AMAZING 11 Year Old ATHLETE! | Where Are They Now? JASHAUN AGOSTO (10 years later). In this video i talk about the amazing 11 year old athlete jashaun agosto that went viral almost 10 years ago. I remember being a 12 year old watching videos of this kid and being in awe of his skill on the basketball court. In this video i talk about where he is now and if he has lived up to his potential. Even though he was the viral star, the amazing 11 year old athlete, as the years went on he began to be overtaken by a lot of people in his high school class. He graduated high school as a 3 star recruit but still had a d1 scholarship. He declared for the 2017 NBA draft but went undrafted and will return to his college for his sophomore season
Highlights from:
• Jashaun Agosto NBA Pre... • Jashaun Agosto is STIL...
He changed his name to Kawhi Leonard.

As long as he can make money as pro basketball player, he is successful I believe.
money is Shit.....players wants trophys
Nazmo not melo
nazmo There's 450 guys in the Nba. Yeah the 100-200 NBA players who have secure careers are looking to win, the last 250 players are all desperately trying to stay in the league and are constantly getting cut and signed everywhere.
You guys do not understand my perspective. There are so many player every year working hard on their craft, they are not taking basketball as a hobby. They want take basketball as a carrer. NBA is just one small portion of the basketball carrer. Yes it is the higest level. but it does not mean that is the only carrer destination. So to sum up, anybody can do what he love to do in his life and be able to making a good living on it, that is a blessing, definately a success.
Kai Liu exactly
I been wondering where he went
Jonathan Anderson me too bro
Jonathan Anderson we all are the pats why we clicked this video
EMP_ D3
Christopher Ozobu yeah whats up
Ikr!!
I hope he makes it
5'11 isn't all that bad
OmgItsDash nigga has crazy athleticism tho
OmgItsDash what about kemba, Tyler ulis, Chris Paul, and isiah thomqs
Isn't Kemba 6'2
Khalil Smiley no he 5 11
Oh I never knew that he seems taller
It's cool to see Conor McGregor doing youtube videos
Jonah Wilson ur amazing
Just scrolled to find the first Connor Mcgregor comment. Good job bud! DANCE FOR ME ME BOY!
Lol
Jonah Wilson when dude pronounced 3 as tree i knew it was Connor.
u made my day haha
I remember agosto, he has NBA potential but not a first round pick cause lack of size sadly, but he is really good but I'll give him till his junior year in college to judge where he'll be
KawGOAT LeonGOAT even the 11 year old boy who can't play basketball but 6" 5 to 6" 8 in height has NBA potential... Its not about your skills its about your height and only a handful in this planet can defy it... Maybe less than 50 person ever since basketball has been invented
KawGOAT LeonGOAT W
Mark Anthony Francisco L
Mark Anthony Francisco it IS about skills, if it was just height then people like spudd webb, Allen iverson (my favorite player), Isaiah thomas, Tyler ulis etc. wouldn't even make the nba, it's not all about height bbrruhhh there's tall people who are straight trash at bball 6'5 and up they're nowhere near the level of short players in the nba. I'm only 5'9 1/2 I just turned 16 and I REALLYYY wanna be over 6 feet tall but....yeah bbrruhhhhh
lassseerrr yah exactly
He better make the nba
Lavarrs Breath got damn you stink
Lavarrs Breath why do you use Steven A 's picture
Billy Yang when you smell Lavar' s breath what face would YOU make😅
Doubt it
Lavarrs Breath why the NBA? He can't get paid playing overseas?
Isaiah made it to the NBA though
boyoch isiah is quick
boyoch yeah and just because Mugsy Bouges was 5'3 doesn't mean just anybody who's 5'3 can make the NBA
Lucas Lehn count all the small player below 6" 0 in the entire history of the nba and I bet you didn't need your finger on your feet ... But count the number of 6" 5 above in one team I pretty sure its over 1/3 of the roster
With the 60th pick. I dont think anybody expected him to be this good
Out Of This World yes indeed it is good but how many are those regular size person who made it in any basketball league in the world.. Oh by the way Thomas ,nobody want to pay him max deal.. Want to know why? Because he's not 6" 0 above...
All is not lost! He just needs to continue college courses, work on his game, get his degree and wait for his turn to enter the NBA. This is the the old school way, but it still works for new school players. If they work it!
After he got beat by that girl on the one boondocks episode he probably stopped playing
DIAMOND w!!😂😂😂😂😂
CassanovaShoota what’s the reference here ?
jays0909 boondocks you uncultured swine
winning state championships twice and playing for D1 is still a very big deal.. dont discredit the guy just because he is undrafted.. not all great players end up in NBA, theres too much politics and business in sports..
Paulo Cuento agree with you!
