How GOOD Is Julian Newman ACTUALLY? Can He Make The NBA? In this video I talk about julian newman and how good I believe that he actually is and whether I think that he will make the NBA or not. Julian newman has been in the spotlight for years as he played varsity basketball as a 4 foot 5 11 year old. Julian newman is arguably the most hyped 11 year old of all time. I personally am not a fan of his attitude or julian newmans dad but his talent is incredible. Judging by his hoop mixtapes he is one of the most skilled 16 year olds i have ever seen. The problem is his height, he is extremely small at 5 foot 7 and may not grow. For this reason it is unlikely that he makes it to the nba. There is a slight chance, I would never count out a guy as young and skilled as he is but it's highly unlikely that julian newman makes the nba

Thats exactly what I was thinking! Hid dribbling doesn't seem like functional dribbling. It doesn't even seem like he gets the defender leaning and on top of that you can pretty much predict exactly what he's going to do. "He's going to dribble up the court, if he doesn't have an open lane he's just gonna sit and dribble five times and then drive even if there is no opening"
Looks like any defender who can take his first step, won't have a hard time.

Julian is so polished that he can't get any better. Just look at his 12 year old highlights and look at him now. Julian didn't get really better and hasn't made his team any better. Sure Lamelo jacks up a ton of shots but so does Julian. Julian also has no chance in the nba. I think everyone already realized this and that's why Julian is incredibly irrelavant but I just wanted to point this out for anyone that's still wondering.

Neal Hawk he’s not going anywhere because he’s just not good enough; competition level is very low, his team’s record is horrible, he shoots from the hip, he’s not a true PG, very little athletic ability, he’s short, none of his teammates want to play with him ( he’s a ball hog), etc. he will be very lucky to play at a junior college level as a backup. In reality he’s just not very good.

Pretty much everything LMAO, im sleep, check this mans stats in any elite competition, hes not trash, but hes not even ranked, and thats for good reason, his shit attitude for the game and utter disrespect for a solid player, he dribbles in one place, gets easily heated, and picks on people smaller than him, of course kyree walker got ethered by him but put him up against the top sophmores ranked in his class and there is no competition, they play in many different ways, but julian on defense gets plain destroyed, his height completely cuts his chances of getting bigger, he is quick, but when it comes to the big boys, you gotta be able to take some contact and not expect a foul everytime isaiah thomas is 2 inches taller, yes he is an adult and julian could easily grow and blow my argument out the water, but at the same age isaiah was much heavier and much more skilled at finishing through and around contact, his attitude purely makes colleges shy away from him and thats proven, no one wants some cocky kid who shoots from his chest which would be stuffed by anyone in D2, he needs to grow up fr fr.

D league? not sure? but i guess this kid will stay where he was for ever.

I think if he was really NBA caliber special his teams wouldn't go 0 - 9 . There's something up with that. The best players make everyone around them better too, or at least require double coverage to leave an open shooter so they can put up points. And that stuff about throwing a ball at the other guys face. Someone would be getting lit up where I grew up for that kind of thing.

Haven't seen one comment that looks at things objectively. People are throwing nothing but hate this guy's way. He is clearly an arrogant kid, but that doesn't mean he won't be a great ball player. He's averaging nearly 30 points per game (shooting 50%) and over 8 assists a game. Also, he averages over 3 steals a game. Now, he could be playing against trash teams, but those stats are pretty solid. He is only a freshman and bound to get better. I have no doubt he could play D1 ball if he wanted to. As for playing in the NBA, I'm not sure.
