God I remember when this channel was so small, and yet here we are even bigger, but just as good as the beginning with a whole bunch of growth/improvement.
The part at 8:20 where you compared multiple switches at the same time was an absolutely amazing help for me to finally decide which I want. Thank you for this video.
The history of the inyvr panda switch that you gave in your video was a bit inaccurate. inyvr originally ran a small run of the inyvr panda switch manufactured by bsun and as you said in the video it wasn't very popular until quakemz created the first known Holy Panda. Then because they though the molds were destroyed there was not panda switches for a while, but then a member of the community who I cannot remember the name of said that the molds were not destroyed and ran the bsun gsus switch which was a "clone" quote on quote but was pretty much the same mold that was previously used. After this iynvr teamed up with drop to release holy panda switches using the same molds and drops halo stems. Around this time novelkeys released the yok panda switches which are also manufactured by bsun, I believe that these use the same molds as well. Drop released the v2 holy pandas and these were also manufactured by bsun but i believe that they used a different mold, but in my experience they preform the same as my yok holy pandas. Now glorious has come around and is also using the original panda molds but with their cloned halo stems which i think are all manufactured by bsun. Basically all pandas are manufactured by bsun and are not really clones. They are the same switch with some minor exceptions like the fact that the original inyvr panda and gsus are made of POM instead of nylon like all other panda switches. But basically the take away is all inyvr, gsus, yok, and glorious pandas are the same and are made in the same factory minus some changes with the stems.
I really hope that these switches force other "premium" competitors like zeal pc to innovate further and possibly make their switches more accessible to people with a smaller budget.
Innovation is different than expansion. You see zeal pc, for example, already innovates, making some slight changes with its switch lineup every once and a while. But the issues isnt that, its that they dont have enough people buying the switches to lower the price enough to make money. That is why zeal cant lower prices because they dont have as much demand, drop on the other hand has no reason why cuz well, they dont have anyy shortage of buyers so idk why they are so expensive
2006HondaCivic That’s a good point. Didn’t really think about the visibility of zeal vs glorious. And yea, it is pretty ridiculous that drop charges so much for their HP switches considering they’re likely one of the leading retailers in the MK community, but the quality of those new HPs doesn’t seem anywhere near as good as the originals or zealios.
If glorious has the original housing and drop has the real stem, you can make true holy pandas if you buy both and combine them, although the pricing of that is pretty insane
I just wanna say thank you for the videos. I've always loved to watch what comes out and what's new, but as I watched more and more, I wanted to join in the keyboard world myself and recently just finished my own custom boards! Lubed my own switches, soldered them to the pcb, and did everything myself! IT WAS SO MUCH FUN! And now I'm just waiting for the Drop Carina later in the year to do another a 60% build! So thanks again for the videos, they inspired me to join in the fun and I'm a fan for life!
Can we just appreciate the time it took to make this he had a key board that had browns in it he put stock pandas in took them out lubed them put them in and then took them out and put polar pandas in well done badseed well done
Great vid as always. Wish there would have been a full typing test with all lubed Glorious pandas. Preordered mine with some of the Glorious switch lube to try. I always lean towards linears, but I figured I gotta give these a try. Gonna throw them in my Kemove Snowfox.
Just got these. If there is stem wobble, Films might help. Since they're similar to pandas, I suggest using TX .125mm . Can't wait to lube and possibly create a build. :)
Glorious people don't seem to ever get tired of disrupting the living daylight out of the PC peripherals market! Say what you will about their questionable tactics with the branding, but they were smart to turn the whole thing around as quick as they did and these switches will sell like hot cakes. I for one, welcome our new Glorious Panda overlords (about time we get some competition, wide availability and down to earth prices in this hobby)! Oh, and the mane was... Glorious!!! 😂
Drop shipped out my Holy Pandas a few days ago, otherwise I’d pick these up. A steal at that price. I was worried that these would be a T1 rebrand, but I’m glad to see they kept the elongated stem which is essential to getting the same sound and feel.
