- Dan Explains It All about the Old Blood Noise Endeavors Alpha Haunt. The Alpha Haunt Fuzz-an expansion of the OBNE Haunt Fuzz-allows for even more control and nuance with a Fuzz Range toggle, Master Volume, Enhance, Fuzz Volume, Gate, Bias, Tone Control via a Low Pass Filter, and 3-Band EQ section. But Dan explains all of that. Let him enlighten you.
The Alpha Haunt is available now for $229 at oldbloodnoise.com and retailers around the world.

Here’s a fun game. Take a shot every time somebody in the background flips their hat around. You’ll be hammered by the end of this video.
Side note: I just ordered this pedal and I can’t wait to try it out.
So you're saying the shots game worked?
It 100% worked, and this pedal is incredible. Its the fuzz my board has been waiting for.
I guess im asking the wrong place but does anybody know a way to get back into an Instagram account..?
I was stupid forgot my login password. I would appreciate any help you can offer me.
@Gordon Eli instablaster =)
Great demo Dan, the guy in the yellow hat was killin me, this is why I knew I was on the right path and snapped one of these up. Please keep on doing what you guys do, great sounding stuff.
That rules Bryon, thanks very much
I bought this bad boy (#40 something) and I can’t say enough good things about it. Variety for days. Reacts amazing with guitar volume.
I just watched the JHS show about OBNE. This pedal is now on my list (the new version, obviously).
Just ordered mine! Cant wait ❤❤❤
Mine just arrived yesterday, #225 (or perhaps I'm reading it wrong, so it's 125). Only had an hour or so to fool around, but it's already clear that this will replace a few of my other pedals. Such an organic and living sound, a pedal with an internal struggle! Quite a learning curve cause the knobs are interactive. The pedal and artwork looks even better in real life than on pictures/videos, gold finishes can look tacky, but not this one. Black knobs with black lines are hard to read, but I like them because they don't draw attention away from the artwork. Mine has different sliders from this video, but they look and work great. This is my first OBNE pedal, but it won't be my last! Great work, guys!
Glad to hear it, send us some clips.
The ultimate Fuzz pedal! If a future version would have a controllable low octave, and high octave, if would be the only fuzz pedal you'd ever need!
great video
Okay, convinced! Will order mine ASAP and teach the neighbors some quality fuzz sounds!
now that's what we like to hear
Super thorough demo, Dan! Thanks! Also the vocals lay over the vocals really nicely. What mic are you using?
I need one so bad
Came back just to say I bought this pedal and let me tell you: it is the best fuzz I've ever played.
Good demo, but you should use one of those bob barker microphones. You know the one I’m talking about, it looks like a silver gum ball on the end of a stick.
I'm glad I looked this up cause I wanted to see how this sounded on low fuzz settings. I like to use fuzz as kind of a hairy overdrive that I can stack with another overdrive and vary the gain with the volume on my guitar. So it's cool to see that it can do those tonebender-ish type sounds so hopefully as I roll my volume down I can get the cleanup i love! Either way, it looks like an immensely powerful pedal!
yes you can do that
@@oldbloodnoise I just got mine in: works like a charm! Roll off my volume and it stacks perfectly with my overdrive. Just adds some hair. And the EQ is awesome cause I can dial the bass in how I want instead of just a bass cut switch. This fuzz absolutely SLAYS
Could somebody explain me the differences between alpha haunt and haunt pedal, it seems to me that the alpha just has more options to choose from but its not only more knobs some of them appear to be completely different thats why I wonder if you could have all the sounds of the haunt + some more with the alpha?
I have this pedal and my friend has the original haunt and it’s kind of like the difference between a bicycle with training wheels and a bicycle without training wheels. It can do everything a bicycle with training wheels can and also quite a bit more. You can make it sound exactly like the original haunt or you can make it something completely new and something the original haunt cant. It’s truly an extremely versatile pedal and I don’t think any other fuzz on the market beats it
Love it, just ordered. The clean attack just sounds so gritty. Is there a way to save a setting to memory like a preset and be able to quick switch?
no there is not a way to save presets
@@oldbloodnoise Thanks for reply! No worries, I'll just buy a second one haha
Make this with the EXCESS DISTORTION CHORUS/DELAY please
The Excess Technical Demo is actually what the Dan Explains it All series was born out of. ruclips.net/video/csQCztXuvtg/видео.html
weirdly enough I use this thing as my "clean but glitched" tone if that makes any sense. nothing ever does.
Legend has it that to this very day the yellow hat continues to turn. Some believe the yellow hat posseses divine wisdom and power (akin to Optimus Prime)
What is that vocal microphone? It sounds terrific.
agreed
that dude must've flipped his hat around at least 20 times during this vid
at least.
Great demo, but I must say I wanted to hear some bass through it as well

@@oldbloodnoise Does the Alpha Haunt work best on Guitar or bass? Or is it designed equally for both? Also, when the gate and bias controls are turned all the way up (to the right) is the signal clean with no sound when a string isn't being played?
Does the tone bypass setting on the switch bypass the 3 band slider EQ?
Nope! It bypasses the LPF knob.
Thanks @@oldbloodnoise
You got it, friend!
True bypass?
Really want to sell my Fuzz Factory to buy one of these. Spent like 3 years with that pedal and I still have no clue what the fuck I'm doing with it.
Anyone got noise issues with their pedal? Mine makes this high pitched hum that gets louder as i increase volumes, gate etc. Quite annoying.
Shoot us an email at contact@oldbloodnoise.com, that's not inherent to the design of the pedal.
Enhance
ENHANCE PIXELS
But does it DOOM?!
indubitably
WTF is with Hat Dude in the background? Wear it or take it off, bro. You're gonna scrape all the hair off your head if you keep playing with it.
it's like they all have itchy heads or something
@@oldbloodnoise got my alpha haunt in the mail the other day. Awesome new toy.
Stop noodling on yer guitar when its volume is draining out the voice that’s explaining the pedal. I literally had to put the sound off and the subtitles on to be able to follow the explanation cuz of this annoying guitar noodling. We aren’t all native speakers you know.
That's valuable input, thank you.
