South Florida he eventually went out west and the band dissolved a few years later.

I got to see them LIVE when they toured with Def Leppard , Slaughter, Reo Speedwagon and Styx. I knew of Cinderella but when I saw them they were a laid back group like watching blues concert with the lighting like you were in a lounge setting and they sang all there classics from the 80's and then some others great show by all that took the stage that night.

This song brings back so many memories. Me and my friend would rewind this song ( on cassette) in the car and listen over and over on the way to school

I got the chance to hangout and party with the band. Tom Keifer has a very normal deep speaking voice. They were all very down to earth guys. Put on one hell of a show. I'm serious! One of the best concerts that I've ever been to. When it comes to experiencing a studio quality performance live. I've seen lots of Metal bands live in my time. And, no kidding! My top three are... AC/DC, Van Hagar, Cinderella. In that order. Of course this concert was before Tom blew out his voice. He sounded exactly like he did on the albums.

Cinderella was such an underrated band, their album long cold winter was so good, their blues influence could really be heard. The hair metal era will never get the respect that was due and this band especially deserves that recognition.

    Holy Jeezus
This takes me back to my 20's when this came out, right after my divorce. MTv was a real music tv station and I was starting a new band while living in the Denver Co. area.
Despite the divorce.....it was some great times mid to late 80's. And no.....I did not miss the ex like this song talks about....it was all the music then. An awesome decade to be in your young adulthood.