I like the part where you say that there is stem wobble, scratchy feeling, spring ping, spring crunch, and leaf ping then say it has good value at its price point.
I ordered some 🥳!! The sound tests were boss, they sound great!! Another outstanding review good sir, but I think you should have kept that wig on the whole time. Lol. I mean, how glorious 😉 was that head shake in the beginning!! 😂
Waited for this video before copping. Got some of that G-G-G-G LUBE, as well. So stoked! I've been a big fan of Glorious and what they've been doing with the lightweight mouse market. Own a couple Model O's and a Model D. Have had their GMMK Compact for awhile now. I was concerned over the naming drama, but I had a feeling that they would make things right and not try to step on toes in the community. They are truly a company worth rooting for. With the custom keyboard community growing and the need for scaling - Glorious appears to be making the right moves to help with that growth.
I'm loving all the competition in the mechanical keyboard right now! The hobbyist is really benefiting and with the large influx of people to this pastime during COVID-19, having a high quality switch like this continuously stocked is terrific.
I. Can't. Breath. I laughing soooo much. The friggin wig? Great. Not mentioning it all and just going along talking and messing with the wig ? KILLED ME. LOLOL...

Nice review Brian! Is 67g the bottom out weight? I know there's no listed actuation and Bottom out weights, but from personal experience which one would you say the '67g' is referring to? I'm a little hesitant to buy heavier switches, I ran kailh pro burgundy switches for a while and while i liked them for typing I found them a bit too fatiguing for gaming. No idea what the bottom out weight on them is, but the actuation is 50g and they have a much steeper force curve than the box reds I'm running at the moment. I'm actually kinda tempted to try box white or pink switches. My first mech board had choc whites, and I kinda miss that light but crisp clickbar tactility that normal MX tactiles just can't produce. I'm just not sure if the noise will be an issue now that I've switched to open back headphones.
Nice review as always... I didn't see a Glorious "lubed" typing demo; however, there were two Polar Panda Lubed Demo's, one at 7:27 and again at 8:55. I presume the one at 8:55 was Glorious Lubed?
I have Glorious Pandas in my new, first keyboard build. I didn't know that they were as good as they are. And I have my board setup so it gets more acoustical "thock". So I have a bit of foam, a silicon gasket, but some hollowness in my case and I have the middle screw out. So they really pop. I've literally never actually knew what a great switch felt like until now. I've been using stock, soldered in Cherry MXs for so long. I did ghetto lube the MX browns in my Ducky One2 Mini, foam modded it and left the center screw loosened. So they actually sound and feel pretty good. But overall, I can say I've never had a board that was so good, it made me want to leave really long comments just to type more.
@@fritzcarlorosal3427 tiny improvement, not worth getting the extra halo switches if you don't already have them. The biggest let down is the contact leaf ping. Glorious did a solid job on the housing and stems but that contact leaf... Oof... Some of them sound really bad. But other than that pretty good budget switch
Why do you show a full type test with only a stock version of the glorious pandas? The only time they were lubed was when it was a single key. Or are the watermarks not accurate?
Great video as always!! I’m looking at getting some of these switches but want to know which had more of a tactile feel or “bite” to them. Which switches felt the best to you?
Brian, just wanted to say a huge 'Thank you!' to you for your amazing content which I discovered many months ago. I just cancelled my orders of the Halo True for 4 of these. They do sound a lot better. What lube should I use for the stem? Also, is it just me or can you hear the spring noise on the up stroke? Have you tried filming the switches to see if it may reduce the stem wobble?
Love it when I find a youtuber that has their editing details and audio so nicely done it only takes 1 of their video to get me suscribing, not very common. Also what are the best linear switch in your opinion? Trying to find the best ones regardless of price now that I got into keyboards
i got pre order once i read the reddit thread. I've no reason to believe they'd lie about getting the og tool and it's 100% worth the shot for this price point.
