Hey! Thank you so much for the feedback! I am actually working on making a LGA to NYC video at the moment, to further help visitors coming into NYC. It'll be released in a couple of weeks or so. And yes I agree, RUclips does need more content that actually helps people! :D
I am planning on taking a trip to NY soon. I hope not much changed if anything. I must say I really do appreciate the video. Have a Blessed One....Thanks.
This video is soooooo helpful!!! What's not helpful (nothing to do with this video) is that google maps doesn't even offer this as an option... they legit only show the bus or other trains. It's like this is non-existant on google maps... so thank you so much for this video!
A superbly created, lucid, user-friendly, preemptively answering all the questions, and a detailed video! Could not have been simplified more! You have done great service to the passengers who want to easily connect with NYC-Manhattan Penn Station from EWR Liberty International Airport! I used to take the Newark Airport Express Bus, but you have delineated an attractive alternative for an (East-) Indian train-buff like me! (Incidentally, I frequently travel from India to the United States on Visiting Professorships and Conference Invitations). Please keep up the Good Work...look forward to seeing many such video-clips!
Thanks buddy! I really appreciate it and glad to hear that it answers all questions! So many of us New Yorkers get asked how to get to and from the airport and general directions so I do whatever I can to help! :)
In addition to the Northeast Corridor Trains, you can also take the North Jersey Coast Line Trains to the airport station. The single level rail cars on NJTransit have more space than the bi-level rail cars. The single level seat 5 across rather than 4 and have more overhead space on the racks.
@@TravelWithVic NJTransit services are designed for Commuters who make up >95% of the ridership. The double-decker trains are built for maximum ridership since the platforms at Penn-New York cannot accommodate longer trains. The height of the cars is limited by century-old tunnels under the Hudson. Travelers with luggage have the option of riding Amtrak between Newark and Manhattan. These trains have far more luggage space, but are a bit more expensive, but tickets can be purchased online in advance.
I'm confused how you read that monitor? You bought a ticket for Newark Airport, but on the monitor, the only thing that said track 15 was "trenton>SEC".....is that some code word for "Newark Airport"?
Re the comment about pretending to drive the train, people say the same about the DLR n London I used EWR several times between 2002 and 2010, arriving from London and heading for Jersey City. The airport was good, as far as any airport can be a good place. The first time several large planes landed close together and the queues at immigration looked really terrible; I thoight it would take hours to get through but they opened several extra desks and be cleared in less than 20 minutes. As for customs, handed over the white card, I think they asked one question, and was waved through in less than ter seconds. I would certainly recommend EWR over JFK; I’ve only used the latter once, and it was terrible. I think the AirTrain could be better, it’s slow and small, gets very crowded. As I was going to Jersey City I needed to take PATH to Journal Square and therefore three trains, including NJ Transit for just one stop, to go just a few km. I wish they would either extend pATH to the airport station, or the AirTrain to Newark Penn Station
Took the airtrain from Jersey City to Newark airport. Wasn't bad. It's $2.75 on path to Newark Penn station to the airtrain. The airtrain is $8.75 to the terminal. Terminal A stop has a shuttle bus to terminal A
Does anyone know if the air train is running 24 hours or when it is off? I will be visiting soon and my flight is 6:30am back. So I will Need to arrive by 5:00am. Also, do you know how safe it is taking public transport with two three transfers at 4:00am?
Hey, I know it's a bit late, but the AirTrain runs 24 hrs with reduced services late evening into early morning for scheduled maintenance. NJ Transit and Amtrak will not stop at the station from 12-5am
Looks like a little more than 30 minutes based on that he took a 1:55pm train and when he's checking the departures board at 8:47 the airTrain entrance the clock says 2:24pm
I know there's a NYC health form I'd need by hand if you're coming from out of state. If I stay in NJ side to go see NYC I don't need it right, even if i'm coming from FL?
At about 16:32, the man's suitcase could jam sideways on the escalator. If there were many people behind him there could be a serious jam and people could get hurt.
So the Air-train is free and you just pay for the NJ Transit? You scanned the ticket just to get out from the NJ Transit area NOT to ride the Air-train. Correct?
Wow! No more awful bus ride to the New York Port Authority bus terminal. You left out the most important parts though, the times and the price, and how long is the ride, total from the airport to Penn Station NY? Does the train from Newark train station to NYC stop running after midnight? Don’t want to get stranded overnight in Newark, murder capitol of the US!
@@xxdanixx06vrak82 Hi, I'm afraid that 3 hours won't be long enough, it took me 2 hours and 20min. I started the timer once I got my luggage. Also I have to mention that I did take a 25min break in Penn Station. If you have any other question lmk.
Just yesterday I made the NY Penn to EWR. And I had the same question. Your train will be listed on the LED monitor, but it will not be assigned a track until about 10 minutes before departure. So just keep an eye on it and the track number will populate.
02:56 the train he takes is the top one on the monitor screen the "155 Trenton-SEC" with the airplane symbol by it, and the third column marked "TRK" has a 15 below it.
