Greetings from Scotland! No, the singers are given a song to perform and they have to do the best they can with it. Diana didn't like the choice but like a true professional she gave it 110% and I think it's great! Loved the oriental twist/vibe and the rap really worked well! Didn't she look fantastic too! This contest/show will be extremely good for Diana to experiment with songs she wouldn't normally sing. Good media exposure and a chance to make good contacts, also great experience and new friends made! Now the serious stuff - I think you should give Tim some dancing lessons maybe Vena? Good reaction video, thanks. You will notice how Diana is very modest and conservative...in her costume having flesh colored leotard covering her bare skin, especially in chest area...and in her response covering her eyes during Kirill's performance when the female dancer exposed her crotch on the piano. I am glad her wonderful adoptive mother raised her with such principles and values. These principles and values will carry Diana farther in life than anything this show will provide. Diana was definitely BORN TO PERFORM...but she does not have a "showboat" mentality like the other contestants on the show. Her modesty and conservative music style does not resonate well in this type of program environment. BUT...we all know and love her for who she is and what she brings to the world through her music and God given voice❣ 💖👍

Мне кажется, что большинство комментаторов не "видят леса из-за деревьев". Каждое хорошо продуманное шоу имеет несколько драматургических линий. Рассмотрим драматургическую линию этого шоу, связанное с Дианой. Первое выступление божественное (Рай). Второе выступление - выступление, в котором Диана (Творец) не может полностью реализовать свой божественный потенциал в силу непреодолимых внешних обстоятельств ( песня, которую ей дают и от которой она не может отказаться, она не имеет свободы выбора песни), не позволяет ей раскрыться (Ад для творца). Если принять эту внутреннюю логику этих двух выступлений, то тогда второе выступление становится очень интересным и принимает трагический драматический оттенок: визуально замечательные первые 10 секунд, когда Диана вступает в этот Ад, где бесы с рогами начинают отплясывать вокруг неё (и пляшут они замечательно) и картина принимает какой-то средневековый характер (прямо по Босху). Если это в самом деле была задумка авторов шоу, то тогда я аплодирую им и с нетерпением жду продолжение этого путешествия Творца, ожидая в конце катарсис. Конечно, для Дианы могли бы найти такую интерпретацию этой песни, при которой эта глупая песня звучала бы мощно, трагически и прекрасно, но это шоу (а не конкурс), где нельзя позволить, чтобы один участник сиял всё время так, что все остальные участники (все они замечательные артисты) постоянно оставались в тени.
В целом, я рассматриваю ситуацию с Дианой как пример "трагедии Силы в Пустоте", когда Сила (Диана) в Пустоте (современные внешние обстоятельства) не может найти точку опоры, чтобы проявить себя в полной мере.
It seems that most commentators "do not see the forest behind trees". Every well-planned show has several dramaturgic lines. Consider the line concerning Diana in this show. The first performance is heavenly (the Heaven). The second performance is a performance in which Diana (a creator), because of some unsurmountable circumstances (the choice of the song is not hers) can not realise her heavenly potential (the Hell for a creator). If we accept this inner logic of the two performances, then the second performance becomes very interesting and takes a tragic dramatic nuance: visually remarkable first 10 seconds, when Diana enters the Hell, where the devils begin to dance wildly around her, and then the whole picture takes some Middle Age flauvor (a la Bosch). If this is a well-planned idea of the authors of the show, then I applaud them and wait eagerly for next performances, expecting a catharsis at the end. Of course, Diana could be able to interprete this silly song such that the song will become mysterious, tragic and beautiful, but this is a show (not a competition) and no participant is allowed to shine all time so that all other participants (all of them are remarkable artists on their own) will be all time in a shadow.
Generally speaking, I consider the recent situation with Diana as an example of "a tragedy of the Force in the Void" when a force (Diana) can not gain a foothold in the emptiness (the recent outer circumstances) to manifest itself completely.

Не думаю, что организаторы шоу мыслили настолько глубоко. И да, песня пуста и не подходит Диане. Но, как начинающей певице, ей нужно попробовать разные жанры. Главным в ее творчестве - мне кажется найти свою нишу, используя по полной все возможности ее таланта.

The problem is just that this song choice is not really suitable for a singing competition except all contestants have to sing songs from the same genre in the same episode. And even then it could still end up being a bad choice for a singing competition.
Because the main goal for a singing competition show is to give the contestants the chance to show off their vocal capabilities and their performance skills.
And there was not too much there to allow Diana to show off her real capabilities because this song simply doesn't allow it.
That doesn't mean that she performed badly. It's the opposite: Diana performed really well. But when then the other singers aren't muted during her performance and start to sing themselves while they dance around this interferes with her performance. That's a No Go!
By the way, I really liked how Diana managed to get the other competitors off their seats and dancing around and having fun. Because THAT is the main goal of such a song and not to really show off your vocal capabilities and performance skills.

As I said Diana performed that song really well.
But the other singers aren't bad either. And when they get songs where they can show off and Diana not then it becomes quite troublesome for Diana.

Perhaps it would have been better to have one category for everyone in one episode ... but then the egoism of the others also plays a role. In the first episode Diana sang the category: Grammy and someone else had to sing a dance song ... but the last place was still not fair ... Stas or Tishman better than Diana? 🤣
Диана всегда хороша, даже на простеньком материале. Вряд ли кто из других участников сделал бы из этой песни лучше. Думаю, что так задумано организаторами шоу. Но вот оценки вызвали недоумение. Есть в них что-то нечистоплотное. Уж точно Диана не на последнем месте. К ней нет претензий. А вот судьи- соперники удивили своими человеческими качествами.

It's ok when she get's assigned a different genre each time. But when they also chose the song for her to perform and then come up with this lackluster choice that doesn't allow Diana to really show off her vocal capabilities then that's just bullshit.
In that case Diana never should have agreed to participate in this show. If the future songs are chosen as badly as this one this show will become a graveyard for Diana's future career!
Don't get me wrong. Diana performed this song really well and made all the other contestants dance around because it seems to be a popular song in Russia. But that song doesn't allow her to bring her full vocal range and her powerful emotional acting into play which are her strengths.
That's the reason why she was the last one this time. Wrong song for a singing competition, especially when the others are assigned songs where they can really show off their capabilities. Plain and simple.

She was great...if you look at the individual singers view count on the Russian TV station NTV, Diana is crushing everyone. Her competition rated her very low but the people say otherwise.

Диана молодец! Понятно, что такие песенки не для Дианы, но по ведь по сценарию шоу ее нужно было немного "притопить" (должна же быть интрига!). Однако, на мой взгляд Диана отлично справилась с этой "попсятиной". Ну а то, что ее "коллеги" поставили ей низкие оценки за это выступление, это уже заслуга авторов сценария шоу...
Паршюте я бы поставил 9, Тишману 8, Диане 7, остальные были не очень интерсны для меня в этот раз. Ну это моё мнение, ну а кто я такой обнаковенный электромонтажник.
