I am 70 years old and live by myself. About a year-and-a-half ago I bought the instant pot 6 quart. I was tired of having to babysit my pressure cooker on the stove. It is so easy to make just about anything! I really think an instant pot is a necessity! I like mashed potatoes, pulled pork, baby back ribs, boiled eggs and chicken thighs to name a few. The stainless steel liner is so easy to clean. Mine looks just like it did when it came out of the box.

I live alone, and I bought an 8-quart. I've been watching a large family channel, and it gave me the idea of creating TV dinners with leftovers.

I love my instant pot it is the best thing ever, it saves me time and like you said, you can walk away. I'm disabled and can't stand for too long, so this is a great help for me. I love to make soups, stews and I have used it to make stir fry's. I am still new to making meals in the pot, but I'm getting there. I have just started to us the steam button for my leftovers and I have to learn the times on things. As for using electricity it has taken my bill down, so that in it self is a great saving. Thank you so much for sharing your videos, love and blessing to you all from Scotland :)

I love my 6 qt Instant Pot! My favorite is making beef stew with 3 chopped carrots, 4 quartered potatoes, 1 onion, 4 crushed garlic cloves and a 1 1/2 lbs of. stew meat with 1 cup of beef broth and a quarter cup of red wine, seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. 25 minutes at pressure and ready to serve a dinner for 4! Thanks for your videos-they are very helpful.

I love my Insta pot. I would be lost without it.
I love making refried beans and I do a roast in and make burritos. I got a 9 at. Pot.
Fresh farm eggs are so easy to peel shells unlike the stove to. I do a dozen at a time. Could do more if needed.
Make yogurt so much cheaper than the store. Plus you control the ingredients and no preservatives or chemicals.
I love steamed veggies like broccoli so fresh and fast. No more frozen mush lol.

I am completely sold on the Instant Pot. I use mine almost every day. I blew my daughter's mind yesterday with the creamy chicken pasta recipe. Really, 5 minutes to cook! The whole recipe took 20 minutes. The grandkids gobbled it up and Carson even asked for a 2nd helping. That never happens. I'm dying to try the Starbuck's egg bites recipe, but I think I need to cut up my silicone muffin pan to make that work. Also note: IP's customer service is TOP SHELF. I had a problem with my lid a few months ago, and they actually replaced my whole unit. Easy to work with and they are a company that still believes in REAL customer service. I'm totes impressed.

I’m moving out of town, into the woods and downsizing. I happily live alone. I’m a terrible cook, I hate to cook, I love take out. I’m a terrible cook mostly bc it takes too much time and too much tending. I’m highly distracted and I’ve screwed up more dishes than not. I started looking into the instant pot bc take out isn’t going to be handy much longer and it appears to solve my problem. I can decide what I want to eat not long before I eat it, put it together and walk away. I’ve watched several videos and I’m actually pretty excited my kids are getting me one for Christmas. Love this channel. Looking forward to more inspiration and bonding, lol, with my instant pot

I love my 6qt DUO IP! I did learn from the IP website that everything except the base can go in the dishwasher. I hand wash the SS pot though since dishwashers tend to discolor SS. I put the lid & sealing ring separately on the top rack & it works great. Thanks for all your great vids & recipes!

(I often forgot to put food in the crock pot or defrost meat so we had to go out). Fast forward one year--I use my IP at least 3 times a week! It saves me so much time and money!

Keep them coming. Sometimes I use my IP three times in one day. I will cook eggs, then dinner then rice to go with dinner. I recently went on Amazon and got the ceramic non stick liner. This was a game changer. Cooked pork chops for dinner, made sauce, then inserted other liner and made rice to go with it. Awesome!

I make different soups. I love to put a frozen beef roast in the IP and go to church, I have my vegetables cleaned and diced and put them in the pot when we get home. We are able to eat delicious meal in a few minutes after getting home. I also love to cook chili bean in my IP. It is great is a great t8e savor for me. My husband teases me about loving my pressure cooker, he doesn’t remember the name brand. I use the pressure cooker several times a week. I had another brand and I wore it out so I bought the Instant Pot, I really love it. Cooking eggs turn out great, they are so easy to peel! Well enough said, if you are thinking about buying a Pressure cooker get the IP!

