I do hope you reconsider on Hail To The Thief, the album is literally a pain to hear sometimes and I think that’s the point. I’ll always respect your opinions tho, great video!
Love seeing this. It would be amazing to see you do the same thing with Aphex twin. Especially since you rated kid a so highly, and Aphex twin is laregely the reason why Radiohead went in that direction. Aphex twin is arguably the most creative and unique artist across any genre of music. Anyone that wants to hear unique music needs to give it a go.
Wow Pablo Honey In B? I’m glad to see someone not tear this album to shreds. Hail To The Thief, however, is saddening with its placement. I can still see why you ranked each album though. Cool vid. 👍🏼 My tier list: S: OK Computer, The Bends, In Rainbows A: Kid A, Hail To The Thief B: Pablo Honey, A Moon Shaped Pool C: Amnesiac, The King Of Limbs
This is great and funny to see the immediate reaction to Kid A after OK Computer I remember the reaction back in 2000, the howling from the music press expecting OK Computer 2. It reminded me of a story about the music execs sitting in the room with Prince when he delivered Around The World In A Day after the enormous success of Purple Rain album and film and the words “the blood just drained right from their faces”
Holy shit what a cool ranking video! Such high quality and you offered some really open minded and insightful opinions as someone who had never listened to them before. ❤️
Yo Zeniyuh. Love your vibes man. I’m a longtime Radiohead, um, head, but pretty much agree with what you’ve done here, so respect for that. Gotta say though, what hooked me in was your editing style and sense of humour. Top notch my dude. Subscribed 🎉
Now that you're a fan of Radiohead, check out their B-sides and rarities. In particular, there's In Rainbows Disk 2, which was recorded during the In Rainbows sessions and has some great music on it that didn't quite fit onto the album. And there's also the OKNOTOK album which is OK Computer with a bunch more songs, including favorites they used to perform live but never put on a studio album until the OKNOTOK release.
Love radiohead myself and really enjoyed the video man You should listen to Fontaines DC’s albums, they have a new album called ‘Romance’ coming out on 23rd August, their sound has a decent bit of range across their discography, especially with their new singles for this upcoming album they’ve switched it up massively. Id strongly recommend them for another video
Man I wish I could listen to all of these again for the first time! I think the hottest take was Amnesiac and TKOL on the same level as OK and In Rainbows! Love how you made it your own.
Really enjoyed your video. If you are interested in learning more about In Rainbows and how it was made, you should check out the Dissect Podcast. They made a whole season about In Rainbows, song by song. Listening to it gave me a whole new love for the album and Radiohead in general.
It’s refreshing to see someone from outside the fandom take a step inside, it’s annoying to hear the same things all the time, especially in regards to Pablo Honey and TKOL. Even if I don’t like Pablo that much myself, it’s refreshing to hear someone talk positive about it. I would also recommend checking out the live album “I might be wrong”. It’s honestly a great live album with great versions of like spinning plates and True love waits Edit. After a few relistens, Pablo Honey has grown on me. It's no longer an album I don't like much, but an album I enjoy.
Thanks for the comment! It’s what I was trying to aim for because I didnt want any bias to influence my opinion. Also off camera i checked out I might be wrong love it!!
And now you are ready to listen to "in Rainbows" and "king of limbs" in the "from the basement" recording sessions here on YT. That is another interpretation of especially "king of limbs" that will blow your mind
I love seeing people experience amazing music like this for the first time. Radiohead is a lot of people's introduction into more unique types of music. Way different than Radiohead, but the band Swans has a very diverse catalogue and it would be amazing yo see you do this with them. Swans is my favourite band and I love seeing people experience their music ❤️
I’ve always heard good things about Swans lowkey been abit intimidated because some of the albums are so long but I’ve got the bug to try more stuff outside my comfort zone so I will do them!
@@zeniyuhh thank you for replying! yeah a lot of people are intimidated by Swans long albums but there's never a dull moment. I loved your video too dude, you've earned a subscriber!
