Super Mario Bros. Wonder is a side-scrolling platform game. As one of eight player characters-Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Princess Daisy, Toad, Toadette, Nabbit and Yoshi-the player completes levels across the Flower Kingdom with assistance from its talking flower-like denizens. Like prior Super Mario games, players guide their character to the end of a level while avoiding enemies, such as Goombas and Piranha Plants, and transporting through Warp Pipes. Each stage contains multiple collectible "Wonder Seeds".

Gotta say this kinda surprised that we get dialog from super mario character. I'm curious of why did expand on the boss fights with the wonder flower or some new challenging types.
I dont know man. 7 hours gameplay thats 8 euro an hour. Looks good but nintendo needs to step up big time with their weak consoles and very very short games
@@claudioventriglia agreed. Nintendo played it safe to get another title out the door. This game looked like another new super mario series. Kind of babyish. And just a one timer, not worth 50 dollar price tag or another play through. They need to step up their game.
Well it takes way longer than that. Probably spent 20 hours total, especially with the Search Party levels and Secret World stuff, that was a lot more difficult and not even included here in this run as it was extra. This vid edited down without deaths and all that. @@claudioventriglia
Incredible sounds like what a sponsored content creator would say. Good would be a believable comment. But, this is an above average game at best. 6.5/10 IMO, fails to hit the mark that Sonic Superstars hit as far as a retro throwback vibe goes, and I always think Mario games are better but not this time!

....who's the main ruler of the mushroom kingdom? While Princess Peach is the ruler, but doesn't Princess mean like...one step away from being queen?
I think in like one comic the mushroom king apeared and peaches parents where mentioned in the original super mario's manual i think. Other than that im not sure a king/queen for the mushroom kingdom will apear in a game or if they even exist
Prince can be the main title, though then it's usually called a principality and not a kingdom.
Prince originally comes from the Roman title Princeps and would refer to the leader of the Roman senate. It literally meant "one who comes first", as the leader of the senate would speak first.
It's corrupted forms, prince and princess, only came to hold their current meaning because in the context of a monarchy "the one who comes first" is the person who is first in line for the throne.
So in short, Princess Peach being the head of state despite being referred to as a Princess isn't too unusual, though it does imply her kingdom used to be a Roman style republic at some point.
This discussion reminds me of the Super Mario Bros movie - Spoilery yet I guess but...... in that one Princess Peach got to the Mushroom Kingdom from another world, and the locals made her their ruler.... Meanwhile it is never explored and is a dark part of the movie they are swiping under the rug, that there is a mother and a father in some world, who have probably spend years and years and years trying to find their daughter, still lost, probably mourned by them at this point. Nobody, including Peach herself, cares at all.

Peach is the sole commander of Mushroom Kingdom. If there is someone higher, they are not here so in their absence, Peach is in charge.

Great watch! Amazing game to be honest, super imaginative compared to the original new super Mario brothers. I think this is what New Super Mario Bros WiiU was trying to be, but tech just wasn’t there maybe. Could see tricks and visuals from Donkey Kong Country Returns, Mario Bros., Super Mario Galaxy, New Super Mario Bros, and obviously many other iterations.
Kind of a weird ending but I can tell it’s meant to end the way it did because no one is kidnapped, kingdom is saved and every Mario character helped save the day.
Not a fan of ALL the worlds but World 1 is just beautiful. Hope to see the lands referenced in future games.
Hearing Mario say "it's a me" with the new VA after hearing Charles Martinet for so long felt uncanny. The other lines are fine but that one rubbed me the wrong way.

@glp Clearly, beating the game was super easy, barely an inconvenience. But the sheer effort you put in to make sure you cleared the levels by grabbing onto the flagpole from the highest possible point ... now that's some dedication

@@glp Also the intro with all the characters interacting and waving to each other made my heart melt lol.
This game was indeed incredible, but I do have a few nitpicks.
1. The races against Wiggler. They're great but it would be nice to race other characters. Like, they gave these pink Koopas rollerskates too, so they could bring back Koopa the Quick from Mario 64 and give him rollerskates too for a race. It would be so cool to see him again. It's a missed opportunity that he's not here.
2. The worlds 3 and 5 don't have bosses at all. Maybe that the airships could have been put there by Kamek as an equivalent to the palaces instead of spawning at seemingly random points on the maps, and Kamek would be the boss of these airships, with Wonder Power of course. I mean that would be cool. I don't think we ever got to fight Kamek himself.
3. We didn't get to see Bowser's EPIC Wonder. We stop him before he manages to pull it off and it's a bit disappointing, considering all the build-up that it was given.
It would have been nice if, after we make the last Cloud Pirhana vanish, it's too late, and the entire world become's Bowser's plaything. He changes the fabric of reality itself to make it his world.
Of course, everything goes back to normal once we defeat him, but it would have been a nice way to raise the stakes, and a world where Bowser succeeded and, thanks to the Wonder Power, is basically a god, would be crazy but also extremely cool to see.
Like, as he said, he could reshape all the continents, even the entire planet, even ALL the planets in his image ! There could even have been a quick cutscene where we see various character in various kingdoms looking at the sky becoming dark. Like Pauline, Wario (and Waluigi too but we know Nintendo doesn't like him much), Captain Toad, maybe the Koopalings, and several others...
4. It would have been nice if the final fight had a Wonder Event that turned Prince Florian into a butterfly (since he's a caterpillar) and he would help us to reach Bowser and hit him.
5. 100 purple coins is a bit of a disappointing reward for collecting all the Wonder Seeds. In fact, the little secret areas I've seem to just have coins and purple coins most of the time, which is also a bit disappointing. Like maybe put a little easter egg in there. And if they really wanna use coins then make them form shapes, like the coins forming a 3 in SMB3.
