All sample shots are handheld, as a test for IBIS.
Despite the flaws in stills department, I still enjoyed shooting photos with it very much, thanks to the ergonomics and compact size, also it's my first choice to vlog with, same reason as filming tennis videos, it's cheap, rugged, less of a worry.
Shooting V-log 1080p video in low light introduces quite a bit noise, using non v-log profiles get you much cleaner footage.
Hope this review has been helpful!

Non-negative review about my favourite Lumix camera? Nice. I agree about the grip! It was also the first camera to get Live View Composite.

My G95 experience. Auto Focus, CAF and IBIS seem to interfere with each other causing wobbly, wonky, pulsing, in video. For video, I get best performance, Manual Focus only, with IBIS on. G95 is very particular to which lenses provide best performance. G95 not a bad camera, just keep it in Manual Focus. For stills, I have to lock the AF to the subject on the screen. So again, the G95 is best in MF Manual Focus. I learned a lot from this camera.

when i was using GH5 i always focus then lock AF for video, G95 honestly feels better than GH5, haven't seen more pulsing than i already expected, having used other lumix DFD cameras.

greetings mate. excellent review. I have both the G95 and G85, 7Artisan F0.95 35mm, Lumix 9mm f1.7 and the kit 12-50. (plz feel free to see some of my footage on my channel), in daylight and with tons of light sources the image in 4K looks really good with both cameras, but im yet to figure out how to record those cinematic talking heads that I see everywhere here, so sad mate! looks like webcam, ive tried every possible thing, always looks really grainy in lower light..suggestions welcome! thx again!!

@RicPuzzles your videos look great! Which lens do you shoot your talking head videos with? 7artisan 35mm f0.95 gives you more bokek, would look more "cinematic" but third party manual lenses usually dont have as good contrast as native lenses, the color might come out a bit dull. Lumix 9mm f1.7 sounds great for talking head if you want to incorporate a lot background(whats in the studio) in the shot. Kit 12-60 probably wont give you much bokeh and therefore not "cinematic". Get sufficient lighting in studio to improve image quality since those cameras are not really great recording low light. Your videos look great already, dont sweat over it, over time you will improve them

Why didnt' i get the GH5 then? well.. you see, i sold my GH5 a couple of years ago and i didnt' want to get the same camera again, might as well try a new camera! plus G95 is lighter and seemed a fun camera to test! : p
If i never sold GH5 in the first place i wouldn't have had the need to get the G95 today, GH5 literally does everything G95 does and better (except no built in V-log profile). 😝

Gosh, it does look huge for a M 4/3rds cam.

It’s good to learn how to take photographs before complaining about a camera that doesn't focus on cats … ;)

i was testing the continuous autofocus on moving subject, and it does not perform nearly as well as more premium model cameras, which part of this doesn't compute for you?
