that audience singing chris' part is amazing
LxPxRxPunk well made me cry
Mejdenka Hearing the audience sing the chorus, is so chilling, gives me goosebumps. Thank u Corey for playing this & the audience for participating, all the more to show the love &I respect for another fallen legend 🤘🏼🤘🏼
i cried too brother, true legends never die
Totally made me cry my eyes out.
7 or 8 years ago i saw Chris Cornell at a Projekt Revolution show and he sang a duet of this with Chester Bennington. I thought that was a powerful fucking song. This beats that hands down with the crowd. Tugs right on the feels.
Chris was a legend. One of the greatest artists of all time for sure.
R.I.P
Corey is a class act great tribute to a fallen legend
Well said!
he is a class act :)
to a legend... nada mas...
I guess just an unfair snap judgement, but I never thought much of him aside from a decent agro/vocalist/band when I am busting ass or getting wasted! I stand corrected, New found respect, Earned, Top props! Have to echo what you all have said as it just straight up applies, Class Act!!! Great Performance!
I never liked Corey within Slipknot. But when you actually hear him outside of that band, and does actual singing, he's underrated.
My opinion {none have to agree}, Corey could of been a grunge icon if he would of been active back then.
God idk if I could have sang Chris' part being in that crowd, just hearing them sing it made me wanna tear up. That was amazing. Much respect for Corey really getting into honoring a fallen vocalist.
Dead Es well said my friend
I was in that crowd last night. It was a touching, chilling and breathtaking moment...
Classy man
It definitely made me tear up hitting those notes with 10,000 people all in arms remebering a legend.
Dead Es no singers death has ever had this impact on me. everytime I try singing temple or sg I end up in tears. rip chris cornell the greatest voice in rock for me.
3:56 chris cornell comes out to help corey taylor hit those high notes which was fucking amazing!
HEDWIG ETCETERA omg I heard it!!
he was right there with him.
I still cant believe he is gone. This is a great tribute.
Me too. I really cant believe he's gone... (speechless)
Wayne E was at work when I got a phone call from my brother at 7 in the morning to tell me he passed away, stood there shocked, had tears in my eyes, didn't want to believe it...
Wayne E I saw it on the internet and chalked it up as a hoax at first because I watched some of his concert the night before on a friend's Snapchat story. Then when it came on the news while i was getting ready for work I died inside. I couldnt cry at a funeral last fall but I definitely shed a tear for Chris.
That guitar tone is gorgeous
outstanding cover.
shawn murphy why? I don't know anything about guitars
R. Alfaro listen to the damn guitar it sounds good
Oh my God I lost it when the crowd started singing.Chris my brother I hope you are no longer in pain Rip you were one of the best.
I've never really listened to much of soundgarden or any Chris Cornell's bands but the respect he is getting from everyone in the rock community is absolutely amazing. Rip Chris.
AG PeXo Euphoria Morning. You will love it. Soundgarden might take some time getting used to.
Rutwick Gangurde Thanks for the recommendation, will definitely check that out .
he's right, it grew on me slowly, but once it's there, it's timeless. I was a huge gnr fan, metallica megadeth pantera etc.. but even to this day, i can go through soundgarden albums and not get fed up. if i had to travel through space, i'd take a soundgarden mix with me
Definitely check out his Catalogue, the debut Audioslave album is one of my personal favourites! Listed to that masterpiece all the time bro

Hi, but late, but try the album Temple of the Dog, which this song comes from, one of my favourite albums of all time
Beautiful song. Respect for Corey and amazing performance. Rest in peace, Chris!
amazing performance
I got chills hearing the audience sing chrises part, The beauty and power of music when things like this just happen. RIP Chris cornell gone to soon never forgotten
Corey has to be one of the most underrated musicians of this era ....what an amazing tribute
Thanks Corey Taylor, you always pull through in honoring our fallen Legends of the 90's and you do it perfectly! We all miss you much Cris Cornell and thanks for the upload!
Damn, hearing the audience fill in for Chris is killing me. Such a touching tribute...
Thank you Mr. Copeland. #RIPChrisCornell
So much chills. The crowd singing Chris' part. Unbelievable. Don't think I've given Corey Taylor enough respect.
It's like Chris' spirit is singing through the crown. So beautiful.
this is awesome. its a tragedy that this greatly respected band was not able to do the headline performance they were scheduled to do. I wondered, if they had sound garden scheduled to play this show tonight. what will they do to compensate for such a irreplaceable performance? I'm glad they took it in the right direction and didn't just replace sound garden. they celebrated a very talented and inspiring man that changed the world. rip chris cornell. your voice and musical ability was an incomparable and amazing thing.