I saw this man go in a 1v1 vs Jamal Crawford and Isaiah Thomas. But he was like 4'11 at the time
AdamCarl7 he's 5'11 now
zoomzoomii u mean isiah Thomas right
zoomzoomii ui
That was a foot ago
Who won those games??
He'll most likely be a four year player. If he can average 20 points or more in two different seasons in college then he might get looks as a late second rounder, no guarantee though.
Sam Blasian people sleeping on the euro leagues and China... he can still have a career and make a living doing what he loves. They love these popular "internet" sensations in china lol
Floor Floor true
Sam Blasian I see him transferring to a higher profile school later in his collegiate years. It may work out for him; may not. I could see him being that veteran leader as a point guard that some team needs in order to reach a championship game. That still doesn't make him NBA-material, but we'll just have to wait to see.
Nope couldn't average more than 10 ppg.
You still on track fam! Keep pushing..
Do seventh wood !!!
he's at unc right now, sophomore year coming up. solid player
joseph Birmingham he's gonna be a great player for unc this year
He was super hyped up when he was 15,16
Holden Burkholder this dude talks like Conor mcgregor
seventh should of never went to North Carolina my opinion
Why is Conor Mcgregor talking about basketball?
najeem yussuf what?
Omg i hate this
Thatoneguy its an inside joke
He should not stop playing and keep pushing forward to become better. He's been drafted already so knows maybe one day we'll see him on the big court.
He's playing D1 ball at 5'11. I'm impressed.
2018 anyone?
Size don't mean shit if u can get buckets u can play
Trust The Process size matters when everyone else is way bigger than you making you the worst defender and rebounder by default. Buckets is only half of the game
bclambert2 Allen iverson went number 1 overall and deserved it. He was 5'11 or 6 flat. He is a top 20 player ever possibly. Height ain't shit.
igot themagicinm3 yeah is this guy as good as ai tho
Alexander Loughran not even close. Ai is a stud and this guy ain't
igot themagicinm3 exactly but you gotta be more skilled if you're short so it does mean something
He's back at liu. he withdrew from the draft before the deadline
Whys that?
true
Dougie DoinIt that's smart, so he can get his name out there
I just was talking about him last week
this kid is still good and he's my favorite player
I added this man on snapchat on he actually be watching my story every now and then 😂 it's funny cuz I remember looking up to his skills when I was a kid
Brandon 2b what's his snap
Brandon 2b snap?
Brandon 2b what's his snap
Chris Wilkins too keep up with him?
No shit sherlock, its pretty pathetic IMO.
He's actually nice. Look at that release and those dribbling drills paid off. He has some good moves. Good flow for sure. Better than a lot of some cats I see
He's actually doing a lot better than most people hyped at such an early age. I was actually afraid going into this video that he'd let the pressures push him over the edge, but he's definitely having a respectable career.
I'm obsessed in baasketball
Its obvious Jashon Agosto is Kawhi Leonard
I remember that video... Also, no shame in starting at a D1 program
I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT'S BEEN 10 YEARS AGO!!! I'M GETTING OLD MAN!!!
Holy shit Garfield high school! I live 5 minutes away from there
Do you go there
Troll Execution i live in Tacoma right outside of Seattle.
j
Scarce lives near him lol wait a minute scarce vs jay Shaun
I live 10 min away!
5'7 CHRIS LYKES GOT A SCHOLARHSHIP TO MIAMI DOE🤷🏽♂️
Brandon 2b he is so much better tho
Jashaun had UCLA, Arizona, Washington, Memphis, Gonzaga and more all interested in him
Brandon 2b and a bag full of $ 🤷🏿♂️
Remember this dude, I used to look up to him and jalen Fleming.
He’s still cold hopefully he gets drafted! 💪🏽
Shit he played wit Jaylen Nowell and Daejon Davis, that's wild.
He's better than lamelo
grew up watching this kid youre going to make it bud you have time
Curry made it to the NBA and he was a 3 star recruit
I always wonder about this guy
broo all this for your " I DONT KNOWS " ...wasting my time
With a work ethic like that no one is stopping him from making the NBA.
Yeah, I've seen this guy and he's still a prodigy. The absolute best handle I've ever seen bar none (all without palming/carrying the ball). His first step and acceleration (with the ball) are ridiculous. Floater around the basket with either hand is money and ridiculous range with his jumper. Started all through HS from freshman year on and never made all-state despite the numbers he put up and his team's record. Given a chance, espectially with the way the league is going, he could be a star. Routinely held his own with all the one-and-done cats in the league right now. I'm predicting a big senior season out of him.