You should do Pink floyd or Aphex twin next (Ik Aphex twin is random but with Kid A and Amnesiac Radiohead said it inspired them and you put those at the top)
I really love that you go into some of these discographies without reading too much up on what people think before hand! It’s nice to just have someone tell their own opinion straight up! Also you can put as many albums into any tiers you like imo! My ranking would be S: 1. In Rainbows 2. Kid A 3. OK Computer A: 4. A Moon Shaped Pool 5. The Bends 6. Hail to the Thief B: 7. Amnesiac 8. Pablo Honey Haven’t listened to King of the Limbs enough to really have an opinion on it tbh. Btw I would love to see you rank System of a Down’s discog next 🔥
It's funny that you said that Amnesiac was a step up from Kid A cause they were both recorded at the same time. Radiohead made so many songs that they had to split them into two albums. Just to give you some idea of how many songs they composed, when Kid A first come out, there was a booklet hidden literally inside the case. It had lyrics to some songs from Kid A, Amnesiac and even Hail To The Thief
I know it's too early for this but I would love if down the road you would consider doing a, "Listening to EVERY Jpegmafia Album" video where you also include some of his early albums from his artist name 'Devon Hendryx'. I cry pretty much every single time I put A Moon Shaped Pool on. Such a delicate, lovely album experience. Absolutely mesmerizing listen. Great to see some more people glazing that shit as much as I do, my love for it feels a bit more justified now lol
They could probably fill another 3 albums with really good non-album tracks. they're so particular with the album sequencing and overall emotional state, that they ended up leaving a lot of worthy songs off their albums. In all the years iv'e been an avid fan of music iv'e never seen a band that has so many good tunes that are not on any albums. If you ever want to dig into their singles and b-sides just let me know. There's a fair amount of off the wall stuff that's cool too, the songs from Kid A and Amnesiac come to mind (I love the Amnesiac b-sides).
The cultural shift on In Rainbows has been insane to watch. It is my personal favorite due to the extreme praise Kid A and OK Computer received in the 2000s. It was so overwhelming that In Rainbows felt like a nice underdog album in comparison. Now the pendulum has swung the other way.
I LOVE RADIOHEAD WAY TOO MUCH!!! For next vid I would def recommend Have a Nice LIfe. Especially the album Deathconciusness. There as experimental as Radiohead and they are VERY VERY VERY loved by alot of people.
you got a lot of the messages of the albums correct, ok computer is about the commercialisation of our society, and kid a is indeed about global warming and apocalypse, since the leader thom yorke was extremely paranoid of global warming and melting ice caps back then. radiohead actually became the first carbon neutral band in the world, back in 2002
Thank you for venturing into other genres. I already recommended you two massive electronic artists, Daft Punk and Aphex twin. But i also want to recommend the metal band, System of a down. to me they are the perfect combination of experimentation and pop sncsebility in Metal music.their 5 albums are all legendary and top tier and i hope you check them soon. I also wanted to recommend Metallica. They honestly need no introduction and i hope you check out them both.
"Hail to the Thief is my least favorite." Me - :( "Moon Shaped Pool is S tier" Me: - :)))) Fwiw, Hail to the Thief is pretty regularly dragged as one of their worst. I love how spontaneous and stripped back it is though. They banged it out in one studio session and it definitely shows. Kid A vs OK Computer has historically been the "which is their best" battle between fans. I used to be firmly in the Kid A camp (and still kind of am I think) but OK Computer has *really* warmed up to me over the past few years. In Rainbows is the one with widespread appeal that is also just objectively a banger.
Radiohead did not put out a bad album. Radiohead fans don't suggest single songs. They suggest entire albums. Because the albums are full of bangers. My ranking is 1. Ok Computer 2. In Rainbows The rest depend on my mood. Stanley Donwood worked with Thom to create all the album covers. It was fun to watch you discover this fantastic band.
Amnesiac to me has always felt like a long train ride, constantly hopping on and off the train, walking through the crowds of people, every track on it feels very busy and stressful.
