Thanks for this upload. I remember playing this version in 1994 in some arcade. A couple of years later i replayed it only to find that the main theme was changed plus the invisibility theme had too. Looked for it on mame about 14 years ago then just gave up. Saturn and ps one followed later versions of this arcade game. Well music wise
So much difference compared to the final version. Kinda wished they actually keep the bb1 theme for the game alongside the original theme. The game just starts off displaying all characters instead of the game name. Kind of weird when you think about that considering the game looks like it had completed its development
No boss tunes or final boss in this one either, but it indeed does whip the pants off the PS1 prototype, which amazingly is 1 stage short of the complete game. Thankfully in this day and age I have versions of Bubble Symphony (Saturn and PS2 Japan Taito Memories II Joukan) and Bubble Memories (PS2 Japan Taito Memories II Gekan) that I no longer have to rely on in MAME unless I feel too lazy to fire up the PS2.
So lifeless compared to the final product, but it paved the way for the awesome Bubble Symphony finished product we got in the end. I'm wandering if Bubble Memories also got a prototype out there. Sounds on this one are so different, no opening demo story of what the game is about, music is definitely placeholder (this tune is hidden in the game, along with a classic mode, which is the same stages minus backgrounds. The backgrounds are like the original game, black).

tbh I prefer this main theme to the original (Thats just because I love the original Bubble Bobble)
