    I've been using the entire Eleven set for about 3 months. I'm about 5 strokes down and am having a blast playing again. I actually love looking down on them, confident that I'm going to hit it well. Buying these clubs is the best golf decision I've made in years.

    Thanks for reviewing this new club, I like the way you explain things. However, here is the main criticism I have of reviewers like you. You are an accomplished golfer. You are very skilled at striking the ball with probably any club you pick up. What would make your review more valid for the weekend duffers like me, who make up the vast majority of golfers on this planet, the ones these clubs are actually made for, is for you to sponsor some weekend duffers and let them hit the Elevens and provide a review. Then I would feel more confident that these clubs would make golf more fun for me.

    @philrutherford6486 8 месяцев назад +1

    Bernie, unless you're reviewing these clubs for other professional golfers, you reviewing these clubs for weekend duffers like me is of very little value, and here's why. As accomplished a golfer as you could probably hit a ball 200 yards with a garage door. These clubs are made primarily for weekend golfers like me and should be reviewed by weekend golfers, not a pro like you. I don't know if they'd be good for me because I can't hit the ball nearly as well as you.

    • @berniebarnesgolf
      @berniebarnesgolf  8 месяцев назад

      Unfortunately no review is that useful and I would never buy anything without being fitted by a PGA professional. I can only give my opinion and if those watching are interested then they can try them for themselves Phil.

    Send them up for my dad to test. He’s a traditionalist who at 76 needs a buggy to get round but still things he hits a 7i 155 yds when it’s more like 100.
    I convinced him to put in TM Burner 2.0’s in the bag several 10 years ago to replace Petron GS (custom fitted), he thought he’d paid through the nose for!

    I've got a 7 wood, 4 Hybrid & 3 Iron that are all at 21 degrees and I interchange them depending on the conditions I'm playing in. No doubt these clubs are targeted at senior players but could be a useful addition to the average golfers set as an alternative.

    Interesting and well thought out review - these type of clubs are the future for lots of golfers and will enable them to continue playing enjoyable golf as we age and slow down. Currently my longest iron is a 6 iron, but can see more hybrid type clubs slipping into the bag as I age.

    Those clubs are absolutely perfect for their target audience!! I couldn’t use them for anything less than a 5 I’d say, but for slower swing speeds or people learning the game, or people who play but have struggled with various things (we’ve all done that!), they’re great! Why would you consider buying these clubs based on how a professional hits them? Do you have any idea how a weekend golfer can hit them? Pros can make any club look good, what I want to know is how a golfer at my level can hit them and if they will help my game.

    Clubs like these would definitely help golfers, like a few of my mates, who have lost club speed and, as a result, hit very low shots with most of their clubs. It's tough for them to gauge distances, because their shots can go farther after they land than they do in the air.

    • @berniebarnesgolf
      @berniebarnesgolf  10 месяцев назад +1

      Totally agree! Maybe not a full set but by having 3 maybe 4 of them in the bag would benefit most ageing golfers Howie.

    • @philrutherford6486
      @philrutherford6486 8 месяцев назад

      How do you know these clubs would help your mates? When you have a professional golfer reviewing them, you learn nothing about how your weekend duffer friends would handle them. Lester can hit a ball 200 yards with a garbage can, so he's making these "duffer" clubs look fantastic. He needs to have weekend players review them.

    • @yadthink
      @yadthink 8 месяцев назад

      @@philrutherford6486 These clubs would help my mates because, by design, they have more sole weighting (lower centers of gravity), which would produce higher launch angles and longer carry distances.
