Been waiting for this one, absolutely loved it, I know you looked at the merch which we always do but usually just buy a stubby holder now as we both have so many band shirts we can barely fit them in the 2 wardrobes and 3 sets of drawers. Was fantastic to see the songs I listen to on c.d.s live for sure. I met Janick last time maiden we’re out as we thought he would go to the elephant and wheelbarrow after the gig which he did with Bruce’s sons band, we got a photo with him and he signed my ticket. We have a bar here called cherry bar which international bands go to for the afterparty, we have been to so many gigs then hung out with the bands after and chatted away. After one of the Darkness gigs they rocked up and Airborne were also there which we know , so we got some great fun photos with them.looks like you got a bit closer to the front as the night went on. It’s strange but a lot of my really hard core maiden friends don’t want anything to do with Bruce’s solo stuff, they don’t know what they are missing.Thank you so much for putting this one up 😍
Ah, thank you so much!!! You met Janick? Very cool. He often gets a lot of stick from some Maiden fans, but I think he's great. A good friend of ours, Colin Towns used to play with Janick when he was in Gillan. The Cherry Bar sounds great, totally my kinda place, would love to visit there one day. Yeah, it's interesting about some Iron Maiden fans snobbery against Bruce's solo work. I have to admit, I'm not massively familiar with a lot of it. I got Tattooed Millionaire when it first came out and liked that, but once Bruce left Maiden, that was kinda around the time I started listening to other styles of music for a while, so didn't listen to a huge amount of rock or metal then, so missed out on a few of Bruce's solo releases. I'm only really starting to catch up on them and to be honest, there's still a couple of Iron Maiden albums (Dance of Death, Matter of Life and Death and Final Frontier) that I'm not massively familiar with, so I need to sort that out. I can totally relate to what you say about band t-shirts haha, Rach hates it when I keep buying new t-shirts from gigs haha. Thanks again as always, it's always appreciated. Cheers x
@@PostcardAndAPint yes I know some people don’t accept Janick but I like him for sure, when Maiden were touring with Blaze my mate Phil was going to all the gigs and they asked him if he would do the merch stand so of course he said yes 😊

Loved your story, Wills, about meeting Bruce. I used to attend a lot of film and TV conventions, so I got very used to making a tit of myself in front of famous people - not that I think you did, because everyone knows what these things can be like, but I sympathise with how it feels. I think it's the desk that makes people lose it - it feels a bit like you're back at school, in front of teacher. 😄
