Princess Alexander DON’T get me wrong the costume design, set, and aesthetic is amazing but there is barely any plot/conflict, character development, or storyline in this. Also, to me the songs sound bland and similar to each other other than a few exceptions. This is definitely a downgrade from Cry Baby which I LOVE THAT ALBUM. However, I respect your opinion.

JoeyIsRandom : yeah i get that, but also it is more of a compilation of music videos more than a movie. it’s a connection of the songs in a creative and personal way to her. most of these people are not actors but more singers/models. also since each song takes place in the next year, there is obviously big gaps since it’s months later. whether or not you like the songs is preference but personally i enjoyed them and it was aesthetically pleasing enough to keep me entertained throughout the entire movie; twice even. (which most movies fail to accomplish.) although the plot might not be completely clear, i am sure everyone can relate to at least one component or character in this production. yes, the speaking parts are a bit cliché and cringe, but i am sure that there are tons of sad teens out there crying while watching this who feel like they are alone; and these few meaningful speeches sound like they are meant for them and that could change someone’s mood, day, or even life. so yes, the few seconds of awkward dialogue can be slightly annoying, but trust me i am sure at least someone out there was positively affected by it. anyway, is she likes what she produced and how she did it, who are we to bash her on being her best self and sending positive, empowering messages to her audience. now, i was never really into her music all that much until i saw this video and i am sure i will be listening to a lot more of her in the near future! :)

I cried so many times in this film I love that she makes it free and she doesn’t care about money she just wants to spread awareness and she’s amazing at singing

i remember five years ago thinking that i wouldnt be able to watch the k-12 movie for free but here it is five years later i still remember loving it then and i still love it now
I basically grew up listening to Melanie. The first time I heard her music was when I was probably around 12 or 13. Which was her first release, pity party. I’m now 20 and still love her sm. I’m so happy to see her grow throughout her music career. And how in-depth the story has become within her new album Portals. She truly has shaped my childhood with her music. I always come back to this to really appreciate the amount of work and dedication she puts into her music. It’s hard to find people who actually have originality.
Rewatching this after a year and I can finally appreciate how this did something that many mainstream movies cant say they have done: discuss social issues without having them be the whole point of the movie. Not to mention that the songs, score, acting, choreography and costumes and absolutely phenomenal

Tonight, i have watched this movie for my 5th time. Ive been a mel fan for about a year now. Discorvered her one day. First song i ever listened to was crybaby. At this time, i was extremely suicidal and struggling with mental health. Now a year later, im who i want to be, happier than ever, and none of this wouldnt have happened if not for a few songs. Thank you, Melanie, you changed my life and now i can sit in my bed, eating a box of chocolates, knowing i have a bright and beautiful future.

I love how aside from Melanie writing and directing a movie, making it realistic (trabsphobia, ed’s, bullying, etc), she made it free. I cant believe it came out 2 years ago!! I feel like it was yesterday of me waiting 8 hours to get home and wait for it to come out! Great movie, all the songs have been replaying in my head for as long as I can remember. I enjoy the fact that her songs are very relatable. First time I heard orange juice I cried, I just heavily related to it. What really got me was when she said ‘The way you look is not an issue’ and ‘Your body is imperfectly perfect