Is Conor mcgregor narrating this?
lmao i was thinking the same thing
The NBA Times he sounds nothing like Conor Mcgregor
You really don't know what you're talking about..... you don't have to be "Naturally big or athletic" to make the NBA you have to WORK HARD! It's millions of people that's athletic and big that will never reach the NBA because of work ethic. Y'all need to stop speaking on the game if you can't play the game. You crushing people's dreams. People that don't really know what's necessary to make it or to be a great player are hearing this and probably saying "I'm not big enough, I'm not athletic enough" size and athleticism helps but you can be a great player without it. DONT LET PEOPLE LIKE THIS RUIN YOUR DRIVE. You can make it regardless of your size or athleticism! Follow me on Twitter/ IG : @Vaelaflare
Vae Laflare Small guys with great handles come a dime a dozen don't fool yourself. Great work ethic will only get you so far and even Lebron said there are players in the league that don't even know how to play basketball which make me believe size will always matter and skill, work ethic and basketball IQ will sometimes take a backseat.
charlesh805 players that can jump high at 6'5/6'6 comes a dime a dozen and just because you have that athletic ability and you height don't mean your going D1 or to the NBA. You missed what I'm saying. This guy said out of his mouth that, you won't be in the NBA if you aren't born with a lot of athleticism or tall which isn't true. All I'm saying is just because you aren't born with the two don't mean you can't make it. Of course being tall and athletic helps but if you you can't play at all with no skill. I'd call how high you jump you not touching the NBA. When lebron said said they don't know how you play he means like in the mind. Offensively and Defensively. He damn sure not talking about the POINT GUARDS in the league when he said that, we were initially talking about point guards, cause he said you have to be tall and athletic to play in the NBA which isn't all the way true. All I'm saying.
charlesh805 work ethic and IQ doesn't take no damn bask seat when you play the point guard position.... you HAVE TO HAVE A HIGH WORK ETHIC/ HIGH SKILL SET. To be in the league. lol can't believe you said that "IQ and work ethic takes a back seat" ALL THE BEST PGs in the league has a high work ethic and if they didn't they wouldn't be I the NBA period! IF CURRY COULDNT SHOOT THE BALL OR DRIBBLE THE WAY HE CAN HE WOULDNT BE IN THE NBA, IF KYRIE DIDNT HAVE THE SKILL SET HE HAS RIGHT NOW HE WOULDNT BE IN THE NBA. WESTBROOK / JOHN WALL. STEVE NASH BACK TO BACK MVPS was he super athletic no. Curry? No. Kylie no. Kyle lowery no. Isaiah Thomas? No! Ricky Rubio, Jeremy LIN! WORK ETHIC DOES AND IQ DOES NOT PLAY A BACKSEAT TO ATHLETICISM. Especially at the PG position. TRY AGAIN BUDDY.
Vae Laflare You have two guys with the same skill set and work ethic. One is 5'11" and the other is 6'4" Sorry kid but GM's are going to go for the tall guy GET OVER IT! Lol. Quit acting like GM's and coaches all over don't have prejudices against smaller players. Size matters in all sports.
Vae Laflare Most those players you mention Wall, Weastbrook, Curry are not under 6'0. They have the total package, quit sticking up for then few midgets that actually can ball like Isiah Thomas.
He will make it if he stays all his years in college
This video shows the difficulty to make it to the NBA. By the way, nice video. It takes a lot of effort to make videos like you do.
Look at tj McConnel. He is not fast, strong, tall athletic, or anything physical better than the average person. He worked hard and made it to the NBA. You said that it is "impossible to make it to the nba if are not physically ready. Not true at all
Connor S yeah but look what he is doing in the NBA NOTHING
STILL THE NEXT LEBRON JAMES
No that's zion williamson
Omg about 2weeks ago I remembered this video and this kid. And I couldn't remember his name and really wondered where he was. Perfect timing
I swear I watch a video of this kid. Amazing bruh, about 5 years ago and watched the same video. He is still crazy
Do a video on me I am a 4 star recruit top 40 in California
Naseem Gaskin
Did the research, you pretty good. Keep it up 👌👌
Goggles nation follow me for proof💀
Lol u got dunked on by pj
Your beast
this is gonna go viral calling it ; 407 views rn
Getting a College Scholarship to play D1 basketball is a great success in my opinion. After 4 years he'll have the opportunity to play pro overseas or follow the career he decided to study without having to pay for it. That's success!
You declare so you can get input from NBA teams to know what to work on.
He won't go to the NBA
Being honest
Stephen Lin neither will you
I know 😴😴
Don't you ever say someone can't reach their dreams. You never know.
Thebird cried ikr
Thebird cried People like you are annoying. He's not making the league, period. Everyone won't accomplish their dreams. I bet your dumb ass tells every kid you meet they can be the president if the try really hard.
What about that latino kid on those ball handle skill tape?
Raphial Lee Jaden Newman??
Raphial Lee Julian Newman
Raphial Lee You talking about Cezar Guerrero?
