My dad put me on a motorcycle before I could walk. When I was 9 I got in a crash and went into a coma for 6 weeks. A few years after that he started hitting me. He’s not in my life anymore and I couldn’t be happier
all the people complaining how bad there father's are really grow up, I wish I had a father like that and especially if he would push me t do motocross, all my life I've only wanted to do motocross I know I'm not going to be able to achieve it, so stop saying shit couse those kids are the lucky
I didnt ride a dirt bike for 7 years until i bought my son one, now i have 2 and about to buy the fc350. He still wants to keep riding but i wont ever be his coach or whatever,, ill go out and ride with him anywhere
I think anyone complaining didn't watch the last 60 seconds - the kid wants that conflict, it's what drives him, aand yeah it's wierd, but everybody's different.
All my dad tells me is too have fun, that’s how I do better in myself. When I did amateur nationals my dad never pushed me or even lectured me. He just told me to ride like it’s practice

That is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard your dad knows how you ride he raised you he told you what you know the only way to improve is if he teaches you more. And you can only achieve more if you have that presser that your dad gives you, also the rider is going to have to want it to so that means the rider is going to have to train hard
Overbearing father's are ruining American's motocross. The Europeans do not take this approach and they are dominating us. The current American philosophy is ruining American motocross. Adam's program is so regimented and rigid that he will never compete with Herlings and most other Europeans. Unless he changes his childish attitude.
Robert Clint the euros don’t do 2 completely different types of racing in one year. They do motocross and have a break. I have to say this video has really helped me get on top of my gain and train hard because its not easy and I wish I was there too great video and I think your a top kid
Y'all that say Adams dad is a ass he's not I've been threw this shit it's hard your fathers and mom push u to win not to lose they pay for them bikes for you to win not to go fuck around
I'm sick of seeing dads push their kids so much living thru their accomplishments. not the relationship I would want with my father. thank God I had who I had for a father.
In truth, my father was so relaxed when we were racing that he’d often not be harsh enough and point out what I did wrong or that I could’ve done better in some spots. He always just did it to let me have fun and if I loved it I could keep doing it. I eventually ended up getting pretty fast and won a championship, all with my mom and dad behind me. I grew so close to my father when I was racing dirt bikes. He’d get up early as hell and drive to the races and stay up late working on the bikes all the while paying for everything. All I had to do was race the damn things. I don’t think I can imagine anything bringing a father and son (and whole family in general) as close as motocross. Cheers
Anyone else wish they had a cool relationship with their dad like this? If your passion is motocross, and your parents aren't into it, you simply will never make it to the top -or anywhere near the top for that matter. It's just not possible.
what is really hard is the change from 2 stroke to 4 stroke the price is 5×s minimum the money that a privateer has to put in it is sad but at least the prize money has went up
Never put anything before your kids but these dads seem to be able to. And I feel sorry for these kids they have had no childhood because of there dads pushing them and it makes the kids boring assholes as well.
Coming from a kid who's dad gave up so much an I gave up so much in the aspect of wanting to turn pro an coming up short because of injuries is hard. But as a father and son chasing that kind of dream, it's more then just the father pushing his kid, it's the father pushing an the kid pushing. As riders pushing for that level we get mad at our selves for mistakes an so on and mad when we don't ride like we know we can. A dad hounding you is the least of it. Because at the end of the day, the rider that wants it will be harsher on him self. Just because you don't like this kind of relationship, plenty of kids love it an wouldn't trade it for any other thing.
Absolutely not. I mean yeah going out is fun. I mean there are kids who grow up having those fun days like ken roczen. But those are few an far In between. Yeah we miss out on stuff like that, but when we are at the tracks, we have a whole family there. The memories we make at a track as just as great
Their dad's are paying fucking much money to the teams. And they keep saying to the kids "Hey you are bad. The rookie is better than you." It won't make the kids better in life ...
wish my dad gave a shit, my mx career lasted about 9months, i didnt visit my dad for lets says 2 weeks and because of that he sold my cr85 bigwheel which he got me for my birthday. its a shame :(
Man they need to do more of this shit.. You wanna grow our sport??? It starts with these , O an making 2 strokes relevant again for amateurs, or make 4 strokes affordable and easier to work on. The price of the 4 stroke and modding it has priced us working men out . I grew up racing and my old man worked his ass off to take me. I make great money and have 2 boys and I can't afford it , 4 bikes , one practice bike, one race bike for each kid is literally 12 to 16 grand for each kid and, that ain't even gear, fluids, hauler, trailer and admission and keeping em up . They've killed the sport and you all will see it the next 10 years. I see it already, look at the 450 class this season, I mean vince friesy is in opening ceremonies, he was trying to qualify in the lcq a few years ago.
I believe mx is doomed because of the reality portrayed in this video. I think you will be very hard pressed to find a father who DIDN'T grow up racing a dirtbike push their kids to do so. What sane father would refinance/sell everything he owns to finance an amateur career that will likely end in heartache and debt? Not to mention the virtual fact that at some point, it will drive the family apart. You will only find families that have consistently grown up in the sport that push kids to continue it. Which means... a sport that has a very hard time growing. I didn't grow up in mx or on a dirtbike. It was a baseball and football for me but in my later years learned to appreciate and love the sport. Having said that, knowing what I know about the sport... I'd never allow my child to pursue this professionally.
If you ever want your kid to be this fast once the get on a 50 put a quarter turn on it. My dad put mine on Becouse all they kids where not full throttle that will play a big role on teaching your kid to go fast and it will be ruff at the beginning but they will learn how to ride with it and if they don’t like it don’t take it off or say you did but don’t. Another thing is if your at the track and you kid swears that he is using his front breaks but grease on it and tell him to go do a 30 min moto if he is not using them the grease will still be there.

