      @austinh953 7 часов назад +2

@zachariejouineau6034 Radiohead albums don't really sound like Pink Floyd or the Beatles too much besides their willingness to experiment. Kid A is probably their most experimental and "strange" album. If you want a more movie soundtrack type album, with an emphasis on strings/piano, I'd recommend A Moon Shaped Pool.
Outside of Radiohead, my go too albums to recommend are Ants From Up There by Black Country New Road or The Downward Spiral by Nine Inch Nails.

What a wonderful Christmas gift! In Rainbows, and OK Computer are two of the most gorgeous albums I've ever heard. I don't love every song on In Rainbows, but the songs I enjoy, I truly love. I grew up on The Bends and OK Computer, and it took me a while to get into In Rainbows. It's still insane to think that they put this album out essentially for free. You could choose your own price and download the album. It was shortly after The Smashing Pumpkins released a double album in torrent form as a middle finger to the music industry. The late 90's and 00's were a crazy time for rock music. The mainstream was dying and a lot of bands were sick of the way they were treated by their labels. I refer to 1998-2001 as "the dark ages" of rock music. It was the dark ages of music in general. The scene was very dry until The Strokes popped up, and changed the popular sound. Bands like Radiohead, NIN, and Manson adapted. Bands like The Strokes, Kings of Leon, Muse, and others changed the direction of rock music. Nude, All I Need, Weird Fishes, and Video Tape are the stars of the album for me.

Merry Christmas, Jon! _A Moon Shaped Pool_ is like this album's melancholic older brother, and needs a reaction! I hope your holiday was good!

i listened today about true rest, relaxing and what it means.
we got stripped out of real rest
we watch things on x2 we do scheduling even if we dont need it
we dont try to enjoy simple things.
this album, artists, their music is essence of real rest.
even though its hard and challenging at points makes you to be somewhere else.
    makes you feel something else
    its an escape of sort.
rest is for escaping gray life, not for being part of that grey life.
that's why i see your reaction as a session of rest together with all the viewers
merry christmas jon, from viewer back in rock reacts ^^
lets let go of the burden and enjoy whatever is today and tommorow, because yesterday only scarred.
we get careful with age, because of scars, lets let go of scars and pretend we are careless kids, because there is so little to lose :)

We have started to enter an existence based on the concept of living rather than truly living. I feel like this album portrays the true emotions of life, in the most pure form, and it's absolutely perfect.
Your comment encapsulates that idea beautifully ❤️❤️

17:45 Totally felt the same way, not only for this album but OK Computer too (and even Kid A). I didn’t get what the albums were trying to say “on a deeper level” first, but what the songs were trying to invoke/tell me clicked with me 100%. I still don’t really know what all the lyrics mean on this album, partly because it just is more vague concept-wise as an album than OK computer and partly because I haven’t looked into it that much, but I still understand the feelings at play and that’s what’s most important. As the quote goes, “lyrics make you feel thoughts” (or something of the sort)

Glad I stumbled upon this, sick on my sofa at midnight Xmas day unable to sleep. What an intense experience for you and an interesting video. The feeling of discomfort you had I feel you’ll find it a theme that runs through radioheads music should you dig deeper. I never really thought about it much until you focussed on it but Thom Yorke writes a lot about his anxiety so makes sense it’s always there in the music. Interested to see you check songs like how to disappear or glass eyes on other RH albums.
Will keep an eye on the channel. Radiohead/elliott smith/ James Blake are desert island artists of mine so hope I’ll discover some new music from you. I never listened to deftones so already added that to a new music playlist.
    Merry Xmas brother.
