I'm a local stage hand, They just did a show at my venue this week.. Genuinely Cool guys. JB chatted us up a little as the day went on and KG made a B-line for the dock and gave rounds of high fives to all the locals.. Freakin made our week...Made my year for sure. The One band I would drop everything and roadie for.

Theres a few songs giving props to roadies, my dad was a roadie for Ozzy, Kiss, Van Halen and so many more and he succumbed to cancer in 2014, but this song will ALWAYS be the one that brings me to tears. I love the way this song builds up on emotion and just explodes in the end. Kind of invokes a The Who songwriting approach. This a timeless, great song, not a joke.

I keep coming back to this song because of how it transitions in it's tone. It starts as a tribute to a great roadie but turns into an emotional song about the pain the roadie feels.

I mean, that is just brilliant comedy, cool lyrics and performed as if it´s some biblical wisdom...cracks me up every time, the whole song is just pure brilliance and craftsmanship.

The image you get in your head from their music is *_exactly_* what they wanted you to visualize. Some of the shots from this video I *_swear_* were pulled directly out of my brain. They really "get" how the lyrics and notes are gonna come together in your mind and that's awesome.
i noticed that especially in the pick of destiny movie, like almost every song in that was visualized how i imagined, ESPECIALLY THE BEEZLEBOSS SONG, i had never seen the movie before when i heard the album and its as if i knew what everything looked like anyways

Jellycakelap Don't know where you got that from but I'm afraid it's wrong. The only songs by Tenacious D in the game's soundtrack is The Metal and Master Exploder. The song playing during the end credits is Black Sabbath's Never Say Die.
Brutal Legend was released in 2009 and Rize of the Fenix wasn't released until 2012.
It inspired a game that came out 3 years before this song ever hit the internet? Wow, it was a major inspiration.

There´s always a lot of fun and joking when Kyle and Jack are around, but at the end of the day people should not forget how extremely talented they both are and people should not forget how many great songs they have written. Personally this one is one of my favourites.

Just checked out some vids of the D from Rock Am Ring 2016. There is a short vid of them in a backstage interview, where Jack states "The clown will never where the crown." It is a reference to them not being taken seriously as musicians because of the comedy in their act. True, the industry is unable to give public recognition to a band sing about cocks, and fucking. But, this is what makes Tenacious D so popular. Everybody watching this knows that Jables, and Kyle are legendary! JB, has an incredible voice with the range of a synthesizer! I have a feeling, as they are getting older, that they would like to do a "serious" album. Jack did state during that interview they are going to do just that....a serious album. Sounds cool to me. \m/

There was a music festival setting up at a school near where I live. There was no way I was paying $50 a ticket per night for three days show, $150 was just not worth the price of admission for bands I had never heard of before. However, as the roadies were setting up I went around behind the stage, as I made my way home, and yelled out at the top of my lungs, “FUCK YEAH ROADIES!” Everyone working behind and on that stage started laughing and cheering because they knew they were the real reason that show went down. Mad respect to all roadies.

It's still amazing they wrote this. Techs and hands are the Rockstars. They do 40 hours straight to make us sound good every night and we play an hour or whatever set time that is given to us, they want it to be the best show every time.
