- A trip to the land of the seven hills and back! A trip to get some final glimpses of WAM4s and WAP1s before they are relegated to the pages of IR history! This compilation features a trip from Chennai to Tirupati on the Sapthagiri Express, and back to Chennai the same day on the Nagarsol Chennai Express. Enjoy the wonderful Eastern Ghats between Arakkonam and Renigunta as the Sapthagiri does justice to its name and winds through it, powered by an Arakkonam WAM4. Also featured in the compilation are crossings with the Garudadri Express, Trivandrum Chennai Mail. Mangalore Chennai Express, Yelagiri Express, Chennai Dadar Express, Chennai Mumbai Express, Chennai LTT Express, Chennai Trivandrum Express, Chennai Hyderabad Express, Chennai Trivadrum AC Express and the Chennai Coimbatore Intercity Express.
I had undertaken the journey praying for a WAP1 ride - I got a WAM4 instead so no regrets - just hope it is not the last WAM4 ride of my life.

@11:16 - that's not the Tirumala temple. It's called Gaali gopuram, from whence the walk/ pathway to the top of the hill begins ... You can't spot the temple from ground
The temple like structure shown is a gopuram on footpath way via alipiri. Tirumala is at high attitude. Awesome video

Good one when did you take this video? If you had taken it on November or something the train that you had mentioned as Trivandrum Chennai mail is actually Cheran from Coimbatore and the LHB Express with Wap 7 is actually Trivandrum Mail because Trivandrum Mail comes after Cheran

The structure you believe to be Tirumala temple is actually not the temple. It’s a huge ancient gateway located at the beginning of a well laid 11 km long foot path to Tirumala temple. You come across a few more such ancient gateways before you reach the temple on the hills.

Kapil Soni bro sometimes the tracks move apart especially at curves...the distance between the two tracks may go upto 700mts

One wrong information kaveri express was hauled by lgd wap 7 not rpm and also trivandrum mail has lhb rake coach then the regular loco is rpm wap 7 that unidentified one is only trivandrum mail

the uploader seems to not know what tirupati temple is, showing some temple near the railway tracks and calling it tirupati temple feels like a downer, he need to educate himself before uploading such post
Actually it is not the temple but those are the starting points, ,Huge gateways for pedestrian stairways to the tirupati temple on the hlll top. It is not some random track side temple.)