💕 I'm the person who sat and researched the Instapot, Air Fryer, and Countertop Oven, and finally chose the Countertop Oven. The one that's sitting back in the box now because in the 11 or so months I had it, I used it all of 4 or 5 times. I mean it was really neat. Had a regular oven feature, convection oven feature, was large enough to cook two pizzas at the same time (I never did put that to the test) and get this: a rotisserie !! Which is really what finally persuaded me to buy it. That worked ok, but created a mess when in use. The convection feature left food dried out. I finally stopped using it altogether. And it sat taking up a 22" x 16" area of my already tight countertop for the next 8 months. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I finally got tired of the deadbeat, space-hogger & boxed it back up. Now I'm looking at the Instapots again ! 😂 So I'm going to watch video reviews on them the next few days so someone can convince me to buy one !! Your video was a great start !! Thank you !!! 😉👍🏼😊

You are in the right place for great recipes! Also join a couple of Facebook pages. Just experiment. I have yet to "ruin" anything. Seasonings are your friend. The pressure actually makes the seasonings and spices permeate the food, so be prepared. I love what it does to fire roasted tomatoes and chili powder when I make my chili. CRAZY GOOD! I just set the pressure for 30 minutes, and wow! Set if for slow cook for the rest of the day.

I LOVE my Instant Pot!! I have had it just under a month and I can honestly say it has changed my life!! I don't have enough fingers and toes to count the amount of times I have used it since purchasing (like I said, under a month). I was the slow cooker queen but it is now collecting dust on my shelf. Your videos have helped me get over my initial hesitation and now that I use it every day, my husband has even suggested I get a second larger one. Also, our favorite recipe so far is rice pudding! I make it several times a week because it is my family's favorite!

I bought a 6 qt Bella Electric Pressure Cooker a few years back and loved it. Just got the 8 qt IP during Christmas sales on Amazon...I LOVE having two of them! I love the IP and use it more times during the week than my oven/stove. Little note :: Yes they are safe as long as you put the proper amount of liquid in them. I had some old stove top pressure cookers my mom had given me and that she might have even gotten from her mother in law...I mean OLD stuff. I guess I didn't put enough liquid in, or it got too hot and it all evaporated or I didn't seal it correctly but one day *BOOM!* , blew the lid right off that sucker. Glad I wasn't in the kitchen at the time. So grateful for my electric pressure cookers now.

I do all sorts of stuff with my IP, but a couple of uses surprised me:
Reheating leftovers - Even from frozen, it's just 15 minutes at pressure. Unlike the microwave, I don't have to keep checking it.
Cooking frozen meat - I've tried this with pork chops, chicken, even a whole turkey breast and they all came out great! I don't have to remember to put them in the fridge to thaw the night before.

I have the small 3qt iPot and I love it. I had been hearing about it, saw videos on it and once I went plant based, I found a few people who were using the iPot for their meals. My first thing was pinto beans and they were the best pinto beans ever. Now, my favorite thing to make in there, you may laugh, is potatoes. I have the basket insert I use and love, pop in my cup of water, my 4 or 5 little potatoes and 4 minutes later, they are the most amazing potatoes ever - seriously! The other thing I do love to make, which I never used to make pre-iPot is applesauce. All I do is again, use the basket (like you'd use to steam veggies) insert, peel & cut apples that have been stirred up with cinnamon, put them in the basket, 2-4 minutes later, it is perfect. And this, the cup of water with the cinnamon and apple drippings, makes an amazing hot cider drink after. Thanks for sharing your dishes with people. I think when I found you, I was still eating chicken ;)

I don't have a favorite cause I enjoy everything I cook in the IP...I have a 6 quart, it's just me & my Mom but mostly just me...I have 3 other siblings..I make enough though for us that night & my lunch the next day...Is it worth it? I'm still something of a newby with the IP, 'cause I don't market for fresh foods much..yet..'cause I wrecked them far too much, and simply went with packaged foods! However, I did make the potato salad....WOW! While the eggs and potatoes were cooking, I began the dressing, and the food was ready before the dressing! lol. I still had to ice the eggs and peal the potatoes, but both chores were FAST!! I also have cooked a head of cabbage to perfection....in minutes! And, finally, corn on the cob! No more guessing, just IP'ing and plating! in minutes. Ohh, and a head of cauliflower... YUM! I'm going to be getting some meats this week. I want to do corned beef cabbage and potatoes ala St. Patrick's Day! Thank you for all your recipes, which I've saved, and encouragement...much appreciated! : )

I'm a newbie just got my 8 qt instant pot this is just what I need cos even after reading the manual it was still scary, so far all I used it for was to cook potatoes for mashing. I know a waste, right? My problem is the recipes in the book don't tell me how much liquid to use for each recipe, so was afraid Id mess them up.I intend to use your videos to learn how to use it correctly since I've wanted one for a couple of years!

I work there as well. I do all my meals in the pot. I so look forward to my cook days which are usually 3 days or so apart which gives me some time to whip up something new to make. I’m in Florida and it came to my home in Michigan. By the time I get home, I should be able to make my decision. Thank you, Nicolette

You, your channel, and the Instant Pot... awesomeness all around.
So far, the Chicken and Dumplings and the Pulled Pork are our favorites. I’m not sure, though, if it wasn’t the 2-second peeling of sweet potatoes that got the “most amazed” look on the first try.