It was Rock on the Range, and they were supposed to headline last night. All the bands scheduled on the main stage made sure they did something to remember him.
Yeah. I kno. If you really read my comment I was talking about exactly that
this men deserve a statue
This men?
stfu, you know what he means. Do you speak a second language?
stfu, you know what he means. Do you speak a second language?
catsy26 what a lovely person
They need a statue of Layne, Kurt, and Chris together in Seattle.
honestly, i cried for him because ive been a huge fan of chris since 90's and his songs were such a stress reliever like a drug. he had no idea how much he means to me and now, he is gone.😧😧..im crying again and it really breaks my heart..😥😥..can someone pls..check on Eddie vedder 24/7, i dont want to see him the same fate with other great grunge artists because it's too much already..
Let's all stay strong
I don't think Vedder is in any trouble.
TheRubberStudiosASMR Chris wasn't in trouble either.
Heartless much, Ordinarial?
danman6669 Did I say so? I am big fan of audioslave. When RubberStudios commented that "Wedder isn't in trouble" I just meant that vedder could die unexpectedly like chris.
Got me right in the feels. What a great tribute. I have that lump in my throat like I'm about to cry.
I'm going hungry yeahhhhhhhh! Love you Chris Cornell!
Intense! I wonder how Eddie feels knowing he's all that's left? Gotta be heavy on his heart.
we still got Cantrell as well
Earlier that day I got a call that my nana passed from cancer.. (Felt like a beautifully sad allegory with the Chris Cornell tribute) During this tribute that night I was balling like a child. Will always remember this year's rock on the range.
Damn! That made me tear up again. Great performance by Corey, and the crowd
Damn; Corey is honoring Chris a ton with all of these songs. Rest In Peace!
just beautiful.
thank u for the upload
This song just makes me imagine Chris smiling slightly, in peace. RIP Chris, you were a beautiful human being.
temple of the dog will never be the same without Chris,Say hello to heaven Sir Chris Cornell... :(
I'm not crying.... You're crying! we'll miss you more than you know Chris. 😞💕🙏🎼
I was privileged to be one of those fans. It was truly amazing.
Thankful to be there to honor his memory, and the crowd poured out their hearts that night. GodSpeed Chris, you meant more to generations of people than you could ever know!
I can't and will never get over his death. Such a huge blow to the gut.
"Can you feel it up there?" Shit, this is sad.
Thanks so much for sharing this. I live in northern California now but, I'm from Columbus. i lived for many years right down Hudson St. I dated a girl that lived on Beulah Rd. yea, a few blocks from where this was recorded. This music always meant a lot to us back then. It brings back a lot of great memories of that time in this part of Columbus. It looks like Columbus became a very special place for people to pay tribute to such an amazing artist.
July 3rd, 1996 Buckeye Lake Music Center Metallica with Soundgarden. That crowd went 'effin nuts when Soundgarden blasted onstage with "Spoonman"! I was right down front and it was constant crowd surfers overhead! Wow! Chris Cornell was so awesome back then. That crowd was huge but, he held them in the palm of his hand.
Anyone going to the Metallica show on Sunday, yell extra loud for me will ya!?
RIP Chris!!!!! everyone down here still knows and cherishes everything you did for the music industry!!!! Keep on Rocking!!!!!! \m/
Idgaf, if this didn't at the very least give you goosebumps then, you have no heart and soul for rock and roll!!! What an amazing fallen Legend being payed tribute to by a living Legend!! May you rest in the paradise you envisioned for yourself while you were here! Much love Mr. Cornell you WILL be missed!!!!
I am still not able to believe that he is no more :-(
rip Chris!
one of the legend!
i cant believe he is gone. we are almost the same age and i literally grew up through the late 80's and early 90's with Chris and SG...and i have never let them go. Thank god Eddie is still around
Corey Taylor can fucking sing and he did an amazing job to Chris Cornell's tribute and singing his music. RIP Chris Cornell. Never thought I would get emotional listening to all these musicians paying tribute to an amazing and talented singer/songwriter. Chris Cornell you will be missed, your music will live on... T.T
We've lost many music icons over the years, but I must say that the amount of love and sorrow, expressed by people around the world in reaction to Chris' death, is absolutely phenomenal. The outpouring of grief and shock from fans, the media, and especially fellow singers and musicians, is a testament not only to his talents, but to his character as well. So many fans have expressed their gratitude for his inspiration, and for his music getting them through some very dark times in their lives. The musical tributes from his peers, in respect and admiration for one of the nicest people in the business, is overwhelming. It will take awhile, but I intend to watch every single one of them. RIP Chris Cornell. You stood among giants, and towered above them.
I needed this so much..