sadly turned out to be 2 of the unluckiest riders who were amazing on the bike but who’s careers were plagued by injuries. with adam retired now and austin’s racing future uncertain, it makes you wonder where things went wrong.
something that always works, making someone pissed off so they become faster. my dad does the same as cianciarulo dad does, always complain to make me mad and then i become top 15 or even top 10
I remember riding at bithlo when Adam ciancarulo was on a cobra 50. Pretty much needed to ride in the A class practice. It was crazy watching a 2ft tall kid jump 80ft tables on a 50.
Adams dad is way to pushy and you can see it increase the nerves of Adam which then he stiffens up , it’s fine to have a pushy dad but not to that exstent
wish that Enduro was as constant as MX... Red Bull, you guys could buy some land in almost every state to drive the industry that holds the target demographic. Enduro and trials would be incredibly easy to open! Dirt, rocks, or concrete Red Bull letters/cans for trials... Texas would be nice. 😉
Negative reinforcement works for some riders, but as a new MX dad to a 5 and 3 year old, I try to stay more neutral with them because I am someone who thrives on negative reinforcement in my own past.
Riding the trails and dirtbikes and 4wheelers are father daughter thing for me I like this kind of stuff and hunting and fishing and my brother doesn't he is more of a book worm like my mom and the internet genius in our house.
And Jim? Hickman was White of West Virginia university of California Berkeley or Oakland CA and I will be in the car is in the car is still available and I will be working Emiy? rose is not allive today because Donny Hansen
This video actually hits home… I can’t wait for my father hood years to share The passion I was once obsessed with growing up but never had a parent that wanted to help me reach my goals rather than sit back and point fingers about what i was doing wrong in life at the time to not be achieving them I guess what I’m trying to say is when I have a kid I will always try my hardest to support them in whatever decisions they choose to make and what sports they choose to play even if they are screwing up frequently the offer will always stand that we can go racing….I often find myself making dumb decisions that even I’m not proud of at the age I’m at and it’s a bummer motocross is a sport that not every family gets to enjoy because of costs because it truly is an amazing thing to experience and be a part of. Ofc it’s dangerous but so is drugs and alcohol and that’s something most people end up trying too..
na james stuw.. finshed in 1st his first race as a rookie so 214 did ok and i predect lots of crashes adn broken bones in supercross ..and i think sum of the top riders shouldnt race supercross no more man it just to riskey and if the factoy wants them they will still pay him the same
My father was a about himself,i made it with out him ,i would have excelled twice as fast if he would have been part of my life..Austin and Adam came from awesome parents good for them..
That's awesome! For these parents what they have to do! It's hard! I remember when I got into mountain biking did my first race! I want to keep going! and go pro one day! ! my parents said they couldn't afford it!

