    Wow, I remembered back in the days when you mostly reviewed Redragon, RK and other cheap mechanical keyboards. And now here we are at the HP X switch review, please keep it up :D.

    1st: those switch lovers need to see the components (like the legs on the stem, the original Drop Holy Pandas were too thin and often broke) and your camera constant zoom-in makes for a pleasing video but doesn't allow us to see the components in details. Another detail missed was a sound test of the housing top and bottom, on the original it is a softer plastic and on the Gateron's seems harder... 2nd: lubing the switches in your sound test actually removed the "thockiness" expected from the switch, so you basically made it closer to a brown by lubing them (personal choice however). I will stick to the Glorious Pandas, as they are very sturdy and satisfying. I got 3 keyboards that I retrofitted with original Holy Pandas (1 lubed and two unlubbed) and another 3 with Glorious Pandas (1 lubbed and 2 unlubbed) and Glorious Pandas without extra lube works best to my taste.

    Nice review. What lube did you use, and did you lube the feet?

  • @Green-Man

    I haven't tried these of course, but the Tecsee Neapolitans have a pretty similar force graph. And they sound much better than these do. I think for $1 a switch there are just too many other options out there to justify this kind of price tag. Great review though, thanks for helping me come to an opinion.

    • @probablyparanoid
      @probablyparanoid 2 года назад

      The Tecsee Coffee Chip tactile switch is also a great alternative to Neapolitans and Holy Pandas

      Agreed! Just built my fiancee's KBD Fans Odin with a full set of Purple Pandas and compared to my Glorious Pandas in my Mode80, it's really really hard to beat that value. They came in at $50cad for 110 switches.

    I really like this channel and your videos. You are super positive and get straight to the point. This video has me so hyped for the switch! People keep bagging on them because of the shorter poles compared to the OG holy panda but I think that was one of the things that made me dislike and give up using the OG holy panda to begin with. Thank you for the video!!!

    2 years after posting, have you had a chance to try Zealios v2 tactile? How would you compare if you have? I own some zealios switches and they are hands down my favorite tactiles. I came across a good deal for some Holy Panda X clears and wanted to know if they are similar at all

    Could you make a review on the gateron pro yellow switches and compare them against the gateron milky yellow and the gold cap yellows? And possibly to some other premium switches like black ink v2s?

    • @huunhanle3809
      @huunhanle3809 2 года назад +1

      I've tried both Gateron Milky Pro Yellow ( KS-3X1 ) and Pro Yellow ( KS9 Pro ) and here are my thought:
      1. Stem: stem wobble on the KS9 Pro are less than the Milky one, both in 4 directions. But the Milky doesn't fall behind far, it's still does the job well.
      2. Smooth: both of them are very smooth in stock due to the pre-lubed and I didn't notice any differences even after lubed.
      3. Sound: the Milky Pro have a deep sound in stock and even more deeper after lubed and filmed, while the KS9 Pro sound is very neutral in my opinion; not deep like Milky but also not clacky like other switches.

    I still remember you reviewing the k530 and also the same reason why I bought it but I am thinking of upgrading to a more premium keyboard like akko acrylic 61 but there isn't any full review on it and was hoping if you can provide me with some info and would you recommend it.

    I would love to see tech stuff as the ‘custom keyboard’ stuff has been long worn out for me. Switches change actuation buy 1%, sound softens by 5% and change the colour of the switch casing and another switch review 🤦🤦‍♂🤦‍♀ boring! I loved the budget tech product reviews which have been missing for some time now 😢😭.