I'm not trying to change anyone's mind, but genuinely, everyone I've ever met, including myself, agrees that In Rainbows improves with each listen. I'm not sure why or how, but even though the album is amazing from the first listen, it becomes even more impactful with each subsequent play. For instance, on my first listen, I thought it was very cool; by the third listen, I thought it was perfect. After many, many listens, I still do.
Here’s my favorite song of each album Pablo honey: anyone can play guitar the bends: bullet proof I wish I was ok computer: let down(also my favorite song by Radiohead) Kid A: Idioteque Amnesiac: Pyramid song Hail to the thief: 2+2=5 In rainbows: Reckoner The king of limbs: Separator Moon shaped pool: True love waits
Oh I like this game... Pablo Honey: Creep (I'm sorry, it's basic af but I can help it) The Bends: Fake Plastic Trees OK Computer: Airbag Kid A: Optimistic Amnesiac: Pyramid Song (also my favorite Radiohead song) Hail to the Thief: Go to Sleep In Rainbows: House of Cards King of Limbs: Mr. Magpie A Moon Shaped Pool: Decks Dark

@@deathconciousnesshanl yeah, except exit music and let down Im not a big fan of the songs
Yes almost mine, except okc would be above amnesiac and httt because those two feel a bit half baked
Mine is
1. In rainbows
2. Amsp
3. OKC
4. Kid a
5. Httt
6. The bends
7. Amnesiac
8. Tkol
9. Pablo
@@Neorigg let down is not terrible, but I do tend to skip exit music. The main issue with let down is how many people are nuts about it
I do hope you reconsider on Hail To The Thief, the album is literally a pain to hear sometimes and I think that’s the point.
Cool vid. 👍🏼
My tier list:
S: OK Computer, The Bends, In Rainbows
A: Kid A, Hail To The Thief
B: Pablo Honey, A Moon Shaped Pool
C: Amnesiac, The King Of Limbs
This is great and funny to see the immediate reaction to Kid A after OK Computer
I remember the reaction back in 2000, the howling from the music press expecting OK Computer 2.
this is so well put together well done man
Yo Zeniyuh. Love your vibes man. I’m a longtime Radiohead, um, head, but pretty much agree with what you’ve done here, so respect for that.
Gotta say though, what hooked me in was your editing style and sense of humour. Top notch my dude. Subscribed 🎉
All time great band. You did a great job ranking their albums.
Hail to the thief is one of my favourites but loved the video!!
Nah, im rainbows disc 2 is just not songs that didn't fit in, THEY do fit in, they just thought httt was too long so they made in rainbows shorter
paranoid android and the entierty of kid a completely saved my life, i'm so glad to hear your takes on it all :)
you should upload the full reacts to albums as separate videos. i love those types
Love radiohead myself and really enjoyed the video man
You should listen to Fontaines DC’s albums, they have a new album called ‘Romance’ coming out on 23rd August, their sound has a decent bit of range across their discography, especially with their new singles for this upcoming album they’ve switched it up massively.
Love this concept. Keep it up
been following you on tiktok since day 1 🙏 you better get famous
It’s refreshing to see someone from outside the fandom take a step inside, it’s annoying to hear the same things all the time, especially in regards to Pablo Honey and TKOL.
Even if I don’t like Pablo that much myself, it’s refreshing to hear someone talk positive about it.
I would also recommend checking out the live album “I might be wrong”.
It’s honestly a great live album with great versions of like spinning plates and True love waits
Edit.
I rlly like the new format bro, can't wait for the next one
One of my favorite artists ever, and the GREATEST band of all time. My favorite album from them is In Rainbows, and Kid A is their best
My ranking would be
S:
1. In Rainbows
2. Kid A
3. OK Computer
A:
4. A Moon Shaped Pool
5. The Bends
6. Hail to the Thief
B:
7. Amnesiac
8. Pablo Honey
Haven’t listened to King of the Limbs enough to really have an opinion on it tbh.
Btw I would love to see you rank System of a Down’s discog next 🔥
Great video! Well done, sir!