You hear forkner say “the reason why I love dirt bikes is because my dad always had them around me” For me it was the same. My dad wanted me to be a go kart racer, car racer, but bought be a dirt bike. His biggest mistake ever. I told him I didn’t wanna drive no more I wanted to ride. From that point on it was professional motocross.
It's funny how this is a documentary type video of two Monster Energy riders and it's published by a Red Bull channel
The Drift Ninja I was strolling down to find if eney one had noticed
Every sunglass company is owned by one company.
The Drift Ninja just goes to show how much respect these teams have for the next in this sport I think personally.
I guess im asking the wrong place but does anybody know of a way to log back into an instagram account..?
I stupidly lost the account password. I would love any tricks you can offer me
@Warren Logan instablaster =)
like if your didnt have a dad that did motorcoss
English?
What nigga lmfao
Or just being fatherless 🤷♂️
I want to do motocross and I'm a girl, and none of my parents do motocross AT ALL

Here to watch this after AC announced his retirement. Nobody can question his motivation or dedication.
Me too
Dad's pressing his sons is bad, ask AC, JS, even Gajser, his dad is pretty hard, MX is something that should come from inside of you, not from your dad
gotta push them to get them to improve
@@sterben4958there's a fine line between pushing and being in some ways mentally abusive
Gajser is an absolute rocket on the track tho! id love to see some americans line up at the mxgp to see how they would do! And you are correct, sometimes it is more mentally abusing than pushing, and it destroys kids!
Also in this sport pushing a child too much when they are already on the limit is dangerous
My dad put me on a motorcycle before I could walk. When I was 9 I got in a crash and went into a coma for 6 weeks. A few years after that he started hitting me. He’s not in my life anymore and I couldn’t be happier
I really can't wait to take my son racing and pass the passion to a third generation. There really is no family like a motocross family.
Cianciarulo's story got me emotional i understand him 100%
all the people complaining how bad there father's are really grow up, I wish I had a father like that and especially if he would push me t do motocross, all my life I've only wanted to do motocross I know I'm not going to be able to achieve it, so stop saying shit couse those kids are the lucky

They are lucky and so am I bc I do bmx racing but they work harder then me and by that I mean the money only shit is it all expensive
I think you are the one who needs to grow up, because you can't grasp the importance of emotional stability while growing up.
I think anyone complaining didn't watch the last 60 seconds - the kid wants that conflict, it's what drives him, aand yeah it's wierd, but everybody's different.

this is fantastic why not 45 min episodes???
agreed

Seriously. Feels like a 25 min commercial
I think a lot of the problem is when kids are racing at a young age, they enjoy it, they love it, they love the thrill, they can't wait for the next one and then when they go pro all the pressures come on them, they lose the love for the sport, the passion for the racing, they are so young, they have all this responsibility which they sort of understand and overthink thing instead of letting their natural ability flow. 6:57 Villopoto makes a cameo!
Ayyyyyyy
Nice eye. I missed that until I read this and went back.
Glad AC has Nick Wey as his coach now. People say AC had everything handed to him. Those people don't have a fucking clue. "LAZERS"
“Former phenom” damn give AC some more respect. He’s still really young 😂😂
Austin Forkner is a beast !!!! 2019 win streak is beast mode
I guess Mom got her horses back, and dad got his db back 👍

Forkner is the truth.... going into Round 4 at High Point..... 6th in the Points, a rookie!!!!
Do work Austin.
Bad idea to have dad involved at that point. It is not worth sacrificing that relationship you have with your father.
Adam Pankoke agreed

And now The End of an Era 🫡💚
Only kids with rich parents manage to go pro
Not true at all lmaoo

The rich kids arent tough enough. The ones who make it... Their parents are broke and in debt

wow i feel sorry for adam. his is just as bad as tony alessi
Forkner’s dad is AWESOME!!! That’s why Austin will be up top pretty soon, mark my word.👍🏻
When AC’s dad said “two more spots and he’s out of the top 10. He’s done” Like c’mon
yea what a tool
Lol these kids are going to go bald from all the stress or go insane ._.
Look up blake bagget. He wen bald when he was 16 lol

Nop, adam is not stupid
what happened to hil
He will his dad wants it more than he does too much pressure and expectations to Win.
I was thinking the same thing. But hey, maybe it will work for him.

