I wish more companies used screw-in type converters, but I imagine that adds to the cost of manufacturing. Lamy makes decent converters, but refilling the large cartridges gives you more capacity, and I don't mind doing it sometimes.

Hi, as I mentioned in the comments in your previous video, the Z28 has a narrower "neck" which increases compatibility. It works with the Safari line and not with the CP1 line as you showed here because it has a too narrow body, but it definately works with the Studio. The Studio needs the narrower neck but has the barrel wide enouch to go over the side stops, I just tested this with my first Studio that I got today. (Lx All Black)

Thanks for your informative video. It made me realize that I had the wrong converter in my pen and that is why it wasn't working!

When I first brought my Lamy, I thought that the converter was cracked due to the slit it had, glad I was wrong lol.

Try the Z28 with a Studio: it works, the barrel goes over the stops without problems. I tried it myself. EDIT: I forgot that I already made this comment some time ago, sorry for the double comment.

Good video I love LAMY pens, I am between the model, Lamy X-LX Fountain, Extra Fine and the model Lamy CP1 Matte Black Fountain Pen - Extra Fine for this model the converter would be the Z26,Which would be better to write

Probably the LX, which is basically a fancy Al-Star. The CP1 is nice but too thin for most people.

no problem, it is just a matter of time before you accidentally pick the wrong number :) Great video by the way. I didn’t knew the difference between the Z24 and Z28 before. :)