Banger video and W takes, some hot but valid asf, love this format asw!
Great vid mate, look into Swans they've got a huge discography and lots of lore worth exploring :)
If you do consider such a task, this is the order of relevant albums and mixtapes, with top being his newest, and bottom being his oldest work:

Ahhhh hail to the thief continues to be such an underrated album it seems 😭
I recommend you listening to Gorillaz next! Amazing discography, contains a lot of hip hop, synthpop, trip hop and electronic music with a touch of rock/punk sometimes:)) Great video!
There, there needs to be rescued from hail to the thief. Maybe my favourite radiohead song on lots of days
iglooghost in the back❤
;)
Ok Computer is my fav album, still a good video tho.
There as experimental as Radiohead and they are VERY VERY VERY loved by alot of people.
you got a lot of the messages of the albums correct, ok computer is about the commercialisation of our society, and kid a is indeed about global warming and apocalypse, since the leader thom yorke was extremely paranoid of global warming and melting ice caps back then. radiohead actually became the first carbon neutral band in the world, back in 2002
i hope you enjoyed amnesiac it's my fav album and i'm glad you enjoyed i might be wrong so much it's my fav song
I j fw the way u describe the music so heavy
"I could just loop this and be happy"
I think that's the first time someone said this of a Radiohead song 😂
Thank you for venturing into other genres. I already recommended you two massive electronic artists, Daft Punk and Aphex twin. But i also want to recommend the metal band, System of a down. to me they are the perfect combination of experimentation and pop sncsebility in Metal music.their 5 albums are all legendary and top tier and i hope you check them soon. I also wanted to recommend Metallica. They honestly need no introduction and i hope you check out them both.
"Hail to the Thief is my least favorite."
Me - :(
"Moon Shaped Pool is S tier"
Me: - :))))
Fwiw, Hail to the Thief is pretty regularly dragged as one of their worst.
10:04 you know we're not playing anymore when u gotta consult the bro
Great video! You should totally do Black Sabbath
Radiohead did not put out a bad album. Radiohead fans don't suggest single songs. They suggest entire albums. Because the albums are full of bangers. My ranking is 1. Ok Computer
2. In Rainbows
The rest depend on my mood.
Stanley Donwood worked with Thom to create all the album covers. It was fun to watch you discover this fantastic band.
Best tier list ever moonshaped pool is so underrated and kid a is so retro and dope
Amnesiac to me has always felt like a long train ride, constantly hopping on and off the train, walking through the crowds of people, every track on it feels very busy and stressful.
Next: Tame Impala. immaculate
Just judging by the vynils in the background I knew we were dealing with some good taste
W COMMENT 💙
You should react to both the basement sessions they are among the best things musically in the modern era.
If you get a chance, you should listen to The Strokes' discography. You'll probably love albums like Is This It, Room On Fire, and The New Abnormal
If you love buildups please listen to ‘lift your skinny fists like antennas to heaven’ by Godspeed you! Black Emperor
Pink Floyd and tool next. Similar to Radiohead in their respective genres
Here’s my favorite song of each album
Pablo honey: anyone can play guitar
the bends: bullet proof I wish I was
ok computer: let down(also my favorite song by Radiohead)
Kid A: Idioteque
Amnesiac: Pyramid song
Hail to the thief: 2+2=5
In rainbows: Reckoner
The king of limbs: Separator
Moon shaped pool: True love waits
Oh I like this game...
Pablo Honey: Creep (I'm sorry, it's basic af but I can help it)
The Bends: Fake Plastic Trees
OK Computer: Airbag
Kid A: Optimistic
Amnesiac: Pyramid Song (also my favorite Radiohead song)
Hail to the Thief: Go to Sleep
In Rainbows: House of Cards
King of Limbs: Mr. Magpie
A Moon Shaped Pool: Decks Dark
You should do black midi, they’re one of the most exciting bands recently
"Is this the same band that made Pablo Honey?" -Trust me, no matter how long you're a Radiohead fan you will never find the answer to that question
Welcome to the club
