Your videos are awesome! I love that you take your sons out with you! My dad is retiring soon and I’m getting ready to take him out on some of these trails!
Fins and Things is a great trail to run when first arriving in Moab to get acclimated to the slick rock feel. It's easy enough, but can also be challenging depending on how difficult you want to make some obstacles. Looking forward to the rest of your videos!
I've done Hell's Gate several times and its exciting every time. I like that you mention the extra weight on the top of the vehicle making it questionable. It's something I haven't thought of before. I also like that you comfortable opted out of doing it. I know a lot of people that let their "egos" get in the way of making the smarter decision and end up doing things they later regret.
you all probably dont give a shit but does anybody know a way to log back into an Instagram account..? I somehow lost my login password. I love any tips you can give me.
@Bronson Vance i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Seems to take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Great video guys. I’m visiting Colorado end of September with a stop in Moab. Thanks for actually showing that Hells gate is optional and not part of the trail. So many videos show Hell’s gate as part of the trail. I’ll be in a Gladiator Rubicon with a 2 inch lift and 35’s. Looks like I should have no trouble doing the main trail. Many people I’ve chatted with state di Fins and Things first as a break in trail to Moab.
Smart to bypass those tougher obstacles with the rooftop tent. When I did that trail for the first time I thought the hardest part was actually the trail exit… Those steps were pretty huge! Thanks for sharing, great video. My wife wouldn’t stop laughing at the Tofurkey
Wow, another great video Brad!! They keep getting better and better. And yes, a little more nerve racking I'm sure on some of those trails. Thanks for sharing, that was awesome!!
Love it, Love it, Love it! Another great job! I am literally leaving Colorado to run these trails in about 30 minutes! It will be nice to be back there and this video really has me pumped now!
what a tough looking trail, wow; looks like it would be a little gut dropping to lose sight right before topping some of those hill. I think I would be hanging my head out the window to look lol
Dang! Another awesome video Brad! I could watch these all day and night. Makes me want to go try some of them myself. Totally agree with the decision NOT to do hell’s gate. Can’t wait for the rest! Thank you for taking us along on these trips and thank you for all your hard work and time editing and producing these videos!
Hells revenge is one of those trails you have to do when you visit moab. Just an all around epic trail. Not really hard but its the ideal "moab" experience.
Hey Brad, another great video! I really appreciate these, so tonight, I ordered a TrailRecon T-shirt to sport while I'm out wheeling my 2015 Sahara. Keep up the good work, and hopefully I'll see you out on the trail!
Hell's Revenge is a blast. With bypasses for most major obstacles it's as hard as you want to make it. I ran it in my stock XJ a few years back and had no trouble, but would love to go back with my JK Rubicon and try some of the more difficult obstacles.
Just subbed. Lots of stuff out there and I am very picky about who I follow on their adventures. You are one of only two that I have subscribed to. Really enjoy your approach to Jeep mods and camaraderie. I am new to Jeeps and overlanding but enjoying every minute!! I have learned a lot from your videos. Thanks
Great videos! I have viewed many of them over the past few weeks. We were in the Ouray - Telluride area this past July exploring with our can am Outlanders. We love that area and all the trails! Looking forward to exploring some of the other areas you have been. Thanks for sharing your adventures! Matt in Gig Harbor Wa
I just stumbled across your channel and love the videos, I live in Australia so I don’t really watch much American 4wding. You guys should definitely come visit Australia sometime in the future as we have great 4wding locations. Just to name a few we have Cape York, Fraser Island, The Kimberley and more. Thanks and keep doing what your doing :)
Wow, hells revenge and that narrow pass would make me crap my draws ! Awesome 👏 would love to get there one day but for now happy to be with you guys on the trip just watching , truly a test of ability out there in Utah!
Masterclass on how to run a RUclips channel. You've also minimized the music in newer videos than this which is appreciated (especially for those of us practicing scales while listening to you).
