I am proud to say that I work at Savage. It’s awesome to see people enjoying our products. Can’t wait to share this video with my colleagues. Thank you for showcasing our hard work
Savage is such an underrated firearm company. Their accuracy is usually excellent. Maybe, if they raise their prices quite a bit, more people will appreciate them. People are funny, they (over) pay a lot of money for certain firearms that are just OK but they don't want to pay less for a "cheaper" firearm which is superior to many other firearms because it is considered a "budget" firearm. Lol, business and advertising are interesting.
It's funny how people will buy a Remington 700 and then immediately upgrade the trigger and the barrel on their brand new rifle. If you just buy a Savage you can shoot MOA or better without upgrading anything.
I'm tellin ya..every time you give a sermon after the second shot you kick the third one out !!! love that gun 1st WSM i've seen so far. Always thanks for that :) Keep on keepin on :)
More like 2 years ago. First bolt action rifle I bought right after I turned 18 almost 15 years ago was a savage. What a turd it still is. Took bedding the action in a Boyd’s stock and loading my own ammo for it to get huntable accuracy out of it.
Their customer service is for shit just being honest, I purchased a 338 federal in their ar platform and sent it back 4 times and then sold it for a whopping loss and will never buy any thing savage makes and trash them anytime I can ! Complete disrespect and I ditched all my savage inventory except a lever 308 my grandpa gave me. Thing kicks like a mule but my grandpa loved it and took everything but a grizz with it.

I 've had a Marlin XS7 .308 for 20 years. She is sweet. It is a Savage clone with the barrel nut and floating bolt head and the accu trigger. When Remington went bankrupt, they sold Marlin to Ruger but Remington kept the cloned Savage action and calls it the 783. 👍

Adam , Keep your breathing under control. It's hard when you're talking . I have a Savage 11 in 300 WSM . My groups vary from time to time. I contribute that to my age (64) and old eyes. I'm presently in the market for a Savage 110 in a long action like a 3006 to be re-barreled to 35 Whelen. Keep pumping out the videos. Leave the ticks in the woods lol.
Even though Winchester states the same ballistics on the ammo boxes, prior to the WSM introduction, 300WM 180g ammo was listed almost 100fps faster than the WSM, then, guess what? Overnight the ammo was reduced to match, such a pity because the new velocity ammo didn’t group. Handloading the 300WM gets 3200fps with 180’s…WSM can’t match that…
Cool videos, and I’m enjoying all the content. You’re certainly putting in the hours! May I suggest, just be mindful how long you leave a round “cooking in the chamber” while talking to the camera etc. I’ve found a noticeable increase in velocity/pressure if the rifles already fired a few rounds. That in turn often throws that shot out of the group. Just my 2 cents worth. Cheers & your channel is helping pass these winter nights down here in New Zealand 👍
I have a Savage 110 VSX HUNTER XP in .243 and love it. I've previously owned two other 110 rifles in .243 and 7mm Rem Mag and they have all been tack drivers.
I love how you have such a bond with your son. That's pretty awesome. He's a pretty good shot as well. The 3 shots 1 hole was ,"The Group"! Very nice shooting..tywhoteewho.
You have one of the most accurate inexpensive set up. My only worry would be getting ammo. Have heard that the 300 wsm is difficult to come by. I have that same scope on a 6.5 grendel and I think it is the best Chinese glass on the market. Good rig at good price, have a lot of fun with it!
I've shot the norma target hp in my 6.5 creedmoor and depending on the lot (bought 3 sets of 200 rnds), is crazy accurate. My 6.5 cm Aero AR-10 can consistently keep 5 rounds in quarter size hole at 200 yards. This is most likely my limit, not the guns, as I was shooting off a Death Grip while sitting in a lawn chair. Lot of fun though.
Outstanding marksmanship!! Fantastic platform.. Tightest group I ever shot was 5 boolots in one hole @ 100 yards using my friend's Savage model 12 LRPV in 223, spitting out factory 55 grain Hornady. V-Max. Love your channel Hoss..👍👍
Awesome shooting even if you didn’t recognize it live. That last group was so accurate it would knock the hair off that tick’s behind. lol 😆 I definitely do like 300 WSM and all three of my current rifles are from Savage. Sadly at least where I’m at in the northern panhandle of West Virginia and eastern OH, it’s extremely rare to see ammo for it on the shelves at places like Cabela’s, Dunham’s, Sportman’s Warehouse. Thankfully 😅 I can reload for it. Although I have thought about selling it and getting a left handed rifle in 300 WM since you can find ammo anywhere or 7mm PRC.
