At 6:26 you can see that all of crybaby's friends, angelita, magnolia, etc. are the only ones not doing the 'wa wa' thing which hints at her befriending them later on in the film

a fun fact is that at classfight when kelly threw the paper to crybaby it said “you at recess” but she didn’t die at Recess TIME but at the end there’s a song called RECESS that stands for 12th grade and at the end she died and her recent album she’s dead sooo

Melanie is using K-12 as an analogy to real life so she is not necessarily talking about children but using them to convey her message (example with the "liberty and justice for all" at 19:30 or later on the principle talking about the president for example or strawberry shortcake touching on the subject of sexual harassment, victim blaming, sexism, etc. ). I am curious if there is a reason that the cry baby era was skipped since it tackles a lot of very interesting subjects (there are some videos on youtube that have the videos in order) while fleshing out the Crybaby character.
We don’t know what we are doing, so it’s all out of order😊

@@elisakrivasCrybaby album came out a long time ago and it’s filled to the brim with lore. Though it is understandable that some just know about the second album and her movie.
@@AshieASMR I know that. I've been a fan since 2015. A spoiler means telling something about a story or entertainment media that a person may have wanted to discover and experience for themselves rather than be told what happens. The age of something doesn't matter because not everyone has seen all Melanie content. Spoilers are not respectful of other people who may not know. I said this was a spoiler, not that her content is new or old.
Example: My favorite anime is Inuyasha. I wasn't allowed to watch anime as a child. My first time watching Inuyasha was 3 years ago. Obviously, the show is MUCH older than that. If someone had told me anything that happens in Inuyasha 4 years ago, it would've been a spoiler for me because I hadn't seen it, even though Inuyasha was an older anime.
On this channel, Melanie is new to him. Saying anything would therefore be a spoiler. Yes, her music has been around for several years, but she's new for some people.
The way she did everything for this song, she fully produced it herself on her own.
I never noticed she said “I bet she has them in her bra” at the beginning it’s referencing “mrs potato head” mv

the pledge of allegiance scene freaks me out a little now
In senior year i would sometimes sit or stand (usually sit) during the pledge. one time i just automatically stood and put my hand to my chest not even thinking or realizing i moved, just from hearing it. I remember just standing there wide eyed cause i couldnt believe what I'd just done. i felt actual fear for a moment.
There was another time when i sat down and the kid behind me said something about me being so disrespectful. Its my personal choice if i want to sit and reject my pledge, that i wasnt told the meaning of and was taught to do it ever since i was 5.

@@Melanie_Editor222 They’re not scared of standing. I think has more so do with the pledge itself and how hypocritical it is. Like one part is “Liberty and Justice for all” but that’s a lie, because some people aren’t free(liberty) among other things. That’s just my input on it tho
@@Melanie_Editor222 Maybe because they realized they had just involuntarily and subconsciously stood up almost like we're brainwashed by the pledge at a certain point like muscle memory... but it feels more like we stand for the pledge in sort of like this brainwashed state...

If you didn't already know, each song represents a grade from kindergarten (Wheels on the Bus) to 12th grade (Recess) in the order they are played. It's pretty cool that melanie did all of this for one album and worked every song into the story perfectly. I'm excited to see the next part of the story in portals!

I have watched k-12 so many times since I grew up with Melanie Martinez and I loved how I get a different pov from the movie
I have always loved Melanie Martinez. They're music helped me through so much trauma because I've related to the entire storyline so much. They've helped me feel like I actually had a place in this world, and I actually belong. I had the amazing chance to finally see her in concert for my birthday last week. My therapist ghosted me so I just watched and listened to Melanie and it helped me through it 😂😅 but she's amazing
I have also got the courage to start doing things I want to do despite what people around me say because of Melanie, and I started sewing and I ended up making my own k-12 dress for the concert, but I've always hated the gender separation like how women are meant to be this way, so I decided to make my dress blue and add stars just like Melanie did but she did purple and flowers
Okay as a crybaby myself, just to give you a little more insight I want to tell you that her father is actually dead her mother killed him and some of the second verse was written from Kelly's POV the only part that I think was written in crybabies POV is "Mommy why do I feel sad" and the rest of the second verse is Kelly's POV

When I first watched this and I saw the bus drop in the ocean I said “well that was a really quick movie”😃
Class fight really hits home cause recently a girl was spreading rumors about me (something like that I like to watch porn, which is very dangerous at my school because there are a shit on of creeps, hell there’s a guy who has sexually assaulted and harassed a lot of girls). I got fed up with her and told her that if she said anything else about me I’d kill her (I’m very extreme) she laughed at me and said ‘as if’ so I stood up and choked her for a good 3 seconds before realizing what I did and left the classroom. I was so panicked and ashamed that I went to the third floor and was about to jump from the balcony thingy. I was suspended for attacking her, nothing happened to her about her spreading those rumors. (I wanted to apologize but she was in the nurse’s office getting checked out (there was no damage done, not even a single mark or bit of redness).
I was the top student of my class but I have a lot of mental health issues and get panic attacks easily so I often cry at school. The principal said that if I broke a single rule again I would be expelled so I dropped out and am now doing online school…
In the start of the movie, she in the first year of middle school, and in the end she is in high school

I just want to speak on 20:40. I dont know if it's because you didn't want to say something racist but it's not. The kid is black and when he says "liberty and justice for all is fake" he means it. Even though we abolished slavery, segregation, and all have rights black people, and just colored people in general are still mistreated. You can see that when they say to "put him in the hold" (jail) even though he didnt do anything. That also has to do with free speech and freedom of religion. We dont have to say the pledge in school, its our 1st amendment right, but a lot of teachers will still make you stand, or write you up for "misbehaving" and "being disobedient." The whole school system is truly a mess. Teachers hate their jobs and students hate school because the teachers are rude, lazy, and suckey since they were stuck being a teacher instead of doing a job they actually enjoy.

When i first got to kindergarten i tried my best to fit in changing my personality etc because i was bullied by the daughter's of my neighbors and i always cry going home but i have this one friend but she changed sides with my bully which she started bullying me thats when i realized if you want to be loved then you have to play along with people and if you don't wanna be miss treated i have to be in their side so i won't be an outcast and i stared bullying my classmates who me and my group of friends called "weird" but now i realized how wrong i was and how much i effected those people i bullied.