Kyron Hanton I think so but he graduated already
I followed his career through high school where he went 52-3 in three years and followed his freshman year in college. Ridiculously skilled, cat quick and an excellent passer. Could definitely play in Europe right now and could do so in the NBA if he gets a bit more selfish offensively to catch the eye of scouts. Good range on his shot, 42" vertical, 2.6 3/4 court speed. Saw him break full court presses by himself repeatedly. Could've averaged double digit assists all year long if his teammates hadn't bobbled the passes. If he doesn't get drafted don't be surprised if he doesn't transfer to a larger school. If he gets a growth spurt but keeps that quickness the NBA is a foregone conclusion.
i wasn't wondering where he went , i just remember him from that news video on youtube.. hopefully he makes it through
* i was wondering about this guy. Glad to see that he's still trying!!*
JASHAUN will make the NBA.. He's still young.. And he's definitely got the talent ...and when he vests there.. He's going to be unstoppable ..
I hope this kid makes. I could picture him being a great spark off the bench.
I used to watch his videos couple years ago , this crazy time go by fast !
Love your videos! Soundtrack is 🔥
hell be in the nba someday probs wont get drafted but will get signed someday
Same exact thing that happened to me. Growth spurt stopped at 5’11. But with how shooting is the new era of basketball, deep threes, I see this big man or bust era being over.
If this vid go viral maybe he might get picked up for D-league or overseas. Show us ballers under 6 foot some love, we go crazy.
People don't realize pushing yourself so hard when you haven't hit puberty it can't stun your growth
Damn I remember playing him in middle school. He was tiny but everyone hyped him up
Great video i forgot about this kid.
I completely forgot about this kid. Even if he never makes it to the nba, he sill had a better basketball career than most.
I used to watch him play on the playground, life is crazy.
At that height you have to be a freak athlete. Extremely quick and fast with solid strength to finish against the big bodies in the paint
A dude from my church got signed as a free agent to an NFL roster right at the start of this season despite just playing one season of Division 1 football and that was after wasting three years at a BIg 10 school! Dude is 6'2", chiseled 230-240 lbs. Like you said, you have to win the genetic lottery to even have a chance.
I played every single day in that community center for five years, man.
It's crazy how back then it was amazing and now ever 11 12 year old can do it
I have a rare memory disorder where I will randomly remember about something that I liked or enjoyed very much and it happens at any given time so for some unknown reason after several years I remembered ...... Oh snap I forgot what it was again..... Oh well...
I always wondered about him!
I felt like if he didn't make it to the NBA, it would be because of his height. But now that I see the update of him, I was right but I hope he defies the odds.
Finally someone looked for him
To be clear and put this in perspective, he is the most skilled PG in the nation. He declared for the draft because he was routinely serving up those blue choppers at elite campus all through high school. He may not get to the NBA make no mistake about it he is a prodigy. I've never seen anyone quicker with the ball, a better handle or a more accurate in the paint left hand/ right hand floater. Talent hasn't been his issue it's been opportunity.
guys like isaiah thomas & tyler ulis made it to the league through their WORK. never say something like hard work doesnt get you anywhere. those dudes work their asses off to be where they're at now, & people should follow that tireless work ethic
He should just go to the d league
I love the way he's from Ireland,I'm from Ireland and I'm glad to see some from Ireland with knowledge
I think I saw him at Pelican Bay, in a recent " Locked Up " episode. He was ballin good there.
I went to Highschool with him he was in my french class😂🤦🏾♂️ funniest dude ever
I think if he can develop in the next 2-3 years he could make it
I think he will as long as he don't give up. By his 3rd or 4th year he should of made an impression that the nba can't resist from looking at. He just play for a division 1 small school. But still he put up good numbers for a freshman. If he played for a bigger known school. Someone probably would of drafted him. the guynis crazy athletic , shoots really well. And one of the fastest basketball player i have seen in a long time. High school, college and nba.
Some team should sign him a non-guarantee contract, I've been watching his recent videos here and there, and he has the right mindset of playing b-ball. Pass first point is rare nowadays, I believe he has a place in the nba.
Ayeee I remember this kid and the video
In college basketball you're allowed to declare and do all the workouts and just back out. A lot of kids do that and they will participate and workouts, etc. and then just back out.
why when i see this video and listen to the guy speaking i think of connor McGregor haha anyway thank you so much for the awesome vid.
This kid is beast at basketball 🏀🏀🏀
Seventh Wood...You could make video about him....he was maybe the best prospect 2-3 yrs ago and now he's struggling in college basketball
Jashaun dunked on me 😂 dude is small af too
He really put his name in the draft.
I actually don't know this guy.
But I hope he goes to the NBA.
He turned out pretty good.
He average 11/3/3 on his sophomore year. Thats a significant growth. Its against the odd.
Never give up on your dream whatever it may be.
