    AMAZING 11 Year Old ATHLETE! | Where Are They Now? JASHAUN AGOSTO (10 years later). In this video i talk about the amazing 11 year old athlete jashaun agosto that went viral almost 10 years ago. I remember being a 12 year old watching videos of this kid and being in awe of his skill on the basketball court. In this video i talk about where he is now and if he has lived up to his potential. Even though he was the viral star, the amazing 11 year old athlete, as the years went on he began to be overtaken by a lot of people in his high school class. He graduated high school as a 3 star recruit but still had a d1 scholarship. He declared for the 2017 NBA draft but went undrafted and will return to his college for his sophomore season
    Highlights from:
    • Jashaun Agosto NBA Pre... • Jashaun Agosto is STIL...

      nazmo There's 450 guys in the Nba. Yeah the 100-200 NBA players who have secure careers are looking to win, the last 250 players are all desperately trying to stay in the league and are constantly getting cut and signed everywhere.

      You guys do not understand my perspective. There are so many player every year working hard on their craft, they are not taking basketball as a hobby. They want take basketball as a carrer. NBA is just one small portion of the basketball carrer. Yes it is the higest level. but it does not mean that is the only carrer destination. So to sum up, anybody can do what he love to do in his life and be able to making a good living on it, that is a blessing, definately a success.

      Mark Anthony Francisco it IS about skills, if it was just height then people like spudd webb, Allen iverson (my favorite player), Isaiah thomas, Tyler ulis etc. wouldn't even make the nba, it's not all about height bbrruhhh there's tall people who are straight trash at bball 6'5 and up they're nowhere near the level of short players in the nba. I'm only 5'9 1/2 I just turned 16 and I REALLYYY wanna be over 6 feet tall but....yeah bbrruhhhhh

      Sam Blasian I see him transferring to a higher profile school later in his collegiate years. It may work out for him; may not. I could see him being that veteran leader as a point guard that some team needs in order to reach a championship game. That still doesn't make him NBA-material, but we'll just have to wait to see.

    Yeah, I've seen this guy and he's still a prodigy. The absolute best handle I've ever seen bar none (all without palming/carrying the ball). His first step and acceleration (with the ball) are ridiculous. Floater around the basket with either hand is money and ridiculous range with his jumper. Started all through HS from freshman year on and never made all-state despite the numbers he put up and his team's record. Given a chance, espectially with the way the league is going, he could be a star. Routinely held his own with all the one-and-done cats in the league right now. I'm predicting a big senior season out of him.

    You really don't know what you're talking about..... you don't have to be "Naturally big or athletic" to make the NBA you have to WORK HARD! It's millions of people that's athletic and big that will never reach the NBA because of work ethic. Y'all need to stop speaking on the game if you can't play the game. You crushing people's dreams. People that don't really know what's necessary to make it or to be a great player are hearing this and probably saying "I'm not big enough, I'm not athletic enough" size and athleticism helps but you can be a great player without it. DONT LET PEOPLE LIKE THIS RUIN YOUR DRIVE. You can make it regardless of your size or athleticism! Follow me on Twitter/ IG : @Vaelaflare

    • @LuckyC555
      @LuckyC555 7 лет назад

      Vae Laflare Small guys with great handles come a dime a dozen don't fool yourself. Great work ethic will only get you so far and even Lebron said there are players in the league that don't even know how to play basketball which make me believe size will always matter and skill, work ethic and basketball IQ will sometimes take a backseat.

    • @javaelampkins5856
      @javaelampkins5856 7 лет назад

      charlesh805 players that can jump high at 6'5/6'6 comes a dime a dozen and just because you have that athletic ability and you height don't mean your going D1 or to the NBA. You missed what I'm saying. This guy said out of his mouth that, you won't be in the NBA if you aren't born with a lot of athleticism or tall which isn't true. All I'm saying is just because you aren't born with the two don't mean you can't make it. Of course being tall and athletic helps but if you you can't play at all with no skill. I'd call how high you jump you not touching the NBA. When lebron said said they don't know how you play he means like in the mind. Offensively and Defensively. He damn sure not talking about the POINT GUARDS in the league when he said that, we were initially talking about point guards, cause he said you have to be tall and athletic to play in the NBA which isn't all the way true. All I'm saying.

    • @javaelampkins5856
      @javaelampkins5856 7 лет назад

      charlesh805 work ethic and IQ doesn't take no damn bask seat when you play the point guard position.... you HAVE TO HAVE A HIGH WORK ETHIC/ HIGH SKILL SET. To be in the league. lol can't believe you said that "IQ and work ethic takes a back seat" ALL THE BEST PGs in the league has a high work ethic and if they didn't they wouldn't be I the NBA period! IF CURRY COULDNT SHOOT THE BALL OR DRIBBLE THE WAY HE CAN HE WOULDNT BE IN THE NBA, IF KYRIE DIDNT HAVE THE SKILL SET HE HAS RIGHT NOW HE WOULDNT BE IN THE NBA. WESTBROOK / JOHN WALL. STEVE NASH BACK TO BACK MVPS was he super athletic no. Curry? No. Kylie no. Kyle lowery no. Isaiah Thomas? No! Ricky Rubio, Jeremy LIN! WORK ETHIC DOES AND IQ DOES NOT PLAY A BACKSEAT TO ATHLETICISM. Especially at the PG position. TRY AGAIN BUDDY.

    I followed his career through high school where he went 52-3 in three years and followed his freshman year in college. Ridiculously skilled, cat quick and an excellent passer. Could definitely play in Europe right now and could do so in the NBA if he gets a bit more selfish offensively to catch the eye of scouts. Good range on his shot, 42" vertical, 2.6 3/4 court speed. Saw him break full court presses by himself repeatedly. Could've averaged double digit assists all year long if his teammates hadn't bobbled the passes. If he doesn't get drafted don't be surprised if he doesn't transfer to a larger school. If he gets a growth spurt but keeps that quickness the NBA is a foregone conclusion.

    Same exact thing that happened to me. Growth spurt stopped at 5’11. But with how shooting is the new era of basketball, deep threes, I see this big man or bust era being over.

    At that height you have to be a freak athlete. Extremely quick and fast with solid strength to finish against the big bodies in the paint

    A dude from my church got signed as a free agent to an NFL roster right at the start of this season despite just playing one season of Division 1 football and that was after wasting three years at a BIg 10 school! Dude is 6'2", chiseled 230-240 lbs. Like you said, you have to win the genetic lottery to even have a chance.

    To be clear and put this in perspective, he is the most skilled PG in the nation. He declared for the draft because he was routinely serving up those blue choppers at elite campus all through high school. He may not get to the NBA make no mistake about it he is a prodigy. I've never seen anyone quicker with the ball, a better handle or a more accurate in the paint left hand/ right hand floater. Talent hasn't been his issue it's been opportunity.

    I think he will as long as he don't give up. By his 3rd or 4th year he should of made an impression that the nba can't resist from looking at. He just play for a division 1 small school. But still he put up good numbers for a freshman. If he played for a bigger known school. Someone probably would of drafted him. the guynis crazy athletic , shoots really well. And one of the fastest basketball player i have seen in a long time. High school, college and nba.

    Some team should sign him a non-guarantee contract, I've been watching his recent videos here and there, and he has the right mindset of playing b-ball. Pass first point is rare nowadays, I believe he has a place in the nba.

    In college basketball you're allowed to declare and do all the workouts and just back out. A lot of kids do that and they will participate and workouts, etc. and then just back out.