This is one of the best web series I’ve ever seen. PLEASE KEEP THEM GOING!!!
Brace yourself! 😉
I feel so bad for some of these kids there parents just ride the shit out of them let them be kids too

Ever YEAR Anyone can pick 3 or4 guys and one of those guys will win every time (lots of practice and $70,000 dirt BIKES)) this is one every un fair sport.. theres not another like it... and the fans have no glue.. just ask the General-Deegan🤘
sadly turned out to be 2 of the unluckiest riders who were amazing on the bike but who’s careers were plagued by injuries. with adam retired now and austin’s racing future uncertain, it makes you wonder where things went wrong.
Adams dad, damn, just like all these local track 50 dads. bro let the man have fun. this is life
Look at Adam now, 250 west points leader in 2019.
Think you missed my point
@@travisthomas6139 You really think AC would want to do anything else? You don' think ac has fun and lives life?
Lmao😂
something that always works, making someone pissed off so they become faster. my dad does the same as cianciarulo dad does, always complain to make me mad and then i become top 15 or even top 10
Seems to me like the father's are trying to live their own dreams through their children.
agreed….
Mister Quill Thats what fathers want. For their children to have greater success than they had.
Dikhead comment buddy
Troy is a beast at capturing the drama of our sport.
Haiden "Dangerboy" Deegan. Remember that name
@Ximos Trilox Yawn... hater...
I remember riding at bithlo when Adam ciancarulo was on a cobra 50. Pretty much needed to ride in the A class practice. It was crazy watching a 2ft tall kid jump 80ft tables on a 50.
idk why but i love watching AC and his dad argue lol
Riding the trails and dirtbikes and 4wheelers are father daughter thing for me I like this kind of stuff and hunting and fishing and my brother doesn't he is more of a book worm like my mom and the internet genius in our house.
who is waiting for caseys vlogs?
Lol
Who is Casey?
+Oliver Lennard joking?

214 is my house number love this guy
That's awesome! For these parents what they have to do! It's hard! I remember when I got into mountain biking did my first race! I want to keep going! and go pro one day! ! my parents said they couldn't afford it!
Wow. Redbull Tv show on monster riders
I was thinking the same thing, maybe its showing some companys can act human after all. Gj redbull.
Its crazy re-watching this after seeing their careers and knowing what they are doing now.
Wish my parents would support me I rlly wish I could do bmx or mx I'm 11
These two both choked and blew their 2019 Supercross Championship.
Austin rides so hard but he would ride harder if he rode KTM
i think he is pretty solid on the kawasaki
#85 KTM nationnn
That would be sick
Nah, Kawasaki is the best
Someone caption 7:07
I seen that ps4 controller at 8:18 and knew this guy was going places.
Forkners mum doesnt look like a woman she looks like a woMAN

villopoto spotted 6:56
Yeah that’s just like me having an injury and wanting the Russ and hype to get Back on a dirtbike
Poor Adam
Love it!
i raced dirtbikes when i was younger but it got too expensive and my uncle stopped taking me. Cant wait to put my future son into racing.
wow this is a good episode
Damn I wish I had a dad.
Troy is a beast at capturing the drama of our sport.
Don’t care much for Kawasaki but they make some damn good riders
Adams dad is such a jerk!
that was intense! can't wait to see more
Who is the narrator on these things? He's intense man, I like his voice.
i want to start to race but i don't know how to start can someone help?
I hate it when people like think everyone wants to hear their opinion on something they have no experience with.
You hear forkner say “the reason why I love dirt bikes is because my dad always had them around me”
For me it was the same. My dad wanted me to be a go kart racer, car racer, but bought be a dirt bike. His biggest mistake ever. I told him I didn’t wanna drive no more I wanted to ride. From that point on it was professional motocross.
