that's my partner in the Beau cosplay!!! and I look right at the camera in a panic at 40s! interviewer didn't bother to tell us he was filming or anything, just walked up and started talking. could have done with a "hey, can we interview you and put it on RUclips, and hey you not in costume, gtfo outta the shot"
I was so happy so many people wanted to chat. Hearing the personal stories and all the different perspectives was such a treat. ^^ Glad I was there to capture the moment, and glad you enjoyed it!
Yeah, I thought about making some videos, but in the end I just wanted to enjoy it in the moment. One thing I’ve learned from traveling is that when you concern yourself too much with getting the photo, your memory of the time and place is ironically not as strong or meaningful.
I’ve never seen Critical Role, nor am too interested, as watching people play is torture for me. But I love watching the folks really enjoy this. They are my people and I’m glad to see them enjoy themselves!
I once walked by a line of people camping out for some sneaker (i think it was that), and they were seemingly having a blast. Even though I have no interest in shoes, I almost wanted to join the line just to be around them.
I love the power stance you have in all these little interviews where you have your right leg out stabilizing you and your left leg has your knee raised up XD
I watched the whole of campaign one and was absolutely in love with the cast. I watched some of campaign two (SPOILERS: I reached the demise of one beloved character and introduction to another) before I sort of phased out. I don't know what it was about C2, but I thought I'd lost my love of CR until the beginning of campaign three. Two episodes alone and I'm re-hooked!
The start of C2 was rough. In fact it wasn't until after that event where they clicked for me. Once the new character came in, the team settled into their groove and became a team. Plus they all (Beau) became less abrasive, and the barriers between them started dropping. The last arc (last 20 or so episodes) gets a little weird - major tone/genre shift - but I think the bulk of C2 was more interesting than C1. C1 was straightforward high fantasy. C2 had a lot more political intrigue, mystery, and characters that don't fit the archetypal high fantasy mold.
Really good video! Hope next time this happens the pandemic is over so you can get a bit closer with that mic XD But seriously, hope you actually go out and interview more people next time this inevitably happens cause this was great
You know... this is a bit off base here but... I always wonder how peeps have time to watch so many things and still have time for life in general... like, am I "life-ing" wrong???
It’s about 4 hours a week. I try to stay up on Thursday and suffer the consequences on Friday. I still have the rest of the week for whatever. I caught up to the show around episode 48 of campaign 1 so committing to 4 hours a week isn’t too bad.
I caught up Campaign 1 & 2 in five months, and that was before quarantine hits everywhere in the world so yea I needed to sacrifice some sleep, it also helps when I have no social life outside of family and work. Turn on captions and then set to double speed on RUclips, that is your friend during their combat rounds and the slow parts.
wish my local theater had done this but the nearest one was 2 hours away and since i'm on the east coast that means a 4 hour theater show followed by 4 hours round trip i love CR but NO
long theater time 4 hours? ever heard of a movie marathon ? I saw the Hobbit, and lord of the rings trilogy as a marathon movie event. 4 ,4+ hour movies back to back
If I were interviewed, the question is this the longest you were ever in a theater, my answer would be no lol... i participated in a movie marathon and spent over 10 hours lol... FYI though this is really hard to hear... :-(
Yeah :( For real, biggest regret was how the audio turned out. A friend reached out and offered to advise on audio mastering in the future though, so it won't be this bad again. And subtitles are coming soon >.> I've been swamped tho

I was looking for something like this. Wish there were more from around the country. Great job!

The pandemic certainly hurts turnout, but yeah this is awesome!
I wished it was in my country :( although it would air at 4 in the morning so i get it but still...

Hey that's me! It was great to talk to you! This was a freaking awesome experience and I'm grateful for some documentation
Love that you did this! It is wonderful.
The first ep was already Great can’t wait for more
I am loving this! thanks for being on the ground and getting into the people's view
I haven't seen any videos similar to this, I'm glad I was there for the snapshot. :3
This is so wholesome
Just smiles, all around. ^^

Love the undercover work! Their enthusiasm makes me want to watch even though I know CR isn't for me. Also props to the one gal running Cortex.
Haha, CR is such a guilty pleasure for me. And yeah! The only person who reported playing something besides 5e. You love to see it.
This is so cool, I wasn't able to see it in a theatre but I would love to be able to at some point.
With all this chatter, I'd be surprised if they didn't do this again for a special occasion.
They probably will. This is kind of the next step from the live shows they've done before.
Thanks for this. I'm in the UK so we didn't get the cinema experience and I was interested to see what the crowd would look like.
I love all of these people, gosh this is so wholesome
Great set of interviews, thank you.
I love the power stance you have in all these little interviews where you have your right leg out stabilizing you and your left leg has your knee raised up XD
Love this!!! I couldn’t make it to a screening so I thank you for sharing with us a taste of the vibes and conversations I would’ve had 😂🙌
Thank you for doing this, that was very neat! :)
So awesome, wish this was available somewhere near me! And a really fun video :D
So glad I found critical role
Awesome!
💃💃💃
This is so wholesome :D
"It's not much, but it's honest work" comes to mind :)
Is this at the Utah theater!?! I was totally there!
Great job! Earned my sub! :)
nice content, keep it going my pal !
I wanted to go! There wasn't any theaters by me ... 😕. They weren't kidding when they said they limited showings . . .
great job!

When I watched it to catch up I would have it on in the background while I did actual life stuff
Five words: Triple speed on Google Podcasts. XD

my wife and i watch the 1st half live and the second over the weekend
This is so cute everyone is so excited!
Holy shit! This was at my theater!!
Dammit, why did I move out of the country?? Might consider moving back if they have this event in Chicago lol
Don't consider too hard. Or do, depending on what country you moved to...
Great job on this video's name, by the way. Awesome reference.
critical role is a group event kinda like Rocky Horror Picture Show at midnight....
Wait what?! I don't have Twitter or Instagram, so how can I know when and where Cinemark Theaters will have CR content?
I had no idea they were doing a showing at the theaters!
We can't hear the first guy in the mask. Even others far away were heard well.
I can't even watch this stuff without crying lol wwwhhhyyyyyy
This looks like the theater I went to to see the first episode!
West Jordan?
wish my local theater had done this but the nearest one was 2 hours away and since i'm on the east coast that means a 4 hour theater show followed by 4 hours round trip i love CR but NO
I did this, and got home around 4am, and work was hell the next day. But, it was a once in a lifetime experience and worth it.
This looks like Jordan Landing Cinemark.
That's because it is >w>
Was this in utah?
Yep! Just south of Salt Lake City. :)
@@collabswithoutpermission nice! thats the one i went to.
long theater time 4 hours? ever heard of a movie marathon ? I saw the Hobbit, and lord of the rings trilogy as a marathon movie event. 4 ,4+ hour movies back to back
Yeah, some folks mentioned that and the Quentin Tarantino collection screening. To them this was nothing. XD
If I were interviewed, the question is this the longest you were ever in a theater, my answer would be no lol... i participated in a movie marathon and spent over 10 hours lol... FYI though this is really hard to hear... :-(
