The nostalgia is real! 1st ever basketball game my brothers and I owned! I remember the music when you're picking your teams and everything! Crazy this game is almost 20 years old lol..

That Swollen Members Deep End instrumental brings back so many good memories on NBA Live 2002
Don't know if you knew this but all the tracks from this game are Swollen Members/Rob The Viking instrumentals. I learned this a few years after this game came out and have been a Swollen Members fan ever since. I always wondered how they managed to get featured on this game without any credits.

@@emmanuelsuarez9180 nba live fell apart after 07? 2k began to grow around 08 then 11 won it for them and the rest is history.

NBA LIVE 2002 both on PS1 and 2 are equally great. Don Poier was the sole commentator on the PS1 port.
1999, 2002, and 2004 are some of the best NBA live games.
Live 02 was horrible just look at this vanilla plain crap

I used to stay up until 4am playing this game drafting players and signing players. It was only a 25 year franchise as well
If you lost the first two games of the playoffs does it automatically make you lose?
@@PhoenixScums it's a glitch in the playoffs Iost the first two games in the first round won game 3 won in game 4 I was up by 2 as time expired but it put the game in OT. THEN game 5 I put the game in OT and it said the CPU won. No bullshit lmao
nba live used to be better than 2k
But after 2004, 2k became better than live

I remember I got this game when it came out and the first time I played it my brother walked across and dropped my ps by the controller wire and scratched the disc never got to play the game 😂😂

@@lunaticc86cpt won the championship with the bulls twice on pro and all star. But lost in the first round with the pacers on the pro difficulty
This is back when nba live was #1 for like 7 years and EA ripping us off. Thank goodness 2k took over.

People say this game was trash but it don't seem as bad as they say. I had this game 20 years ago but can't remember the game play. My favorite teams at the team at the time was the bulls it will be interesting to see if I can take the worst team in the league to the finals
EDIT: this game is good so far. Played 5 games and only Lost one. And all my wins have been 1 to 3 point games
The Vancouver Grizzlies have rename the Memphis Grizzlies.
Has anyone else experienced this game cheating? Two playoff games in a row at the end of the game I was up 2 but it put the game in overtime. Then the game was tied but it said the CPU won

The game was whack to me. The graphics compared to 2K was trash. Not realistic at all. They were solely going off of brand name.