Hells Revenge is awesome, I've done it with my Full size truck more then once. It's actually pretty easy. But, if you like mountain biking, just down the road is Slick Rock bike trail, it's epic fun, did it a couple months ago.
Awesome again Brad.. Think it's great that you put so much thought into safety on the trails and make decisions to avoid certain trails based on how your JK is equipped. Videos of JK disasters are so disheartening... I'm heading out there next year and cant wait..
Brad I’m watching you after having just finished installing some teraflex quick disconnect sway bar links on my Jk. I’m feeling inspired watching you man, awesome video as always!
Nice vid brings back memories of doing Moab in a Zuk 20 years ago. Climbing hell’s gate was very sketchy, especially lifting a wheel about 6 foot near the top
Funny we just did a Austin TX to Lake City CO to Moab UT to Red river NM adventure in June. Going from Lake City over the divide to Ouray was our favorite.
I enjoyed this video as well as all of your videos . Thank you for sharing . Wish I knew you guys were going to be there , I would have meet with you. Maybe next time ?
It’s funny you mention a front camera for hills. Just ordered the stuff to install a 4 camera system on mine. Planning front rear passenger front tire view and behind front axle looking forward
Sure hope some jack does not go and change the paint lines on the trails. Could be very deadly. Maybe suggest the carve them in or something. There is always one out there.. safe trails yall.
Wow such a great video Brad. We really enjoyed this trail ourselves. My wife made the call to not do Hells Gate 😢 you got great footage but in November she’s ready to let me do it I can’t wait to video it.
Nice video, great shots and great quality and editing. Not going to lie, I am disappointed you went on one of the most iconic trails, with some of the most iconic obstacles, in a built Jeep, and then take every bypass. I can understand the mantra “drive to wheel another day” but you showed how valuable the winch could be. You would have made Hells gate and tip over challenge no problem. I get not doing the tubs and Escalator. Regardless, I am looking forward to the next video in this series.
Our goal from the start of this trip was to have an awesome week long adventure and still be able to drive home... mission accomplished. We discussed in the beginning that we were not going to tackling every difficult obstacle we came across. We'll be back to Moab again soon.
Hopefully I will be able to do this trail when I go to Easter Jeep Safari 2019!! Great video looks like you guys had fun!! Fins and Things is one of my staples every time I go to Moab I have to do that trail.
I know you could have done Hells Gate. I do appreciate airing on the side of caution, but I have pretty similar build (RTT, two weeks of gear, two dogs, all in all 6500 lbs of jeep) and walked up without an issue. Escalator was a different story though. Look forward to the rest of the videos in this series.
@@TrailRecon I have to weigh in tomorrow before my PCS. We will see what I weigh now with a dynatrac axle and 37" tires. 6500 lbs was heavier than i wanted to be, but that was with us and the dogs in it. What does Marco weigh in at? I'm thinking i have a lot of extra weight in the wheel, tire, and armor dept. than Marco, so no surprise there. That's probably why I destroyed the rear bearing when I got in the middle of escalator. I can't wait to go back without my RTT and extra gear as well.
Just weighed the jeep "empty" for the move. 6100 lbs (no tent). I new the PR44 would add some weight as well the drawer system. Probably should go with aluminum armor for the next build ;)
I see you took that nasty exit. We usually turn around at Escalator and reverse the route. I think the Tip Over Challenge is named wrong. It should be the Don't Tip Over Challenge! :-D
Actually for this trail, I don't think I turned them on at all (although my memory isn't what it use to be!), the slick rock has so much grip you really don't need them.
Beautiful trip! But Joe is in a Rubi at the Gate. It frankly looked like he had open diffs going up there. Why would he have made that choice? Why not lock the rear at the least? And its not as hard as it looks. I seen Cherokee Trailhawks with full independent suspension making it up the Gate with only rear lockers and front BLDs. Taking my 19 JLU Rubi down there next year too. The Elevator scares me to death. Therefore I must do it :P
top heavy jeep. smart move by passing on and going to the obstacle. just have a great time with friends and your son. off roading
Your videos are awesome! I love that you take your sons out with you! My dad is retiring soon and I’m getting ready to take him out on some of these trails!

