- so unfortunately my coolerworx shifter broke on a recent trackday. coolerworx quickly sent me the replacement parts that are an updated design for the fiesta st. This video serves not as a bashing of coolerworx but i filmed it so that if you experience the same you will know how to repair yours.

I like the way you adjusted the mech so that the balljoint was'nt under pressure.As already mentioned,I hope the replacement parts were free!!!

I think that will break again. There is a large force on that ball joint, especially in the heat of a race and aggressive gear changes.
I always come away having watched your videos Steve feeling educated. I've contacted a few of these gear lever/linkage companies and naturally none make one for my old car, but I'm toying with the idea of "adapting" one to fit my car. So this video was helpful, cheers.

How does it feel driving now with the redesigned boomerang? For the part that broke, that really should be one solid part, not a ball end that screws into an extension. Be nice to get a stronger one made.

Hello. I have had my shifter for a year now and I can't get into 1st and 5th. Could you tell me what needs adjusting please
Putting coolerworx to shame with some zip ties 👌👌 Also could you put a none armrest console from a poverty spec fez in to get round the shift issue?
I could but it's really handy for keeping things in. Il just put elbow pads on 🤣

since u didn't show on video, is locking the shifter cable is easier for the install ?
I did not lock the shifter cables.
What went flying off at 09:31 when you press the ball joint in?
Nothing. Can only assume its dust particles catching some light in the camera

Updated design of replacement parts - so a design problem, not a manufacturing quality issue ??
I think it's a design fault yes.
Where can I get my hands on that accelerator pedal?
I got the full set yrs ago off a mate but similar can be bought off ebay.
Is this a common think to happen
On the early versions it was but I don't think so with the updated ones.

Not this soon and because it’s made for track use it should be able to cope with some hard shifting.

Yes they were replaced for free. I had one of the earliest designs so the newer models are all updated.

Shocking quality for what they cost. Clearly not been designed right and/or cheaply (Chinese?) made.
Have to agree with this, this is straight up cheap materials being used. Those ball linkages should never snap. I would send it back and ask for a refund, i mean he hasn't had it long at all either.
