I actually picked up the apex hunter recently, also in .308 but what I didn’t notice at the time of purchase is that the barrel is a 1:8 twist. Are you showing the same twist rate on yours?
Thanks I appreciate it! I went out one more day but unfortunately it was deja vu. Are you sure it’s 1:8??? I measured mine and it came out to 1:9 inches. MidwayUSA has a terrific video on how to measure the twist rate. Instead of using tape I use a dry erase marker. I hope this helps and hope you enjoy the rifle.