@Bronson Vance It did the trick and I now got access to my account again. I'm so happy!
Thank you so much, you really help me out!
@Ernest Solomon you are welcome xD
Thank you for those super high quality videos. Incredible !!! Enjoy your trip ! Waiting for the next part of it ! 👍😉👍👍
Thank you! More videos coming soon.

You need to take your time on the exit out for sure. Tofurkey fo the win!
Beautiful views... Brad thank you for filming. I think that's as close as I want see it.
Wow, another great video Brad!! They keep getting better and better. And yes, a little more nerve racking I'm sure on some of those trails. Thanks for sharing, that was awesome!!
Epic series! The cinematography is awesome!
Brad, Had a great time on the trail. Thanks for everything!
Rusty thank you for the great spotting!!
Good times!

A Moab iconic trail for sure!
Great video Brad, Great trails and good times as always. Those hot tubs look knarly!
Hey Brad, another great video! I really appreciate these, so tonight, I ordered a TrailRecon T-shirt to sport while I'm out wheeling my 2015 Sahara. Keep up the good work, and hopefully I'll see you out on the trail!
Glad you enjoyed it and thank you so much for the support by picking up some swag!
Thanks for the great video, Moab and Colorado are at the top of my bucket list.
Glad you enjoyed it! They are both great destinations for off-roading.
Thanks , good to see you are careful and worry about getting home in one piece.

Beautiful 4 wheel drive .Amazing
When I get my dream Rubicon I will settle for the bypasses 🤭. Great filming ! Looks fun and the area looks beautiful!

Thanks! I miss WA, my wife and I met in Bremerton.
Great video. Excellent quality and camera work. Thank you
Thank you, really appreciate it!
Marco has a SICK rig!!!

There were a few pucker factors on the trail, but all fun for us!
These videos are coming out at the perfect time. I'm going to Moab for the labor day safari and your video is getting me pumped.
You will love it out there!
Well it's about time!!! haha...thanks for this! ;-)
Congratulations Ethan!
More to come!

The pause at 14:52 from brad was priceless....like it was a joke that Marco was just making sandwiches..! Lol
Excellent vid! Challenging terrain and beautiful scenery.

Awsome view, awsome trails and real cool filming the scenery .... wish there was a road from Europe to Moab.....
Brad I’m watching you after having just finished installing some teraflex quick disconnect sway bar links on my Jk. I’m feeling inspired watching you man, awesome video as always!
A nice upgrade! I'm glad I can offer a little trail motivation... gotta get out there.
Thanks for taking the time to film and edit this, love watching it.
awesome bonding experience with Marco! and thanks for putting the GPS coordinates ... nice vid
Beautiful video.
Awesome Video! Looks like a Great Time! Thanks for sharing!
Fantastic production quality. Thanks!
Thank you!
awesome video. really appreciate the length and footage. Really enjoyable.
Thank you!
Rad- Great job Brad.
Looks like a Great Time!
Glad you like tough trails tho!!
Love this video! Cant blame you for not chancing it, I wouldn't!
5k to go!!
Great segment! Lookin' forward to more!

Really enjoyed your video. Great job involving your kid
Funny we just did a Austin TX to Lake City CO to Moab UT to Red river NM adventure in June. Going from Lake City over the divide to Ouray was our favorite.
Sounds like a great trip! I wish I could have spent more time in CO.
I had to laugh when you mentioned Marco is always cooking up something awesome, right before he says he's eating tofurkey.
Maxey hahaha! I don’t eat meat man! Tofurkey is bomb!!
OVRLNDX lol I’m not judging! I just thought it was funny because most people don’t associate tofurkey with great food, lol.
Maxey I know man! That was funny tho! Cheers!
I don't trust anyone who doesn't capitalize on being on top of the food chain. ;)
I would really love to see more videos on the different rigs people have.
I enjoyed this video as well as all of your videos . Thank you for sharing . Wish I knew you guys were going to be there , I would have meet with you. Maybe next time ?
I like all your videos you make
Amazing adventure video, as usual!!!
Right on, glad you enjoyed it!
TrailRecon please make mor, I love these
Keep the great content Brad!
It’s funny you mention a front camera for hills. Just ordered the stuff to install a 4 camera system on mine. Planning front rear passenger front tire view and behind front axle looking forward

So much fun! Thank you!