I am researching different brands of pots and I think the IP would be exactly what I need. I am a very new below the knee amputee and I am slowly going thru my house and setting it up to accommodate my new life style and a wheelchair because it will be a while before I get a prosthetic. I cant stand at the stove for long periods of time and babysit dinner but I also want something I feel comfortable enough to set it up and roll away and tackle another chore. Thank you all for your comments recipes and tips and tricks. So should I order and if I do even though there is just him and I here together we have 7 children and 13 grandchildren so I think I should get the big one and I can freeze leftovers for lunches or meals later. Thanks everyone

I bought my second electric presure cooker my second was instapot and my favorite thing to cook is squash Ginger apple soup with onions or leeks so good you blend it up and add a little bit of cream you cook it with broth and it is so good everybody loves it in my family. I would also highly recommend buying it a instapot because it does save time and we eat at home or now like you said

The lid is not dish washer safe!!!?? Did I learn something new? Is the manual that came with the machine wrong? User Manual page 23 first dot point "All Instant Pot inner pot, pressure cooker lids, glass lids, and accessories are dishwasher safe." I hope so, because I have been placing the lid and the detached ring in the dishwasher every couple of weeks.

Not only do you need a instant pot but the Foodsaver Vacuum Sealer too They go together like peanut butter and jelly I have both and I love it

I live alone and have a 6 at IP. I make huge quantities of food at a time - freeze what I don't eat and have never used my vacuum sealer. Freezer bags work to keep food safe for long periods of time. I eat the food before they get freezer burned or spoiled. I use the vacuum sealer for when I buy large quantities of an item like 20 pounds of ground meat etc. But never for instapot cooked food.

Also if you’re home cooking food for your dog, pressure cooking is what you need to move away from kibble and store bought food! Slow cooking dog food means you’ll probably never have food ready in time to feed the animal, and with a large instant pot, enough food can be made to store! Also the yogurt option cos my dog loves yogurt and eats way more than I do :)

Short ribs is my new favorite to cook in the IP. I love my instant pot and I’ve made delicious food in it for over a year. Get the 8 quart if you have the room. I make a lot and freeze food for days when I don’t want to cook.

One of my faves is green beans. I always thought I hated frozen ones until I started cooking them in my IP. Two bags of frozen beans with sauteed butter and garlic...3 minutes on high pressure... delicious! And, chicken broth for the liquid

Love your videos. My question(s) are there recipes out there for the 3qt Instant Pot. My fear is that I will over cook food if I follow Times for the 6qt. Keep up the great work.

I like making various different kinds of pasta in my pot. I now have a 3qt, 6 qt and just recently got the Duo Crisp & Air Fryer. So I now have all three sizes and watch Ninja foodi recipes to get ideas for the air fryer since I know that the foodi and the air fryer do the same thing. I just made your Cheezy Chicken & Rice recipe today for lunch and it turned out great. That's a keeper.

I have the 6 qt Ultra. I love my IP for Bean Soup, how easy the eggs peel when cooked in the IP and for the cheesecakes and banana breads. Haven't perfected chicken yet but working on so open for your suggestions. I'm seriously considering the 3 qt for steel cut oats and items that I don't need to make in large quantities for the two of us. I have put the SS pot in the dishwasher in a pinch but it takes up so much room, so I normally just hand wash.
Thanks for all your recipes and tips. Your channel is quite helpful. I just sold my Kuhn Rikon pressure cooker that I never used on EBay and will buy more accessories with the money.

I just followed the video . Saute the 1lb of meat, add onions, spaghetti broken in half, laid all different ways, the diced tomatoes, then spaghetti sauce. Make sure all of the spaghetti is covered. We used a jar and 1/2 of sauce. We cook for 8 or 9 minutes.

I am single and I live alone. I was looking for a quick way to make healthy low sodium inexpensive meals. My 6 quart Instant Pot Duo fits that need. My favorite thing to make is a whole chicken. I dump a 4 pound chicken in it. Cover it with garlic and onion powder, dried herbs, dump in 2 cups of chicken broth. Let it pressure cook on high for 8 minutes per pound. I then just remove the steel pot, cover it with aluminum foil, and shove it in my refrigerator. I then have a quick dinner for the next few days. The left over broth makes an excellent base for vegetable soup.

Love cooking chicken pad Thai in my IP. It is a recipe that I crave. (I got it from Weinstein and Scarborough's "The Instant Pot Bible") The noodles even cook with everything else. Really, as with most recipes, its the prep that takes the most time and effort.
I also like making dals and Indian dishes. There are an increasing number of cookbooks available at the Toronto Public Library system - including several that focus on Indian cooking.
I have used a Lagostina pressure cooker for decades, but once you move up to an IP, there's no going back. So user friendly and safe. And, it was invented by a Canadian who was laid off from a tech company. He wanted to solve the problem of having to cook for this family at the end of a day at work. I can only imagine how wealthy this man is now!!! haha
