The thing about the me1 morality is that there is a character who really embodies the actual renegade thinking. Garrus, he is a nice guy, who wants to help people a follow the rules. He just wont let the red tape stop him
Playing LE, I loved the improvements they made to ME1 and it actually became my favorite installment in the game. Although it's such a shame I couldn't just take the default Sheps and make minor appearance edits. I played it on PS4 so I couldn't exactly just hop into mods.
2:55 Well at least that opens the opportunity to save Mordin in Mass Effect 3 (as long as the Genophage data from Mordin's Loyalty Mission is deleted).
If you do Wrex's sidequest before Virmire, dialog will change & Wrex will survive regardless of your paragon/renegade points, making it a good way to keep him in a paragade run. You need to talk to him enough to unlock it though. He'll also survive if you don't recruit Garrus or Liara before Virmire because you otherwise won't have enough people to pick between. When he backs down in this case it feels weird though. If you don't recruit Wrex at all, I think he dies between Mass Effects 1 & 2.
The thing I love the most is how good some of the throw away lines are. My favorite all time moment is ME1 on Feros when you walk up some stairs and encounter a Krogan yelling at a terminal, getting nothing and says this absolute gem of a line "Tell me what I want to know before I turn your virtual ass into actual dust!" I was in stitches the first time I heard that line I had to pause the game. Love this series, blue space titties forever.
Remember when playing Virmire: talk to all the other crew before talking to Wrex. Its part of whats required to keep him alive. Im pretty sure it lowers the requirements for Paragon/Renegade. Also get the family armor from his side quest. Honestly all the character side quests are good
my favorite thing to do in me1 is mod the rifle and be able to walk form beginning to end of mission never letting go of the trigger and never overheating for some reason that made me giggle uncontrollably
At least with mass effect 1 and wrex's death there was a method of saving him without enough paragon or renegade points, but that's such a problem for the series in general.
Ug your so right about the whole ammo thing. If anything they should have went with a slow like durability loss type system, like after 10,000 shots or so your block of"ammo" runs out or something. But having to pict up one of 3 types of ammo that somehow work for every model of gun regardless of the fact that they are made by different races in different parts of the UNIVERSE is pretty lame.
Idk I liked playing middle roadish. Like not everyone survived, but at least my choices were kinda along the line of what I myself should choose in that situation, which is why I did play male Shep (botic) but I usually try to make my character look as much like me if I can for a idk immersive play thought, though I would like to see the ability to play as the alien races.
On the subject of forgiving a game's janky elements for a good story: One of my favourite games is Alpha Protocol, which was an Obsidian-developed RPG about modern espionage. It was buggy and unbalanced, but had a story that actually changed based on your choices, both in dialogue and gameplay. That game desperately needs a sequel or a remake, and I want it on my desk by morning.
On the ps3 version, I played it. It sucked at first when it came out, but you could edit the save it with a thumb drive and change the choices. they later added mass effects 1, 2, and 3 with rhe dlcs. Mass effect andromeda, even though it was a dumpster fire, fixed the RP aspect you talked about.
So, the gun ammo thing is basically all guns use a standardized 'clip' that is actually a heat sink that can be discharged and you just put in a cold one. Basically because all guns are standardized, instantly switching clips rather than wait for the cool down isnt so bad. A clip that fits a pistol fits a shotgun. But i do love using the classic assault rifle thst overheats in ME3
So there is one line I can think of where someone makes remarks in you being a woman. The beat cop in the bar in ME1 makes a pass at you thinking you are a dancer.
Listen I have played through Mass Effect 14 times if you didn't get Wrex his family armor you can't save him if you did you can play middle of the road so they are wrong when it comes to that morality system in Mass Effect 1 but for Mass Effect 2 and 3 they are correct

In mass effect 1 you can save wrex if you find his family armour without doing ether regenaged or paragon options
And it's easy to find by accident
I got the armor by accident before I even talked to him about it
I always grab it as a safety net. Just incase I don’t have the points by Virmire.

If you know the world the armour is on, you can go there and give it to him as a gift as soon as he asks about it
This is perfect timing! I’ve got a long drive today.
I'm HiProphet and this is my favorite channel on RUclips.

Renegade is one of those words that weirdly mutated. It literally means somebody who broke their promise (reneged).

Im literally playing ME2 right now
Dammit you guys really make me want to play mass effect again 😅

Can't you also sock him one for doing it?
You can be one or the other morally with bits of the opposite if you know the games.
Yeah, and I feel like Paragon has more options for balance with Renegade. Like you can do more renegade stuff while staying Paragon
I'm sick of people trying to make out like fable is a masterpiece.. they were fine. just glad you pointed out the shite writing 😂

Karl in Mass Effect 1 if you are playing female Shepherd you get cat called and hit on by Harkin
Oh, as far as sexism goes, Harkin is a creep to FemmeShep in Chora's Den.
Is your mass effect 1 play through on RUclips?
Tali is best girl.
Liara is better.
@@ADMNtekFor you.
Those are weird ways to spell Jack
Counterpoint, Mordin is best girl
@@jojotheswede8444He is the very model of scientist Salarian
The choice system in starfeild is possibly the worst choice system I have ever seen. Starfeild also has depressingly stupid gameplay.