Wow such a great video Brad. We really enjoyed this trail ourselves. My wife made the call to not do Hells Gate 😢 you got great footage but in November she’s ready to let me do it I can’t wait to video it.
Thank you and can't wait to hear about your trip in November!
I was just out there in April. Hell's Revenge is great but Fins and Things and Poison Spider were definitely my favorites!
My son and I both agree we like Poison Spider better.... that video will be out soon.
@@TrailRecon That speed zone really makes that trail unique.
Nice video, great shots and great quality and editing.

I hope Motor trend on TV pics up your show. Its awesome!
Hopefully I will be able to do this trail when I go to Easter Jeep Safari 2019!! Great video looks like you guys had fun!!
Fins and Things is one of my staples every time I go to Moab I have to do that trail.
Sage advice , looked like a fun trip.
Thanks! The trip only gets better and better from here!
good call on skipping it hells gate. Live to fight another day.
What lift is shown In the beginning of the video?
I love your new intro!
Love your videos
Verry nice thanks for sharing.
Epic indeed.
Amazing !!
The guy doing hells gate had the extra gearcase to do it!
Great stuff Brad👍
Thank you!
Amazing footage, Thank you!
Were you using hill descent on this trail? Is that a 4 Low setting only? Can you use 4 Low on that slick rock?
Hey Brad hope all is well. What time and rim size combination is Marco running in this video?
I know you could have done Hells Gate. I do appreciate airing on the side of caution, but I have pretty similar build (RTT, two weeks of gear, two dogs, all in all 6500 lbs of jeep) and walked up without an issue. Escalator was a different story though. Look forward to the rest of the videos in this series.
6500 lbs... you are heavier than Marco's Jeep. All good, just gives me an excuse to go back to Moab!
@@TrailRecon I have to weigh in tomorrow before my PCS. There is a lot of rubber on that rock !
What do you guys do when you need a number 2 midway through the trail?
Hell's Revenge in Joe's Jeep, was the sway bar disconected?. Looks to me that might of held it back from crawling up.
selling my motorcycle to build an XJ to do this trail, so exited can't wait
A well built XJ will perform great on this trail!
So jealous of you guys and gals out west! Thanks for another great video Brad. Are you picking up any new “badge of honor trails” with this trip?
Thank you! Lot's of new badges will be added to the Jeep once they arrive in the mail!
were you running 5lbs of air in your tires on this one Brad?
thats awesome man, how do you like the newer jeep engines vs. the old straight inline engine?
Did you have to regear your jeeps at all?
I see you took that nasty exit. We usually turn around at Escalator and reverse the route. I think the Tip Over Challenge is named wrong. It should be the Don't Tip Over Challenge! :-D
How do you know how much extra gas you’ll need and to bring?
Could you do a falcon shock review, and how they compare to a coilover setup. I'm sure they're both awesome but one has to be better.
Great video! What fenders is the black Jeep wearing?
The Black jeep has the Metalcloak aluminum fenders. I chose to go aluminum for the weight.
Great Video again Brad.... How often do you have your Lockers engaged on Terrain like this ? 😃 And PS agreed... Good choice on Hell’s Gate.
Actually for this trail, I don't think I turned them on at all (although my memory isn't what it use to be!), the slick rock has so much grip you really don't need them.
dude this trail is ridiculous.... :)
onion creek has a t rex track by it if ya know where to look!. i was so lucky to live in moab fo 2 yrs the locals hold alot of secrets
Oh man, I would have loved to have checked it out, but some things are better left along for the general public.
Beautiful trip! But Joe is in a Rubi at the Gate. It frankly looked like he had open diffs going up there. Why would he have made that choice? Why not lock the rear at the least?

awesome video Brad. how long was that drive from SD to Moab? you guys camp along the way?
also, 9:41 guy has the national ensign the wrong way. 😬
It was just over 13 hours of straight driving. We only camped once we reached Utah and Colorado.
